👤If your dry wall studs are not 32 inches apart, this bike rack won't work. The product description states that it works on Plasterboard, Dry or Stud Wall. The template for the holes to be drilled for the rack is 32 inches apart, and the interior garage wall has the studs spacing 18 inches apart. I mounted the right side into the stud and used 50lb dry wall anchors on the other side. After placing the second bike on the rack, the side with the dry wall anchor pulled out of the wall. If you can mount it into the wall, it will work.

👤The advertisement states that the rack works with up to 5 tires, but it is easy to follow instructions and use the template for the screws. It could hold my fat bike, road bike, and cross bike. The hooks are small on the unit that I received. Maybe I was mistaken and there is another rack with larger hooks. I can hang the fat bike on the rack, but I wish the hooks were longer. My dog only has four tires. Couldn't imagine trying to mount something bigger on these hooks. You have to make sure that the end of the hook isn't pushing into the fattie wheel. The fat bike is in the middle and the aluminum channel is pulled away from the wall in the center. There is a We'll see how it holds up. If you are using it for skinnier tire bikes that are not heavy, it is a great rack.

👤The bike rack is nice and works well. It's very easy to install if you have standard wood studs. The installation instructions make it seem like it's much easier to install than it is. I think it's hard to get a full sized 10 speed bike up onto the hanger. My wife can't do everything an average man can. It is easier to get them down. She can do that. She could probably get them hung up if she really worked hard at it. There is a It works great, but you need a little strength to actually use it. I can't find the button to attach pictures.

👤The instructions for mounting the rack were good. I had to mount a piece of lumber first because the location I chose didn't have the right spacing for the mounting holes. It was easy to mount the rack from there. The corner of my garage is where the rack is located. I had to figure out how far from the side wall to place the rack and still have room for a bike on, accounting for handle-bar width and hook placement. Your buyers might benefit from some guidance on this. The red hookcovers are cheap. I'm not sure they're needed, but more for aesthetic reasons. The shipping package had two halves of a red cover stuck together. I tried to pull the pin apart, but it broke. Oh well. Amazon sent me two sets of hooks and mounting hardware. I was able to steal one of the red clips from the spare set. It seems like a waste. I will not use the extra hooks. There is a I bought this rack because I thought the design would allow me to roll a bike up to the rack, lift one wheel and then roll it right onto the hook, with one tire still on the ground. I wouldn't have to lift the entire weight of the bike. The directions for this rack are very specific about how high off the floor the rack should be. I put up the bikes for the first time after following the directions, but not a single bike touched the floor. All three bikes have at least two to four inches off the floor. I am aware that bikes have different lengths. You might want to think about how far off the floor you want the tires to rest and account for different wheelbases before you mount this rack. I still have to lift the entire weight of my bike up when it's mounted off the floor. I ride a large mountain bike that is 27" in length, and I am 5 feet 10 inches tall. The prescribed distance between the hooks should be more of a suggestion. Depending on your bikes' bar width and how you hang them, you can have different spacing of the hooks. There is a The rack does what it says. I was able to mount three bikes. The bike rack is sexy for anyone who cares about bikes and is willing to pay for it. The cost is high, but the rack should last forever, the only breakable parts are expendable. There is a What does "sheerness" mean for Amazon? I'm having fun imagining.

2. Delta Michelangelo Two Bike Gravity Stand

Delta Michelangelo Two Bike Gravity Stand

They can keep enough parts for any claim in their warehouse, and offer a 5 year warranty on the rack. Bike storage is space saving. This large capacity vertical bike rack is made of quality steel and holds up to 2 bikes and a total weight of 80 lbs. The rubber feet keep the bike rack in place.

Brand: Delta Cycle & Home

👤I had high hopes for this bike rack. The stand will work perfectly despite the flimsy look, according to all of the reviews. Wrong. I have a small hybrid bike. My boyfriend has a bike. We could not get the bike to hold the bikes in place, which is a reasonable expectation for a small and Medium sized bike. There is a The older reviews seem to have been before the materials were changed. The rack I received had no red details. The grey grip that should hold everything is meaningless. When we put a bike on the rack, the arms that are on the frame start to slide so that both arms are on one side, and the bike slides over and one tire rests on the floor. Adding a second bike on top is a bigger disaster as that bike does the same thing and it rests a tire on the bottom bike, looks hideous, and I might as well have leaned the bikes on the wall. I tried spacing the arms further apart, swapped the bike places, but with the arms sliding wherever they please, it just wasn't working. It's a hassle and a waste of time to return it. I was looking forward to being able to store the bikes indoors, but I'm disappointed. The search is on.

👤It doesn't seem like it should work, but it does and it's amazing! It took a couple minutes to put the stand together. It leans against my wall and takes up very little space. I think it looks cool that I can get my bike up and out of the way. Everyone is surprised when they first see it and they have to touch it to believe it's strong. There is no chance of the stand tipping over because the bike is pulled towards the wall. I think this is a cool, well designed product and would recommend it to anyone looking to free up some space and store their bikes.

👤I don't feel very enthusiastic about this stand. It does the job, but has some design flaws. I'm not sorry I bought it, but I probably wouldn't buy another one. It does get the job done and is cheap compared to other bike stands. It was not easy to install the screws. The two pieces were not aligned correctly. There was no way to get the angle right to screw it in. Since gravity keeps the top piece on its own, I have set it up with a missing screw. It has not collapsed in 2 months. There is a The feet are not very stable. I have it on a hardwood floor, and I have noticed that it slowly slides forward over time. I have had to pull down my bikes, adjust the rack, and replace them twice because it had slipped too far for comfort. I might need to change the shoes for it. If I'd secured the top part to the wall with a screw, I might not have had this problem. There is a The bad news is that it doesn't hold my bikes well. The handles stayed put after I arranged them. The first day was rough, and I had a hard time getting the handle positioning right. Your bike's geometry and weight distribution will affect the relative heights of the handles. Try to angle them as far out as possible. I wish there was an extra piece to keep the front wheels in place, because they can turn and damage the wall. I rigged up a utility hook between the top front wheel and the wall to prevent this, but it's a little awkward. The utility hooks are not made for this purpose and are a bit too short, but they get the job done with a bag hanging off it. There is a It's a decent product. It works, but not fancy. It's cheap.

3. Bike Wall Mount Horizontal Bicycles

Brand: Pro Bike Tool

👤The rack is nice. It is built out of quality materials and has a lot of flexibility. The mounting points for this rack are a bit odd. They provide you with 3 small screws and masonry wall anchors, when they should have provided a beefier faceplate and 2 lag bolts to mount into a stud. My solution was to take a piece of scrap wood and mount it vertically to a stud using 2 heavy duty lag bolts, then mount the original screws to the wood. The rack gets 5 stars from me.

👤I was concerned my handlebars were too long for your wall mount, so I sent Chris a letter. To make sure they fit, I put a 2x6 board on my wall stud and then put a wall hanger on the board. It allowed plenty of room for the handlebars. There is a I had a problem attaching the hanger to the studs behind the plaster board. There is a one and three-eights inch distance between the wall hanger's two holes. The wall thickness is one and one-half inches. There is no time to get a strong attachment with only a quarter inch overlap. The instructions give a good idea of how to install the hanger on the wall. They warn that the plasterboard won't support the hanger. Very true. The wall stud's width is insufficient. Instructions to attach a 2x6 to a wall stud and then attach a hanger to that board were added by me. There is a The cradles for the bike are red or black, which is a point of favor for the Pro Bike system. The shape of your cradles allows room for the control cables if the bike has them beneath the cross bar. Great feature. There is a Thanks for your help. I hope my experience is useful to others. You have a good product.

👤Highly recommend this bike storage system. Enough about how great it is. I want to know how to install it. You probably do as well. I installed 3 holders. The first thing to do was to find the studs. To double check the exact location of the stud, I used a finishing nail and hammer to find the sides of the stud. I was glad I did because some of the stud finders locations weren't right. There is a You can mount the 3 holes of the brackets into one stud with longer screws than those that come with the kit. Some people have said this works. It didn't seem like it would be stable. I decided to mount a 2x6 across two studs. A 2x4 is not wide enough. I cut the 2x6's 22” long so they fit over the end of each stud. I used lag screws to attach the 2x6's to the studs. I used lag screws on both ends. There is a You will need a impact driver to get the lag screws into the stud. A regular drill won't do it. If you don't have an impact driver, you can always use a sockets wrench. After I tightened the lag screws down, I had to use a sockets for the 5/16 lag screw. I measured the bikes with the holder to make sure there was enough space between them. The measurement resulted in a spacing of 40” from the top of one board to the top of the next board. It was perfect for my bikes. Different spacing is required for your bikes. The wall mounts are perfect. Unlike other systems that are horizontal, these allow you to adjust the arms to fit the different types of cross members as not all bikes are alike. I think they are worth the money. The 2x6x8 was $11 and the 12 lag screws were $9. If you decide to purchase these, I hope this helps.

Brand: Storeyourboard

👤The rack is sturdy and easy to install. Even if I alternate the orientation, the spacing isn't great for my mountain bikes. I have 2 adult bikes and 2 kid bikes.

👤The bike rack is easy to install. The rubber coating on the hooks tore off as soon as we added the bikes.

👤Quality product that does the job, I just wish it was a little wider with the hooks being more spacing apart so the bikes don't entangle with each other.

👤I needed to organize my bikes to not take up too much garage space.

👤It's very easy to find them, level them, drill them holes, and send them off. It's a big deal!

👤The rack is easy to install. It doesn't hold the bikes securely. I bumped a bike and it fell off and hit me. I will not be using it anymore.

👤This rack is very strong. This is a good place to store your bikes.

👤It works like a charm because it is easy to install.

👤The hooks are tight together. It's nearly impossible to get out the two middle bikes without banging on the other bikes. Don't recommend.

Brand: Fleximounts

👤I rarely leave written reviews, but these are perfect. They are pricey and take a bit of time to put together. The ceiling joist takes the most time according to other reviews. I wanted to give a point of view on the sturdiness issue and leave a review on this item. A lack of sturdiness is created by any hanging object swaying. There is a wall stud between the bottom part of the rack and the block of wood. The wood block should be rack to the stud. All movement will be stopped by this.

👤I've read other reviews about the shelves being shaky, but that wasn't my experience. The shelves I bought in the spring of last year were rock solid and easy to install. I used an impact gun to tighten the bolts, so that may be the difference. The installation took about two hours from start to finish, with the largest portion of time spent locating the studs in the garage ceiling. I used the old-school method of tapping in a nail in a line until I found the boundaries of the stud, because I wanted it to be solid. The screws were set into the studs with the help of a impact driver. I tested my shelves by hanging them on my cars and they are rock solid. I tried to shake the ladder in the photo, but it didn't work. There is a When the garage door is up, my are over it. I only got 19 of it. It was easy to cut off the hang-down brackets with a jig saw. I found the shelves easy to install, and completely solid, so maybe they've improved the product, or maybe using an impact driver made the difference. Very happy with the purchase.

👤Maybe this is a good product. I am too heated to care at the moment. I get everything I need out of the way. I think I can put this up in 2 hours or less. I put my toddler down for a nap and opened the box. The box has no instructions. I pull up missing instructions on my phone when I go online. After measuring everything out, I get through the first step of installing the brackets. The instructions were not the only thing missing from the box. I'm missing over 30 nuts. If you have ever gotten halfway through a project that should be easy and it takes you a long time to get to a hardware store, you can relate to my frustration. I would just put the shirt back in the package and return it. I was not going to have to take it to the post office to get it back in the box.

👤I had to make a decision on a sturdy bike rack to hold our 4 bikes in my utility room. There is a This was a winner. The rack was not one continuous rack, which I loved. I was able to install two side by side to hold 4 bikes and use the other two rack pieces for our helmets and camel packs at a lower level. Heavy duty hooks are easy to install. I would recommend anyone for indoor or outdoor use.

👤We were able to install it in less than an hour after delivery. It was easy to setup. We had to save some space in the garage. There are 3 children and 2 adults with bikes. We have a small balance bike, 12 inch bike, 20 inch bike, 26 inch bike, and 26 inch tricycle. It is definitely worth buying. Let's see how it holds up over the next few months. It will be easier to parking in the garage.

👤We have six bikes and mulitple helmuts, at first I was skeptical, but this product is the real deal. It's easy to install and does exactly what it's advertised. I would buy it again and give it a 5 stars, which is something I rarely do when writing a review. This one surpasses all expectations.

👤The bike rack was easy to install. I bought tapcon masonry screws instead of the included hardware because I wanted to install it in a cinder block wall. It freed up a lot of room in my garage. I would definitely recommend this unit.

👤It works as advertised. The reason for the 4 stars is because you have to be careful taking the bike off and putting it back on.

👤The rack was perfect for my needs. It holds two bikes. You can adjust where the bikes hang.

👤I don't often leave reviews, but this bike rack is awesome. It's easy to install. Although there are enough studs to anchor it on, we weren't lucky enough to have the pre-made holes line up with the studs on the wall. I drilled my own hole into the metal with a drill bit and then screwed it into a stud. Would buy again.

👤I mounted the bikes to the wall of my garage to free up more space. It's worth the money.

👤It's easy to set up and comes with straps to hold the wheels and handlebars in place. I have four bikes in my garage. I drilled a pilot hole into the cleat I mounted on the wall, and used the existing screws without a problem, and it stayed put. I used a small wrench to tighten that screw. There is a The bike mout has a hook. The lock is secure and the strap helps keep my bikes in a row. The bicycle's wheels are against the ground. There is a If you use them to hang multiple bikes side by side as me, you will need to leave enough room between them to get a bike to the right. I have the hangers up sixteen inches apart. The kids can put their bikes up. The bike rack gets 5 stars from me.

👤The wall mounts look good. When using a driver to install the screws, the heads snapped off because they were low grade. You can get some decent screws for $4 at a hardware store.

👤The mounts are easy to install and can hold a lot of weight. The hardware they come with is terrible. More: The mounts work very well, as you can see from the attached photos. I use them to store large and small bikes close to the ceiling in the garage, this keeps them out of the way and frees up a lot of space. You should mount them directly into your studs. I wouldn't feel comfortable using the anchors. You should get your own screws. Quality screws can be found at any hardware store. The screws they provide are complete trash. You can twist the screw head to get it into the wall stud. I'm not sure if the screws would be strong enough to hold a bicycle. The included hardware is cheap and could be dangerous.

👤The hooks are five stars and I will buy more, but the supplies screws are criminally negligent. The screws break near the head when screwed into regular 2x studs. I have never seen screws that brittle. The screws are too small for the wall anchor. There is no holding power when you try to attach these without a stud behind them. The supplies anchors need two sizes of screws to work. I can only give a three-star rating for a product which is useful but dangerous through negligent accessories. The straps are very long and they don't make sense. When the hook is at the right height, where the bike puts slight downward pressure through its weight onto the hook, stabilizing the bike by itself, they are not needed.

👤There was no documentation upon hanging the first hanger, two of the four screws snapped in half under the power of a screwdriver, and three of the four screws on the second hanger snapped. This is not the captain America's shield, it is the wood studs that were being used to install it. I got back from the hardware store and reinstalled the first two hangers and the third using screws that are supposed to be used for wood rather than pudding, which is what I think the others screws must be used for. The fourth hanger had to be installed in the wall. I used the anchors. After returning from the hardware store a second time, I was able to hang the fourth one in the wall with the help of the anchors. There is a My five year old will play with the straps until one of the bikes does something bad and has to be grounded, which is the only thing I can think they are for. Save your money. Don't buy it.

👤This rack is easy to install, rock-solid, and looks nice and clean enough to make our bikes look a little better. I have attached a couple of pictures of my install. The plan was always to store only 4 bikes after I got the 5 bike model. Our bikes all have wider straight handlebars, and those take quite a bit of horizontal space, so it's a good idea to allow even more width. The garage door is on the right side of my house, so the handlebars can't extend past it. There is a The only change is that the hangers are not permanent. I've got a low one on the garage door end to make hanging/relocating that bike work farther from the potentially closed door, because the high one is open on one side. These are adult-sized bikes. I might consider moving the rack to a back wall in the spring in order to get more space, but it works well. I don't know much about handyman skills, so have some tips for the job. The main metal bar is very sturdy and the rack is light, but a stud- finder was essential. 4 bikes that are not made out of adamantium are heavy. The only practical option in this space was the 3 wall braces I used. It is solid with 4 bikes and braces. There is a The mounting screws are thick. I had to drill full-length pilot holes with a bit and then hand-tighten the screws with a big phillips screwdriver because I couldn't tighten them with a drill. One of the screws did not have the phillips grooves on the tip. I had extras because one of the clamps wasn't being used. I didn't have to worry about my stripping getting in the way of me. I didn't have any on hand already, but I'm sure the hardware store has good replacements. I used a level that reached across two of the braces. Perfect leveling looks nicer and doesn't put more strain on any one brace. You want the braces to be aligned so you can slide the main rack bar into place. I slid the bar into the first two braces after getting one screw in them. I adjusted the position of the third before putting the first screw in, and if I loosen the locking bolts, the bar will slide easily. It doesn't take much to make that much harder, so it's worth being careful with their positioning. There is a The locking nuts on the hangers were annoying to tighten. I gave up before taking my photos, but have since gotten the left one tightened. This helps keep the wheel on the level. The problem is that unlike the locks for the main bar or accessory hooks, these locking nuts are in the interior of the brackets. It uses a small 3mm key. The space is very small. You only get a 70 degree turn when you get the key lined up into the bolt. You have to pull the key arm and reset it after it hits the hook. I slid the bolt into the main bar to minimize the amount of tightening that would need the key. This step would be a lot easier if there was a hex key that could fit into this space. Don't let that affect you. Again, I have minimal home repair skills and experience, and this rack is really simple, and I got it all done in a couple of hours. The stud finder and level were very helpful, and the power drill and large phillips screwdriver were all that was needed to set it all up.

👤There are six bikes, two adults bikes and two small children's bikes. They fit. Only with a significant space between the two panels. Unless you intend to use them, you can't place them side by side like they are in the picture. I can't imagine using these with four adult books, even if you had the two panels spacing out.

👤It was easy to secure the plates for the rack because our garage is not finished. I used the screws that were supplied to hang my beach cruiser. After reading a few reviews, I was a bit concerned but the package arrived the next day. I knew the screws were going to be fine when I saw them. If you factor in that, you're going to be hanging multiple bikes. Unless you're hanging kids bikes, don't use wall anchors. You will not be able to save your wall. If you don't have easy access to the studs, you will have no issues or worries.

👤There is not a lot of room for a full size bike. It encourages it to handle. It should be fine if you have some kid bikes. It has stood up to kids. The rubber on the hooks should be reinforced so they don't scratch your rims. After a month of use, they were exposed.

👤The instructions were easy to follow and the materials were good. All and all this was done in 30 minutes. It is for 6 bikes and although you get 6 brackets for bikes and 6 brackets for helmets, it is hard to get 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes in the space without it looking bunched up and trashy. This would work better if there was another panel.

👤You can only put up 3 bicycles if you can't mount the sections right next to each other. Don't mount the rail to sheetrock with just the wall anchors. The weight of the bikes will tear through you and leave a mess. I mounted mine to a piece of hardwood board which I mounted into the wall studs.

👤The track is 3 separate pieces, but that worked out better for me. I was able to spread them out a bit more to make it easier to fit the cruiser bikes that we have.

👤It was bought to hang the bikes. It is sturdy so far. It will hold 6 bikes, but it doesn't have enough room to hold the helmets, so it needs another wall mount plate.

👤I think the screws have been upgraded as they were steel not aluminum and thick. I figured out how to hang them vertically so that we don't have to lift our bike over another and so far they seem great.

👤Get better screws before you install them. The screw became stripped as I tightened it. The cheap quality of hardware they send is shown if a screw is stripped from my hands. Get better screws before mounting. There is a The bike is held in the rack.

👤The need to get the bike off the ground during the winter months in Wisconsin necessitated the purchase of the rack. There were many reviews indicating issues with the screws. The reviewer used a 5/32 inch drill bit to drill the pilot hole. The screw threads were waxed. The piece of cake needs to be installed. The bike is on the rack and ready for winter. The bike arms are designed for round frames and not frames which are more flat. It works well for the flatter frame, but rides a little above the bottom of the arm. The rack is very durable and a good price.

👤These are great and great because they save a lot of space for you by using the wall instead of occupying space that you could use for something else and very reasonable price. I got 3 of them. They had their own screws. I've been hanging the bike for a month and they are reliable.

👤It will not sit on the wall because it came bent in a very awkward way. They decided to strip the screw heads. There is no way to remove the bike rack from my wall. The instructions on the Amazon page only told me to screw into the studs. It sticks out a lot. I need this because my bmx bikes have very wide handlebars and an ordinary bike will stick out and take up a lot of the room. My bmx race bike is 22 pounds and makes it flex a bit. If I put my other bike on it, how much it would flex?

👤The rack works well. Some users had complaints about the mounting screws. The hardware is fine if you drill a 5/32" pilot hole and use the correctsize phillips screwdriver. I think others were using a smaller phillips.

👤It is easy to mount and hold my mountain bike. I put the supplied screws in my parts bin and pulled out a couple lag screws with washers and mounted it. Job done! You can see from the photo that it seems to apply a little pressure to the cables, but they still move freely. This is a wall mount and also a cheap work rack because I can make adjustments to my brakes and derailleurs. My frame is an older aluminum one, so it's at least 30 lbs. I think this is durable enough to last.

👤I know what I'm doing when it comes to carpentry, so I don't think this is on me. The stud was located and the pilot was drilled with a 3/16 bit based on visually matching the screw. The head started to strip in a bad way when the screw was halfway in. I tried to remove it with a drill or a hand tool, but the stripped screw made it impossible to do so. The head was shorn smooth by the driver. I didn't use a small driver bit to start. There is a I was able to twist the screw out of the wall with a pair of vise grips, but it was very slow. I need to re- install my screws. I'm giving this two stars because no product should come with installation hardware that ruins the utility of the product.

👤Great product. The hoist wheels are wide so they prevent the rope from going into the crack. I had to contact the customer service because my rope was a little shaky. They only offered a $10 Amazon credit for me to purchase my own rope, instead of sending me a replacement rope. The rope I got was larger than the bike hoist I had. I made it work. I like the fact that the rope I bought on my own is a quarter-in size, it makes it easier to lift the bike to the ceiling. The other type of bike hoist that I used to have was of a lesser quality, but I know this is a great product. There is a I highly recommend that you mount this onto a 2x4 and then mount the 2x4 to the ceiling to make it more sturdy. I will post pictures soon.

👤If you wanted a better bike hoisting system, you would have to spend a lot of time figuring out what to buy and how to assemble it at a hardware store. The packaging indicates a lesser weight capacity than the 100 lbs listed in the listing. The weight capacity in my packaging is 100 lbs. I am confident that it is more than 100 lbs. This hardware could support it. The installation method is the actual limiting factor on weight capacity. The box has screws that are normally used for installing screws in sheetrock. Anyone who uses those to attach a sheetrock ceiling will have a problem. The result will be weaker if the hardware is screwed directly into the wood after a proper size hole has been pre-drilled. There are suggestions for mounting in other reviews. The instructions don't provide guidance on how to mount it. The installation instructions don't mention the correct route of the rope. There is a hole in the cam lock that should be threaded. It would be difficult to upsize the rope because the hole is barely large. The sheaves and pulley cheeks have gaps. The provided rope can jump out of the sheave grooves if there is a gap. The sheaves are designed so that squeezing the cheeks to reduce the gap results in a lack of lubrication at the axle. The hole in the cam lock does not allow a substitution of a larger rope. It is for this reason that I am giving 4 stars rather than 5, because a person could be misled by the plastic sheetrock anchors and fail to attach to solid wood. The hooks to hang the bike do not have enough curve to hold securely and you probably will need to bend to get a good result. I use a cord under the frame section to secure the hooks to the seat because it doesn't have a structure for them to attach to. There is a chance of conflict with hooks if you have a speedometer or similar device mounted on handle bars. The cleat that is provided to tie off the rope when the bike is lifted is pretty good, but the cam lock is enough to tie off the rope. If you are a belt and suspenders person, you might want to upgrade the cleat. The cleat can be used to get excess rope out of the way. There is a I would buy another one if I had a second bike because this is a good solution at a good price.
