👤The bike rack was assembled in about 2 hours. You will probably do it quicker. The package includes cheap wrench tools, but you will definitely want more. A standard crescent wrench and screw driver is required. There is a There is a basic configuration for 2 bikes or 4 bikes. The extended 4 bike version was ordered by us. Each bike has two loops, one for the front tire and one for the back. You slide on the inside and outside of the slide bar. There are two sliding padded loops that go up and down over the horizontal bike tubes after a post goes up between the two bikes. Take a look at my pictures. If you only have 3 bikes, then you only need to install 6 tire loops, which is why ours looks like it's custom made. It's the 4 bike version. We can remove the two bike extension and go to a two bike carrier. The contraption is on the back of our car and can be seen from the car. People are asking if you can open a trunk with bikes in it. I'm sure you could. The rack is heavy even when it's empty. You would need to be a superman to be loaded with bikes. You can't get into the back of the car when it's loaded with 3 or 4 bikes. There is a A key lock for the pin connecting the rack to the car is a nice feature. I can see someone driving past and tossing bikes into the back of a pickup, but I don't know if this lock will stop them. It won't hold a pry bar. There is a The bikes are locked onto the stand with a key lock. It's not going to be able to stop people from walking away with your bike. The padded loop was able to slide down enough to work with a woman's bike. The eBike tires work well with the rack. Even though the bikes weigh 45 lbs, 4 of them still feel supported on the rack. There aren't many negatives other than the fact that you have to remove the metal from the back of your car. It's going to be very difficult to remove this rack from the car, that's the worst feature. The bolt is screwed into the receiver. It's going to be difficult to remove that bolt because it's a no-slip type. They want to stop rattles and secure the stand to the car. It's going to be hard to put it on and take it off. I can already see the wear on the nut from being tightened up once. I've put it on and off 20 times. I have a feature on my car that is specific to me. The hatch will open if I loiter around the back of the car. The hatch would bang into my bikes when I loaded them. I can change that feature. I have to remember to do that. If you're after a heavy duty rack that's able to hold heavier bikes, this is the one for you.
No more special adapter is needed for your equipment from now on, it can be tied with a Silicone strap, and there is a Lifetime warranty. Two bikes weighing 65 lbs are held by Ebike compatible. The straps hold the wheels in place. Triple Lock Security is a way to keep your bikes safe. Feel confident with your cargo with the safety strap. The Anti-Wobble Hitch is a patented invention. Enjoy a smooth journey! It is important. Not for use on vehicles with less than 12 Inches from the bottom of the hitch receiver. 👤There are a lot of great features on this rack. There are security features that lock the rack to your car and lock the bikes to the rack. Everything can be changed. I was able to get the bikes to fit together without touching them. It looks great when you fold it up against the car.
👤I have spent over $500 on Yakima and Thule rack and I use them 3-4 times a week. I decided to give the rack a try because I was impressed by the wall mount from the Vibrelli. It arrived on Thursday and I was impressed with the quality and features that I had 2 bikes on the back, each worth more than my car, doing a 300 mile drive for a weekend of riding and racing with friends. I put this thing through hell this weekend and it is now my primary rack. No problem with fat tires. No problem with rough fire roads. I-95 and 85 MPH, no problem, last minute repairs to your rig before go time, no problem. I only had to use the dropper on one of the 2 MTBs. This thing is solid. It's easy. It took about 20 minutes to assemble, with good instructions and quality materials. I would recommend putting your money in the bike. Unless you have a brand name piece of jewelry hanging off the back of your vehicle. I will be posting a video soon.
👤I replaced my roof-mounted bike rack with a hitch-mounted one and I am very happy. Overall quality is great. The instructions and how-to video made assembling the rack easy. My fat tire bike and road bike fit on the rack. You can access the truck with a press of the foot. The included cable lock and rubber pads are some of the things that really impressed me. Cyclists designed this. Would definitely recommend.
👤It took me a couple of days to figure out what type of bike rack I wanted. I looked at price, brands, reviews, aesthetic design, weight, and features. The features of the most recent and expensive ones were all present in the bike rack that I came across. I was not sure if it had only one review. It was put into the market recently. I think it's perfect for my needs, especially the aesthetic ones, there are some expensive racks that look bad when you leave them on, and they might obstruct the license plate and rear camera view. The 2 bike tray style rack was very nice. The parts and finish of the product look very good and the price is fair, as a Quality Manager I can tell. Positive reviews will start to show up soon, as it will soon be one of the most popular bike racks.
👤Wow. I'm new to the bike rack market. My wife has a 15lb rock Hopper and I have a 60lb ebike. We're going to get another ebike soon. A Kuat or Thule is just so expensive, because we just installed a hitch on our outback. I understand. They're very nice. Then I came across a book. I'm very happy. It is incredibly sturdy. It was easy to use. For me. There are multiple locking features, sold to me. You can save a few hundred dollars and support a good cause. I bet you will also love this rack.
Any trailer, fifth wheel or towed vehicle has a slight side to side motion that's very low Frequency and that fatigues the steel from which the rack are manufactured. There is a tieredRACK. It's easy to access your car trunk. Remove the safety pin and allow the bike rack to tilt downward, giving you access to the rear trunk. Their rack is compatible with mountain bikes, electric bikes, road bikes with up to 5-inch fat tires, and up to 58-inch wheelbase. The lady bikes required a bike accessory. The rack is capable of carrying two super 73 E bikes if they are less than 70 pounds. Soft hooks that are co-injected with rubber are safe and secure. There are dual key locks that prevent bikes and bike rack from being stolen. You can easily accommodate bikes of different sizes with the help of the wheel holders. The reflective straps help improve visibility in the dark. Your bike stays firmly on the rack with additional security straps included. If the bike rack is in the storage position, you can carry it around with the carrying handle or hang it on the wall with integrated wall mount hooks. The 2-inch receiver works with vehicles. The rack is sturdy and does not wobble easily, thanks to a 12 inch anti-wobble pin and a key lockset. Not for any kind of Class B vehicles, trailers, or RVs. The 2-inch receiver works with vehicles. 👤The bike rack was great and I was able to use it one time, so it would have been a 5 star review. I tried to remove the locking hitch pin from my hitch receiver. It was very difficult to remove the rack from my car because it was locked. The hitch pin lock is locked indefinitely and the only time I was able to open it was that. One of the arms that holds the bike in place will not turn the lock. The fat tire e-bike had a great rack. The rack can no longer be attached to my hitch because of the poor locks. This bike rack would be great if it had better locks. Only one of the three locks works.
👤I own two e bikes. They are 70 lbs each. The rack has enough wheel supports for both fat tires and both. This is the right rack for heavier fat tire bikes.
👤The quality of the entire rack is very good. I have no problem getting my Fat tire bike in the rack even with my limitations. Strong mating surfaces are easy to assemble. It folds up nicely for storage. Design flaws: 1. I recommend a cable lock through the car frame because the locking hooks can be defeated by letting the air out of the tires. 2. The pin lock and anti rattle bolt design are excellent, but make sure the lock fully opens before installing it. It took a half hour to get enough leverage to remove the defect, and you have to risk pliers on the key to do it. He sent me a new one. 3. The bike support assembly can be stolen if you remove the one bolt that secures it to the tongue. I would like to know if they use the same PIN lock for this. There is a This is an excellent device. Added later. I received a new lock and pin from Hyperax. Excellent.
👤All part seems heavy duty. There is a The bolt that secured the receiver was too short. The lock wouldn't work. It had to be locked down so that it could catch. I haven't used yet, but I'm looking forward to trying. The company immediately corrected the issue after responding to it. A new lock and a longer pin are sent. I was very impressed with the immediate reaction and remedy. They said they will have longer pins. Great job!

👤The delivery was done in two days. The back of the camper has a 2 inch hitch mount. The hitch and bike rack meet and we put the stabilizer on where the hitch and bike rack meet. The rack is made so it doesn't wobble. The tie downs on the wheels were reinforced with additional straps. It didn't have to have either of these additions because the bikes are very heavy and expensive and we travel long distances. We purchased the bars for the step through bikes from Amazon to make sure we could properly lock them down. Adding the stabilizer to the hitch, the straps and the bars to the bike rack would have added more security. This is a nice rack that holds our bikes. We secured the cover for the bikes with bungee cords. Works well!
👤I gave up waiting for a Hollywood Rack Carrier after waiting for over half a year. It was highly recommended for use on a 5th Wheel RV, so I tried it out. The order was filled and I received it four days later. Assembly was fairly easy using the instructions, but there were two questions: first, the reflectors on each side of the bottom tire bars when installed face upward, which would not reflect and second, the headlights on the wrong side of the vehicle, which were stuck on the wrong side. Doesn't matter if bike cover goes over them. The only way the Velcro works is after you loop the strap around the tire, you need to twist it to get it to stick on the fabric, again, no problem. The lock to secure your rack to your RV and the two locks to secure bike to rack are all locks with one key. The locking key can be tight at times, but the movements on the holding bar will solve any issues. When depressing the locking lever and moving the securing hook, be aware that pitching can occur. There is a If you want to prevent up/down/side movement from the play in your hitch, buy a hitch tightener on Amazon, it is very inexpensive and could save you a lot of money. The upper bar on men's bikes is not included in our eBikes. It will not work on step through or women's bikes without a bar adapter. If you want to protect your investment in your eBike, strongly suggest a transportation bike cover. I always go one size larger than what I have, 2 bikes, 3 bike cover, I purchased a Team Obsidian three bike transportation cover. All of these items can be found on Amazon. The handlebars on my bike have different configurations and I need to tie a towel around my left one to keep my side mirror and brake lever from scratching. Do your research to find out what is best for you. Hope this helps. The biking season in northern Michigan is almost over. I have taken a few trips with the above items and have not had any problems. You don't need to buy a separate cover if you take the cover off. There is a Update 10/12/21 The photo above might help you answer your question about attaching the small wire pigtail.
Kids' bikes are for everyone. The frames are step-by-step. There are trikes. Recumbents are small. The list continues. If you have it, the Freedom can move it up to 60 lbs per bike. Rackets are easy to use to keep a bike secure. Universal Hitch is compatible with 1 14" and 2" hitches. There is a base at WHEELBASE. The rack is right out of the box. If your bike has a longer wheel base, you will need a bar. The rubber holders can fit any frame.
👤The product is advertised for bikes. I used it 8 times and it fell apart, leaving my ebike in the street. One of the cups the wheel rides in failed and the center post holder failed, leaving one wheel held to the rack and the rest of the bike dragging in the street. The parts are snapped and made out of plastic. My bike is within the weight range they quote and everything was attached as the directions recommend. I wasn't traveling fast or the road was rough. I wasted my money on this and it's outside of the return window. Learn from my experience.
👤It took a lot of research to find a good carrier solution for our beach cruisers. The majority of the racks are either over the wheel or the top bar. This is an excellent choice if you own a beach cruiser or women's bike. I've only used it four times, but I can get the rack bolted onto the trailer hitch and both bikes tied up within 5 minutes. The unit is built to last. I have traveled on highways and bumpy city roads without any concern about the bikes coming loose. When the unit is tilted back, the rear hatch is not a problem.
👤I bought the Saris 4 bike freedom rack back in February of 2020. My kids are old enough to trail ride with me and I needed an upgrade from my old 2 bike rack system that could easily and securely fit four MTBs without frame contact. I have been frustrated with the rack since February, and I couldn't have been more wrong to buy it. I should have paid the extra couple of hundred bucks for a tray hitch rack like 1up from the beginning. There is a I have two bikes, one with plus-size wheels, and a couple of kids, and I spent too much time configuring and reconfiguring the position of the wheel. They would loosen and shift and I would have to do it over and over again. The seats, handlebars, and pedals of the bikes will rub and cause damage to the other bikes if there isn't enough room between them. I would have to tie socks between the points of contact. The plastic components loosen easily after a few journeys. The Allen head bolt that held the cradle on fell out and the cradle fell off. It was in my driveway and not on the highway. The wheel tray straps are difficult to close. You have to get the position right each time. It is extremely frustrating. The rubber slips on the down tube cradle's anti-sway straps will not stay in position and will slip down the straps. They are an interesting idea, but they are an awful execution. The tilt bar wouldn't stay locked in the vertical position and the bikes attached to it would rock a little from side to side because the tip of the tilt pull handle broke. I had to make my own fix with a bolt head and a spot weld because I couldn't find a replacement part. I spent 25 minutes loading my four bikes each time I went for a ride and was constantly adjusting and re-adjusting the parts on the rack to fit the bikes. If you bike more than once in a blue moon, you'll get frustrated. This is not a bike rack made by Saris at a higher price point. I would say that it's garbage. I think they are exploiting the craze in biking. This product is worth half of that. It is for a person who bikes one or two times a month and has the patience of Job or is slightly masochistic. If you bike frequently, I would not recommend buying this product, you'll want to take a hammer to it. It's a good thing.
There is a dual locking chateau feature. The model includes sliding hooks to quickly remove your bike. The mechanism eliminates slack between the receiver and the rack. It's easy to fold up the rack when not in use. It's easy to adjust and install the padded clamps to hold bikes in place and the wide wheel holders to fit most bikes. Most parts are pre-assembled so installation is easy. Only for 2 hitches. Power coated steel tubing will hold bikes up to 60 lbs. The hitch pin and dual locks are included. Enhanced visibility is provided by the rear reflector. The use of an KAC Bike Frame Adapter is required for bikes with low Y-frame. There is a limited lifetime warranty. The quality and design of the Bike Rack products are what they stand for. There are a lot of mishaps covered by their Lifetime Warranty. It is against the law to use an RV or 5th wheel. 👤This is a good bike rack. We love it! It is easy to haul our family bikes. The lever that folds and lowers is easy to use. You can't beat the price of this rack. The anti-wobble mechanism works and I can remove two of the slots if we ever need them. The instructions are easy to follow. I have no complaints. I would recommend this rack to anyone looking for 4 slots.
👤I love this bike rack. The hitch and all the hooks lock down on the bikes, so there is no need for a bike lock. We got four place one. We can haul our friends bikes with us. We can easily remove the attachment that converts this from a four place bike rack to a two place bike rack. It seems very secure. We took a long trip with four bikes and couldn't tell they were behind our car. The hitch has a feature that keeps it in place so it doesn't shake and make a lot of noise. Even if we didn't have bikes on the rack, it made a lot of noise while we were going down the road because it didn't have all the features that this one has. We are so thankful we found this one.
👤I used it for the first time. Bikes are damaged. I have to pay for it to be shipped back.
👤I just had to write a review for this product. This bike rack is exceptional. We just returned from a trip to Lake Placid, NY in the Adirondack mountains. I used the carrier for the entire week after I purchased it. Four mountain bikes with 29 inch tires can easily be accommodated in the rack. There was a lot of space between the bikes. The bike rack was able to drive at speeds up to 90 mph with gusts from a recent tropical storm like nothing else. It was able to handle the up and downs of mountain driving with the winding roads at high speeds. The bikes were locked in place. I was thinking about how awesome ours was compared to those hanging bike racks that just had bikes dangling in the wind while they became a mess with their front tires spinning, as I drove past. It's a good thing. The locking system on the bike rack was awesome. The bikes were secured tightly with the ratchet system. The locking system kept the bikes secure. The mountain bikes were on the rack all week. When we went mountain bike riding, I only took them off. We kept the bikes on the rack when we went hiking the rest of the time. I never felt like my bikes were in danger of being stolen because of this. The system is easy to use. It takes 2 minutes to load or unload your bikes once you know how your bikes will be configured. The bike rack held up well over the course of the week. The company that I read was created by mountain bike riders. They know what they're doing and they're cheap. I was researching similar rack from other companies. They were pricing it out at a range from 800 to 1200. I am very happy with my choice and would recommend it to anyone who needs to carry four bikes.
We are committed to 100% customer satisfaction. If you have a question about their products, please contact them via email and they will be happy to help. All steel construction has a black powder-coat finish. Their tie-down cradles and straps are made to protect your bicycles from damage. The carry arm spacing is designed to fit an array of frame styles. It is more stable and can easily accommodate up to 2 bikes. A bike frame adapter is required to ensure a secure fit. The main mast on the rack can be quickly tilted back from easy lift gate access when the rack is on your vehicle. It works with 2-inch standard hitch receivers. It is easy to assemble and features individual tie-down straps and cradles to secure your bikes. Installation can be completed in minutes with instructions. The Car Hitch Mount Bike Rack is a great choice for transporting and storing bikes. It works on most sedans, minivans, trucks, RV and SUVs. 👤We've purchased a lot of these. My husband is a car freak and returned four bike racks because they either scratched the car or were not sturdy. He loves this one. He bought two more. We have on a Lexus, a van, and a car. It works on all of them. It takes less than ten minutes to set up. It has survived road trips from the Carolinas to Florida. It was strong and made well. The price is good for the quality.
👤I use at least three to four times per week the Yakima and Thule rack, which I have spent over $500 on. I decided to try this rack as a backup because I was so excited. It came a couple weeks ago, and I was so happy with the quality and features, I had two bikes in the back, each worth more than my car, and I was driving a 300-mile round trip with friends for a weekend of riding and racing. There is a This weekend, I put this rack through its paces, and it is now my primary rack. There is no problem with fat tires. There was no problem with the rough fire roads. I-80 at 85 mph, no problem; last-minute rig repairs before departure, no problem. I had to use the dropper to clear the bars. This item is rock solid.
👤I like being able to get out of the trunk after we unloaded bikes. The grease on the pin helpee made it quicker. My friend's rack was more high end than mine, but it was easier to manipulate. Good quality construction.
👤I used this bike rack to transport a few mountain bikes up state for a trip with no major issues but I did add a hitch tightener since it was rocking on the highway. Installation was easy. I initially wasn't sure about it as you use a plastic component to fit the rack into the hitch. I thought it was designed to fit in a 1 1/4" rack. I tested it out and it doesn't fit with the metal part. I'm not worried about the plastic part because it's held up. There is a The included bolts made it easy for the other components to go on. I decided to use a bungee cord around the bike frames to make sure they were stable in case the straps came loose, because one strap came loose while I was transporting a bike on a test trip. After the hitch tightener was in place and the bungees were attached, I took the bikes on the highway. This bike rack is great for holding up a kayak in the back of your vehicle, I used it with a Prius C.

👤I got the rack 4 days late. All parts were present when the box was opened. The first problem was discovered when Began assembling per good written directions. The bike rack is locked with a key. This is a good feature of the carrier and it is over $200. The lock on the bike was not compatible with the bolt provided by the kit and would not turn. I might have had to call the company and get a replacement lock or bolt. I was able to identify the problem andTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkia, I filed down the tip of the bolt so it fit into the lock and the key turned. Most people wouldn't be able to do this. I put the rest of the carrier together. I discovered how heavy the bike was when I lifted it onto the carrier. I strained to get it onto the carrier. If you only plan to use one of the carriers, this would be a problem. Lifting your bike into the inner slot will be difficult if you don't use the outer one. There is a I tried to remove the carrier when not in use. There was another problem encountered. To remove the carrier, I had to lie down under my car and unlatch the hitch lock, use a sockets wrench and stand up and carry the carrier to a place of storage. The thing is heavy. 40 lbs is like a sack of grain. I'm 72 years old. It took me a long time to move it. I have used the carrier twice and it has been great. After removing the outer rack, I was able to maneuver my single Ebike onto the inner rack. The carrier is heavy and difficult to carry, you may have to lie under your car to get it on and off, and if the hitch lock doesn't turn, be prepared to call the company for a working replacement.
👤Everything I was looking for was what I was looking for. You tighten the threaded bolt, the hitch doesn't wobble again. The bolt has a key lock to prevent theft. It doesn't require wheel holders to be mounted, but I can put one bike or two. If you need to open the trunk, the rack folds up or down. The assembly is made of metal and it is very sturdy. I like the straps for the wheels. Also comes with a strap. The price is not the cheapest, but it is a great value. There were a lot of pictures and rack on Amazon. This one was the best.
👤It was great for the price. It's a little heavy when storing but it holds the bikes well. It tilts for easy bike removal. I don't have to tilt my trunk because it clears it.
👤I just bought a bike. It took a lot of searching to find a rack that could support the long wheelbase and 73 pounds and not cost a lot of money. So far, I love this rack. The bike was very secure and I only used it once over 10 miles. It is a challenge to life the big bike on the rack, but that is not the fault of the rack. The Hidden Hitch is tucked under the bumper of my Mazda 5. The hitch hit the bumper and was not long enough to fit in the bolts. I put a notch in the angle brackets to make it fit. The rack was not able to slide in far enough because of a bump inside the receiver. The rack shaft was cut off. It is still stable and solid. I probably won't carry a second bike. The mount is closest to the car. I don't see a way to post pictures. Overall, very happy.
Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers. The locking hitch insert can fit either 1 1/2 or 2 inch receiver hitches. A quick install hitch secures and tightens a rack inside of a receiver hitch. When not in use, the arms fold out of the way and the rack tilts back. Individual tie downs are used to protect bicycles. Accommodates a wide range of bicycle frame designs. Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers.
👤The warranty is not worth anything. I was told by a representative that my F-350 suspension system is too firm and they wouldn't cover it under warranty. There is no place in the description or PDF where they say anything about one-ton trucks voiding the warranty. They claim that it is not covered under the warranty, and that I used it on my camper. If you want to use this on a truck or camper, you need to know that it's not covered in writing.
👤I love it but only after the 3 problems are solved. I can now drive with 2 bicycles mounted without wobbling, with the bicycle's front wheel in place, and I can remove the post and its arms in 10 seconds when not needed. There is a I have used solutions for three issues. The post and carry arms obstruct the license plate when I don't carry bikes. It is illegal in my state to drive with a rack and no bikes around. It is a crime to obstruct the license plate. They also obstruct the backup camera. I replaced the single bolt that connects the elbow to the post with a new hitch, pin and handle. The cost is about $8.40 It takes me 15 seconds to remove the bike, remove the pin from the replaced bolt, and remove the post from the car. There is a Also: If you drive with an obstruction, the police have a reason to stop and lecture you. Why do you carry the bikes? I don't know. I drive most of the time without the bikes. 2. I have a hitch. I used the elbow. There is still some wobbling after the correct bolt is provided. I used the Hitch Tightener recommended by others. I used the provided bolts face up, otherwise they stick down too much in my car.
👤I wanted a bike rack for my scion xb so I bought a 3-bike rack and a 1.25 inch hitch. There is an issue with the 1.25 inch hitch after installing the rack. It seems very secure. I did some research and found a cheap solution - buy a U bar. The whole package was completed by this.
👤I left the first Allen 3 bike tow hitch carrier at an RV park by accident, but this is the second one I have. I had the cheaper version for a long time and it worked well. I thought I would upgrade to the nicer version of my old one because of the rubber stretch straps instead of the nylon ones that were on my cheaper version. The Allen one is cheaper than most. The folding mechanisms in this one are easier than the ones in the other one and the holding cups are nicer. There is a A lot of people complain about how bad the bike rack is, but that is not the case. It is easy to fix, you can either do it in one of two ways. Most people who use a tow hitch bike carrier have a truck like mine. The bike carrier hole is smaller in your truck than it is in my truck because the pin hole is not as deep. The bad wobble was created by the tow hitch. The anti-wobble pin is the wrong size for most, so don't mess with it. You can get a 5/8" drill bit for drilling through metal at Home Depot. The bike carrier has a hole in it. If you want to make sure someone doesn't steal your bike and rack, you can get a 5/8" locking pin at Home Depot. The wobble will be taken out by this. There are a couple of good Hitch Tighteners on Amazon that are less than $20 if you want to purchase a Hitch Tightener. I use the Hitch Tightener for long trips, but for short trips I use a simple fix. Problem solved.
It installs in seconds. The insert fits either 1 1/2 or 2 inch receiver hitches.
👤I had a bike rack that failed on my first drive. I did not go over 60 mph on one of the bent down bars. They were not helpful when I contacted them. The won't help resolve the issue. They won't sell me replacement parts. They said it was a liability. Allen Sports customer service issues are similar to what other reviewers have said about them. Stay away from the bike rack. Adult bikes should not break a bike rack. I need your help to resolve this issue and turn this bad experience around. I would be happy to update this review.
👤I thought I should write a review for the Allen bike rack that we purchased 3 years ago. It's aging well and handling the constant sun exposure very well, so look at my pictures to see how well it's doing. We leave the bike rack on all year long. The red handle has finally succumbed to the sun and a piece broke off recently, but it hasn't affected the function of the item. We ride our bikes three times a week. The hatch door of the SUV is used a lot for loading groceries, gear, etc. During the snow season, we use the bike rack with the ski/board rack. Everything is holding up well. I like the simplicity of the bike rack. I like that it doesn't have seat-tube stabilizers, they always got in the way when I took my bikes off and on with previous racks. If you want to keep your bikes out of the air during the car's braking and acceleration, you can leave a bungee cord in the vehicle and use it to put the bikes on the rack. It's easy. The top swing arm has a little play on the down position so you can hear it clanking when you accelerate from a stop light. There is a This is an easy 5 star rating from me. Feel free to ask any questions you have.
👤I would like to give this a 5 star rating. But... The bike rack is of the highest quality. We can easily and securely haul two bikes. The lock broke when we locked the mount into place. The knob will not loosen or tighten. It's been stuck on the back of my SUV for a long time. Allen Sports has reached out to us. Allen Sports will return our calls. We haven't received any call backs. If you pay the extra money, you can get a Thule brand. I think they have better quality and customer service. I would have liked to have gotten a Thule.
👤If it weren't for the locking version, this would be a 5 star review. If you only need to remove one bolt to lock the hitch, you can take the bikes. You will still have the hitch receiver. The rest will be gone. I used the safety chain slots on the hitch after buying a chain and lock. You can run a chain through the bike.

👤We needed a bike rack to get into mountain biking. The features that I have not seen before make this rack convenient to use. There is a Most of the metal was very thick and heavy duty. Sturdy and strong. The free hitch stabilizer means very little wiggle. When not in use, folds compactly. The tailgate can be adjusted to open without bikes. There is a There are rubber latches for attaching bikes. A very good deal. There is a The rubber is a bit stiff at first, but becomes easier to work with after a few uses.
👤Assembly was easy. The product is well made. We took four bikes on a trip and drove over 600 miles. The bikes weigh 95 lbs. This is rated at 140. There is a ThePivot function to utilize tailgate is nice and works as designed, the straps are easy to use, and it came with an extra replacement strap. The arms seemed to be too short. The brackets for the last bike were very close to the end of the tubes, meaning bikes were crowded on each other. If you care about the finish of your bikes, you should probably use tape or something similar to protect them from rubbing. The loop for the pivot pin retaining wire came loose after a few uses. See the photo. This was being used in a normal way. This shows a rush in the manufacturing process. It's easy to crimp this. I am confident I can fix it with a pair of pliers in about 10 seconds, but it was a small annoyance after so little use. It doesn't make the product non-functional as a bike rack. Attaching the bike rack to the hitch receiver requires a nut and bolt. There was not enough room for the bolt head to be tightened. I don't think most people will install a bike rack to their hitch, so a hitch pin is more appropriate and should be supplied. I bought a locking hitch pin. It's harder for someone to remove the rack. I was always aware of it when we went over speed bumps and rough roads with this type of rack. It was difficult to tell if there was flex in the rack or if it was just moving with the vehicle. I checked the welds when we got home. There is a This is a good product.
👤The entire top section bent downward when I traveled 65 miles. After several weeks, the company sent me a new top section. I took a 23 mile trip and the top broke, the rubber straps broke at 65 miles an hour, and the green wheels were smashed all over the interstate. If you don't have money to spend, don't buy this company. If you have to, throw the bills out the window so the people following you don't kill the family. I will never buy anything from this brand again. I don't want a free replacement, I threw it in the scrap metal pile. Trash is dangerous. The company contacted me and gave me a full refund after reading my review. The strings were attached to the bottom line. They sent me something and I copy and pasted it. There is a Jody, I'm here. Thanks for your reply, please check it in your account, I have full refunds for you. Can you help me revise your review? This is important for our store and I need your help. We will keep improving the product quality. I am so sorry for the situation again. This was next after the revised review. There is a Jody, I'm here. Sorry to bother you. Is it possible to change the review star to 4 or 5 stars? This is very important for our store and I would like to not talk about the refund or revise the review content. There is a I need your help. Thanks in advance. They need to pay for my son's bike. Guess what no more responses from them will be. You are the judge.
