The bicycle car carrier rack is easy to install. There are hooks to protect car paint. It is easy to set up a cradle clamps. Due to customizability, some assembly is required. PLATFORM STYLE 2-BIKES CARRIER Up to 2 bikes can easily be transported with the Sturdy Steel Structure and Stable Platform. The car fit type is universal. The bikeRACK HITCH is aTILE. It is designed to fit the trailer hitch receiver. 90 lbs is the maximum weight capacity for a bike. It fits most bikes frames with 17 to 47 inches. There is a distance between two bikes. There are two moored hooks. Two foam-padded hooks can be slid down over the vertical frame to fit a different size bike frame for safe and reliable transport. Four wheel cradles with knobs can be adjusted along horizontal bars to accommodate bikes of different lengths. Bike wheels are secured into a wheel cradle with tire straps. The rack folds in to a compact size to access the car rear boot or easy storage when not in use. The rack folds in to a compact size to access the car rear boot or easy storage when not in use.
👤The bike rack is heavy. The materials are solid and don't feel like they will break soon. It comes with everything you need to set it up, and you can even get extras if you need them. It is heavy and looks overwhelming, but it is easy to put together. I like that it can be adjusted to fit different bike sizes. This is a good find.
👤It's difficult to find a good quality bike rack. I took a chance with this one, and it works perfectly. It is made of thick steel and has a stabilizing plate that will keep the hitch from wobbling. If you can tolerate their briefness, this is not a deal breaker. This bike rack is an excellent one that is comparable to some costing over two times more with the addition of 4 strategically placed washers. I added these parts because I like assembly. You don't need the extra washers to make it usable. I only have one bike. The bar can be extended from the truck hitch to the vertical support bar to open SUV hatches. I haven't found any bar flex carrying my bike. The bike retaining assembly and the bike holding rack are both 30 inch long and can be removed from the main support bar. I was very pleased with this purchase.
👤We decided on this rack because we needed a better way to haul our bikes. We can use it on both of our vehicles. We used a padlock and cable to secure the bikes to the vehicle, and an additional CZC hitch tightening plate to take some of the slack out of the brackets and bar. I traveled from our home in Louisiana to Tennessee in my SUV with the bike rack secured and loaded up. 500 miles of highway to get there, up and down mountains, rough roads, rain, and left unattended many times. We had peace of mind that our bikes were in place, and the rack held up. The back up camera was used. This is not a big issue, but we can still see behind us and use the mirrors. There is a We purchased an additional hitch plate. The hitch bar and the bike mounting brackets were not fastened into the bar. I felt better eliminating the slack and making the connection tighter. There is no swaying or rocking on the bikes. Everything is locked up. Replacing the hitch pin with a locking pin eliminated the concerns of a thief or vandal. No one will remove a bike from the rack if there is a 6 foot plastic coated cable and padlock. Added protection.
👤We were unable to use the products because of the missing parts. We had it all put together and then realized they were not in the box. The 2 hook brackets are labeled " Two Padded Hooks". The hooks can be slid down over the frame to fit a different size bike for safe and reliable transport. They weren't in the box. The bike rack needs hook brackets to work.
It installs in seconds. The insert fits either 1 1/2 or 2 inch receiver hitches. A quick install hitch secures and tightens a rack inside of a receiver hitch. When not in use, the arms fold out of the way and the rack tilts back. Individual tie downs are used to protect bicycles. Accommodates a wide range of bicycle frame designs. Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers.
👤I had a bike rack that failed on my first drive. I did not go over 60 mph on one of the bent down bars. They were not helpful when I contacted them. The won't help resolve the issue. They won't sell me replacement parts. They said it was a liability. Allen Sports customer service issues are similar to what other reviewers have said about them. Stay away from the bike rack. Adult bikes should not break a bike rack. I need your help to resolve this issue and turn this bad experience around. I would be happy to update this review.
👤I thought I should write a review for the Allen bike rack that we purchased 3 years ago. It's aging well and handling the constant sun exposure very well, so look at my pictures to see how well it's doing. We leave the bike rack on all year long. The red handle has finally succumbed to the sun and a piece broke off recently, but it hasn't affected the function of the item. We ride our bikes three times a week. The hatch door of the SUV is used a lot for loading groceries, gear, etc. During the snow season, we use the bike rack with the ski/board rack. Everything is holding up well. I like the simplicity of the bike rack. I like that it doesn't have seat-tube stabilizers, they always got in the way when I took my bikes off and on with previous racks. If you want to keep your bikes out of the air during the car's braking and acceleration, you can leave a bungee cord in the vehicle and use it to put the bikes on the rack. It's easy. The top swing arm has a little play on the down position so you can hear it clanking when you accelerate from a stop light. There is a This is an easy 5 star rating from me. Feel free to ask any questions you have.
👤I would like to give this a 5 star rating. But... The bike rack is of the highest quality. We can easily and securely haul two bikes. The lock broke when we locked the mount into place. The knob will not loosen or tighten. It's been stuck on the back of my SUV for a long time. Allen Sports has reached out to us. Allen Sports will return our calls. We haven't received any call backs. If you pay the extra money, you can get a Thule brand. I think they have better quality and customer service. I would have liked to have gotten a Thule.
👤If it weren't for the locking version, this would be a 5 star review. If you only need to remove one bolt to lock the hitch, you can take the bikes. You will still have the hitch receiver. The rest will be gone. I used the safety chain slots on the hitch after buying a chain and lock. You can run a chain through the bike.
The 4 bike rack is only for vehicles with a 2 inch trailer hitch. This product requires a Class III or IV 2 inches hitch. Allen's patented tie down system secures bicycles with 22 inch long carry arms. When the rack is not in use, the carry arms quickly fall out of the way. It is necessary for minor assembly. The rack is set up and installed in less than 5 minutes. Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers. Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers.
👤I took some time to use this product before I wrote my review because I wanted to be able to help people decide if this was right or wrong for them. Here is how I use the bike rack. We only travel about 10 miles to where we ride when we have it attached to the hitch of my truck. There is a The pros are as follows. The rack I bought was cheap. I paid $68.00 for it and it has doubled in price. It will come down again, so my suggestion is not to pay more than $68.00 for it. I've seen this happen recently. There is a I can't say how it will hold up in the weather because I only put it on the truck when I need it. This is made from heavy steel and it is not light weight so that should be a plus for its longevity. The cradles that hold the frame of the bike in place are padded so that they fit girls and odd shaped frames without having to buy the extra support bar. It uses a bolt and nut to remove the rattle instead of a locking pin. The mounting system is both pro and con. The pro is that it stops the bike rack from rattling inside of the hitch. There is a If you keep the bike mounted to the vehicle, the frame support arms fold down to make it easier to store away when it's no longer needed. The bikes have been secured with the straps and buckles. I don't know how they would hold up in the sun and weather. The bike support arms fold down, as well as the lower joint. If you need to open the SUV rear door, this is the place to go. There is a Cons. I don't think this particular rack is terrible, but I think you can only design any hitch mount bike rack to do so much. I don't think this design will improve some of the cons I have listed. 1st. The bikes are close together. You have to manipulate pedals and handle bars as you stack the bikes together after the first one. You will need extra bungee cords to secure the spinning wheels and handlebars. Not because the bikes will come loose, but to prevent everything from hitting together and scratching all of your bikes up. The bottoms of the bikes swing back and forth if not bungee strapped. You will get scratches even if you mount things carefully because pedals and handle bars stick out. There is no way to avoid that. The pivot feature is useless when bikes are mounted. If you need to open a car on an SUV, the rack is too heavy to be lowered. Maybe its not supposed to be lowered with bikes mounted. I'm not sure if it would be heavy enough to clear an SUV door with bikes mounted to it. I have it on my truck. There is a The tension bolt isn't as quick to remove as a hitch lock. It is an aircraft style locking nut and you need 2 tools to loosen it. If someone wanted to take the time they could unbolt your rack and steal it. I tried mounting it with a hitch lock, but it allowed too much play in the bike rack to happen. The tension bolt will have to be replaced. The bike support arms can be mounted to the upright. I don't think it would be an issue with breaking if they had designed this area to be a bit more solid. There is a Those are the main points I've noticed. I could see some improvements, but I'm not sure how you could make this type of rack better. If it's right for you, read the review.
The maximum weight is 35 lbs. Each bike weighs 105 lbs. Total Anti-rotation inserts and oversized diameter tubing are safe to use. 25 kilo/55 lbs. Protects your bike's finish with rubber coated clamps. The steel has a black powder coat finish. It's ideal for mounting your lady or Y shape bike to a car rack or home storage unit, an alternative way which allows the bike didn't have one straight bar cross, to have extra clearance when putting your bicycle on hitch boot bike ute tow ball spare wheel car rack. It's easy to use, it installs quickly and securely to your seat post and stem to adopt a wide range of bikes for transport. Push to operate pin and interlocking gate keeps the clamps closed. The bike capacity is one bike weighing up to 55 lbs. The dual suspension cruiser is great for kids. If the seatpost is shorter than 59 cm and the handlebars are shorter than 23 cm, it is not compatible. You can order now and pay free. They can provide a life time warranty for their product. It was made in Taiwan.
👤Doesn't hold the bike firm enough. There is nothing that can be done to stop the bar from spreading. To hold the bike, you need to put something at the eyelets. I cut two pieces of a pool noodle, one went around the seat post and the other half went to the front of the handle bar. I used a bungee cord. My wife's Mtn bike makes it difficult to hang from a gravity carrier.
👤I needed a bar for the bikes. This product is very well made, it was $10 less than a local bike shop, has stickers on it, and it goes on bikes in different ways.
👤It's great for attaching heavy bicycles. Well made, strong! If you have a big bike without a top tube for hanging it on your rack, this is what you need.
👤I am training for a 400 mile ride in Colorado in a few months. I live on the beach. There are no hills or altitude here. I use my beach cruiser to help strengthen my legs. I can carry this bike on my car rack for more challenging rides because it's a girls step through this bar. It's easy to install. I put it in my trunk. There is a This product is perfect for anyone who rides a step through bike and wants a simple and safe way to transport it. I am very happy that I found it. Best purchase ever!
👤The anchor point for the bike rack to pull down on is provided by this bar, which goes from the stem to the seat post. The bar pivots easily by pressing a pin to open the end points. If you have a girls bike that you need to haul on the rack, this is a must- purchase. You still need to use tie-down, there is too much play, and your bike will hop around on the rack without it. The bike was pulled down to the rack using tie-down. Don't skip this step.
👤We have used this 3 times. Going down a road. It had a failure. We had our camera on and a strap. We were able to recover the bikes after I saw it waving. The bar was the main point of failure. One arm was bent up while the other opened. The bar is great if you are on a smooth road. The bar can't hold on if you are on a bumpy surface.
Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers. The hooks are foam-padded and do not scratch the bike's finish. Hooks and tire cradles are used to fit most bikes frames. 👤The product was in good condition. Over the years, we've had several bike racks. The type that hangs your bike from the cross bar is all of them. There are only two frames we have to transport. The female bike was a pain with the extra bar. Not any more. We love this rack. It took about 15 minutes to get it together. It works well in our 2 inch receiver and is stable. They said it was rock solid when I used the clamps. The bikes are super secure and easy to load. Going down the freeway. Awesome. The name brand units are a great price if you check them out. The quality is very good. Highly recommend this product.
👤You can tell by the weight of the box that it is a large hunk of metal. Do not be deterred by the posts that say "too many parts" or that it's too confusing. The average person can figure this out in 20 minutes if they have pictures and instructions. There is a You will want to use the hitch lock piece. It is a deterrent to theft as someone will need a deep sockets or inc wrench before they can remove the carrier, and it keeps the carrier rock solid in the receiver. It will take more work to get your bikes to fit without touching each other. The bikes are reversed in the photos that come with the carrier. I couldn't make this work because the handlebars on one bike made contact with the seat on the other. There is a I have two bikes facing the same direction and the carrier works great. Everything was safe and sound because of a high speed run down the freeway and a drive all over Houston's crappy streets. The red arrow should be noted. As with all bike carriers, it is important that you put some kind of material between the bike and the carrier, as movement and vibration can wear paint.
👤I was worried about the price and the fact that it had no reviews, but it was easy to put together and it fits on the back of my jeep wrangler with the spare tire.
👤I read reviews. Know when I do... I took out the 5 stars. They have to own the company or stock. One star can't even see the pictures and this is easy to assemble. Period. I saw a lot of things. The husband and wife team. It's funny. Repacked and sent it back? You sent the bike rack back. Not a bolt or washer to assemble! The rubber tire straps would be difficult to push over the steel peg. The instructions were terrible. Agree! Take a look at the parts picture. It is easy if you use common sense. I adjusted the bike by shaking it. It is going to your destination. Oh yes... No common sense people... There is no off loading your bike pics. The bottom line. I look forward to my first trip with my bikes because of the inexpensive, sturdy, easy to assemble bike rack. The bike rack is very EXPENSIVE but at a fraction of the cost of a bike shop rack. Those of you that can't figure it out will get totally assembled bike racks. There are bike shops waiting for you. Enjoy your travels with your bikes.
Also, note: The speed of the vehicle should be under 40 km/h if the Safety Strap is installed. The lenOX CAR BIKE RACK is a car. 👤Our bikes almost flew into someone's car after the straps broke. Both bikes are damaged permanently. I wouldn't recommend this product.
👤The price point is great.
👤The product is good for the price. There is no noticeable shaking when there is weight on the rack. The rack will prevent banging on starts and stops.
👤This was easy to put together and install on my car, I'm 75. I love that I can lower it to get into the back of the SUV. I'm very happy.
👤The straps are strong and easy to use, and my bike is held strong on this rack. I began to notice rust and paint chipping very quickly. The bolts that adjust the pads on the bike have rust.
👤There is not much to assemble. The two bike rack is great.
👤It is easy to install with a component of security.
👤The mount is good, but I wish the cradles were a little bigger. The cradle handles a 1" tube frame perfectly, but mine is likely 3 and it causes the bike to roll a bit. I had to purchase more straps as my bike nearly flew off the mount on the highway, I would like to think of a way to hold the bike close to the hinges in the future.
👤Funciona perfectamente, es simple. Se mueva del tiron. Carga perfectamente con dos mtb y perfect
👤It's easy to put on and off. No need for a lock that is swivel. It can't be stolen if you Tide up the anti rattle screw.
👤Es prctico y fcil de instalar.

👤I picked this up six months ago, after bolting on a towing hitch to my Odyssey. When I turned in my man card to buy a minivan, a tow hitch and rack made my life a living hell of fighting off women, as if I didn't have enough problems fighting off women. I have used it to: Haul 3 large storage bins full of about 80-100 lbs of camping gear 800 miles to the beach and back, Haul 2 adult bikes and 1 kids bike all over the place, and Haul a lion carcass. It has held up very well, even when I pull out of my drive way, since my van has the ground clearance of your average skateboard. I have figured out how to remove it solo after a number of attempts, even though I'm a strong individual. There is a Before loading your vehicle with stuff, make sure to check the tongue weight and towing capacity of the vehicle. I recommend against using lawn chairs with straps on it and telling your kids that it's a safe 4th row seat with a view because kids are dumb and less durable than you'd expect.
👤The Tow Tuff 2 was delivered 2 weeks ago. The packaging was damaged in delivery. All pieces were in a box and there were no dents. It's heavy for me, but with the help of my husband or son, it's not bad. The instructions are too small to read. The picture on the back has too many lines and numbers that are hard to understand. They don't know which bolt to use. I looked at the other people's photos and tried to assemble. I took pictures of the bolt I used, hopefully it will help someone else. I recommend getting a hitch tightened and a pin to lock it, it only fits on my Chevy Silverado. I like the straps, I put 3 cruiser bikes on it and the straps were secure. It seems to be a great item so far. It's a good quality cargo/bike rack. If you can't afford a brand that costs $400 or more, I recommend it. Do your research.
👤I feel like I have to write a review because of all the poor reviews. There is a The rack works well. It's perfect for what I need: bikes and camping gear. There is a It has cheap paint. Who cares? It's a cargo rack. If you find spray paint unpleasant, use some dollar cans. It moves. Get this and stop complaining: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001CMUV4/ If you store it upright, the reflectors will break because they are mounted to the outside of the rack. When storing or getting reflective tape, flip them around to the inside. There are non-flaws. Assembly was difficult. It took me half an hour to build. It will take a lot of work to get the pieces in place. If you can't see a picture and how it meshes, then you should ask your daddy. It's not a toy. 2. It's made out of metal and it's heavy. If you can't lift it, look for an adult. If it were pre-assembled, you'd be complaining about shipping costs. 3. The tie-down strap is not strong. It is false. The tie-down strap is made of a material that should weigh hundreds of pounds. The cargo rack is heavy. The strap is used to hold the weight in place. There is plenty of space for 4 bikes with the tie down strap. 4. The loops that attach the tires are weak. The loops are not supposed to carry the weight. They are to keep the tire from being damaged. There is a It's a nice bike rack. It can be used as a cargo rack. Assembly will be fine if you've built erector sets. If you have fat sausage-link fingers and man-boobs, then you will be lost because there is no pause button at the start menu. If you plan to use this behind a BMW X5 you should save yourself a lot of money by buying a pretty one from the dealer.

Each bike has a custom fit for tire holders.
👤Product is sturdy enough to hold the heaviest of bicycles. It is easy to install. The paint has held up to scratches, rain and road rash. There is a I would have rated the product higher for its strength if thewashers were useful. The useless washers they send in the kit should be thrown away. They are worthless because they bend easily. The bikes will flip down the interstate if the washers pull through expanded metal. The second step is to find a cheap metal plate that is 1/16 inch thick. Cut at 4.5 inches minimum and drill a 7/16 inch hole for each piece. To avoid rust, clean and paint. You have something that will work with expanded metal. This issue needs to be fixed by the manufacturer. It would cost about a dollar more per kit to make these, but people would still buy them. For the additional hard work of making the rectangular washers, drink a Bourbon. The installation should be done according to the manufacturer's instructions. I made sure to place the outside rectangular washers under the rack frame to provide more support. If you hit a potholes, you'll be able to support your bikes with the poorly welded camper rack. I hope the review was helpful. Brian.
👤The first photo shows how these work. The rack needs to be bolted to the wire mesh. It is held in place by compression. It was wobbly after I did all four and added bikes. I loosened the nuts and the rack fell off. Not good! The second photo shows the modification I made. I bought a piece of flat steel at Home Depot for about 15 dollars. I bought HDG bolts, nuts and washers. This thing is tight after all were installed. Very strong. I feel good driving with them. The straps are rock solid and I use them. I wouldn't use this without modifying it. If the thin wire mesh breaks, bye bye bikes and probably a lawsuit.
👤If you don't want to buy a bike rack separately, this is a great option. I mounted the wheel guides differently because the rack folds up and I already had it. The wheel guides are on the outside of the rack. The rack can be folded up when not in use and the wheel guides won't hit my car. I can use most of the rack without removing the wheel guides. You use care when tying the bikes down. Put a tie down across the middle bar of the bike and put one to the short side to keep the bike stable.

👤Surprisingly good platform carrier. I spent a lot of time researching products from entry level brands all the way up to Kuat NV 2.0 level trying to find a rack that will last. I came across the 'right up' option. The 350 supports plus tires were found in my garage. I decided to go with this option because of the reviews and comparisons. I'm very happy! The frame is solid, the attachment to the vehicle is strong, and the bikes feel very sturdy when on. When the rack is left alone on the vehicle, I would recommend finding a security option. I used a bike lock to wrap it around my trailer hitch. I would recommend finding a buffer between your bike frame and upright support, because I worry about the rubber compound, and rubbing paint off the frame on longer drives is very nice. This is not a big deal. My wife built me a nice cloth tube to wrap around the frame. It works like a charm. I highly recommend this rack to anyone looking for a purchase where they are getting way more than what they are paying. I will be using this rack for a long time.
👤The rack is good, but it doesn't have the nice features of a more expensive rack. I think it gets five stars for the price, but it lacks in some features compared to more expensive racks. There is a It requires assembly, but that was easy. When assembling it, you have the option to either pivot down with bikes on it to access the lift gate or pivot up with bikes on it to escape the way. It's a little tricky to adjust the wheel trays and straps every time you load a bike. There is a It's a positive that it holds bikes safe and secure, no rubbing or scratching against rack or other bikes, and it's a positive that it's easy to get three full-size bikes on it. It's easier to fit bikes on the rack.
👤Can't imagine a better way to carry three bikes on a hitch rack. Ours holds a man's, woman's, and kid's bike with no issues, and it works great for me with one cradle one way. There is some bounce over bumps, but very little in a straight line, based on my knowledge that all hitch racks have some sway. There were no issues with the quality of the main components. There is a I wish those rods were sturrier because they seem to bend and not be the most solid technology for putting a rack in an upwards position without bikes. There is a I bought a cable lock to thread through the bikes and secure them to the hitch, but I wish the bolt was locked to the hitch. There is a I lowered the potential review from 5 stars to 4 because of the lack of locking/security features, the flimsy up/down conversion components, and the lack of being able to tilt the bikes away from the trunk, but my recommendation is that this is still a great rack for three bikes.
IKURAM's Lifetime Warranty is backed by it. IKURAM bike carrier racks are backed by professional consulting services. For more information, please visit the IKURAM web site. Carries up to two bikes. It fits a wide range of tire sizes. It is coated in powder for durability. It connects to 2 inch hitch receivers. The Anti-Wobble device is included.
👤There is a fatal flaw in this design. There is more to the locking mechanism for the tilt. When travelling down the road, it will back out. It is very worrisome. We were going to take a road trip from Washington State to Montana and we were so scared of the road that we bought this rack. We drilled a hole through the side to make sure the tilt doesn't release spontaneously. We love this rack but wouldn't recommend it until the manufacturer fixes the flaw.
👤In the last two months, I have bought two of these, one for my son and one for my daughter. They are being used for 70 pound rad rover e bikes. My son and daughter both have 70 pound bikes, both have used the hitch to transport the "140 pound combined weight" of the E bikes without issue, in my son's case he transported the bike's over a 7 day 1600 mile vacation. The hitch has a rated weight capacity, but they have held up just fine so far. There is a The only problem is that the "covering" on the hook that holds the bike's down has worn through and is causing some scratching on the bike frame, our plan is to replace it with a rubber automotive heater hose. There is a I first tested it on a spare 2 inch receiver that I bolted to the wood floor of my SUV, and it was not dangerous or crazy. All of the 6 people that own 70lb rad Rover e bikes are using the Capstone rack to haul their bikes, usually 2 at a time, between friends and family.
👤I would have given this 5 star rating, except for two annoying things. The good things first. I bought to carry my bike. I was concerned about finding a bike rack that could handle 70 pounds of weight and 4.5 inch tires. There is a The pros are 1. The bike rack is solid. It is very well made and it is solid because of the receiver tightening bolt. 2. It is very well designed with the folding tire platforms and various sliding components allowing you to modify it to nearly any bike. 3. The locking knobs allow you to piece of mind when traveling. I don't have to worry about the cable or lock rubbing on my bike or vehicle because I don't have to. 4. The design of the rack allows it to be tipped down or folded. There is a Cons 1. The rack is sold as a fat tire. Although most of the design supports that, the one component which is inadequate is the yellow straps. They are too short for my fat tires. I'm not sure if they would fit small tires. I need to replace these straps. 2. This is a complaint from other people. You need a wrench to remove the rack from the anti-tip receiver. It would have been nice to have another lock on the knob.
A vehicle is protected from a bicycle. The hitch adapter is better to fit the standard hitch receiver. Can be used on Class I, II, III and IV hitches. Transport 2 bikes with improved cradles and straps. A locking knob keeps the main upright sturdy. 50 lbs per bike is the maximum capacity. 50 lbs per bike is the maximum capacity.
👤Can't beat the price. The rack is wobbly. I have driven my car with it a couple times and no damage has been done. There was no noise. The straps are my main concern. I feel like if I don't tighten up the straps twice, it might get loose. Make sure it's secured!
👤There was a sticker on the outside of the box that said not to use the RV's on the bike rack. What is the deal? Can I or can't I? I've been an Amazon customer for a long time.
👤I use this with a Nissan Xterra. The hitch receiver is off the ground. Bikes ride very low on this rack. I have a bike that clears the road in about 7 minutes, but I have to remove the front wheel for clearance because I hauled my friend's 29" bike. It was annoying. There is a The rack is easy to assemble and works well. If you own a hitch riser, you could use this rack. If you don't make sure your hitch receiver is high, you might be disappointed. I got mine from Amazon Warehouse. It was assembled when I got it. The bottom part of the receiver was installed upside down after I looked at it. I unbolted the vertical bar and flipped the receiver over. It's a good 10 inches higher than it was, and the right height to work without the bikes being close to the road. I changed my rating to 4 out of 5 stars because I haven't used the carrier yet. I might revise again after that. July 2021. The bike rack works. It does move a bit, but all of them move to an extent, and there's nothing alarming about the amount of travel this one has while driving. If you tighten the bolt through the hitch receiver, you can minimize the wobble. I've driven this all over the place, including four lane highways and dirt backroads, and it handles my ebike without issue. If you have an ebike that has a battery on the down tube, it is advisable to remove the battery before putting it on the rack.
👤The rack is simply user error, and no one should pay attention to the negative reviews. The thing is pretty sturdy if assembled and attached correctly. You can watch my video. It is easy to install. The rest will take care of itself if you have the correct tools.
👤I will let you know the things to note for your purchase. There is a The pad around the pole was in the box. I expect this foam to back up in time. Simple packaging adjustments wouldn't affect the operations of the product. You can consider this under Aesthetics. There is a The picture is attached. If your bike doesn't have the horizontal bar, you will need an attachment. That is not a ding again, just a heads up. It takes about 15 minutes to assemble a person. To tighten the bolt, you'll need a wrench and a socketst. You don't want them to lose in time. 40 foot lbs of Torque is what Id gage. Don't tighten to the point you're squeezing the metal. The components are flexible. I was worried that my large bar would be too big. It seats well. I don't think many bikes have larger bars, but if you do, you may want to look for something else. There is a The straps are easy to use. You may be surprised at how easy they are to release. I would recommend doubling back on the strap. You should check these frequently as this is all that holds the bike. Modifications to this strap may be required after they become more used. The vertical bar needs to be installed the right way. If you put yours in backwards, it won't tilt until you reverse it. There is a The instructions state that this should be straight. This is a mistake. It will be able to access the rear of the vehicle, but not flat. There is a The instructions state to tie up the bike components to prevent them from turning into the car. Again, it's obvious. I wish they provided more straps for the product. To keep your bike straight, you need to go through the front wheel. The brakes should be tied to the handle bars. The less movement, the less vibrates. I recommend doing this regardless of your product choice. There is a I've been tested locally. I'll update if things change. I'm happy that I read the above and decided to purchase it, I think you will be as well.
