Handling more flexible, light weight, much easier to force when climbing is convenient. The diameter of the tube is 28.6mm (1-1/8"), the handlebar is 31.8mm (1-1/4"). It is adjusted. Light weight, hollow design. The four bolt bar is in position. Simply connect the original fork stem to the new one. A universal short handle bar stem is suitable for most bikes.
👤I have an issue with my own and I am subtracting one star. I was impressed with the quality of the unit. I tightened the locking screw after adjusting to the desired angle and noticed there was still movement at the joint. I tried to tighten the screw but it wouldn't tighten and the joint was still loose. When the screw is tightened, the joints have teeth that mesh, but in my case they were not fully meshing. I noticed the problem after removing the screw completely. When you loosen the screw, the spring inside pushes the joint ends apart. The spring in mine was too long and was being fully compressed when the screw was tightened. I used a pair of diagonal cutters to cut off the spring length. The joint is locked solid with no movement even with only moderate tightening of the screw. I noticed that people who had this issue broke the unit or stripped the screw trying to tighten the joint not realizing it was the spring inside the joint causing the problem. I hope this will help other people. There is a The bike is much more comfortable to ride after this was installed on my bike, and I like it because I can adjust the handlebars up to a better position.
👤I am a tall person, as stated in my review. I bought a new bicycle to replace a bicycle that was 10 years old. The seat of the bicycle will be extended significantly if I need a XXL bicycle. I was putting a lot of weight on my hands because the handlebars were low. My hands became numb after a few miles. I reversed the bicycle stem to point upward because the store installed it for aggressive riding. This made a difference. Most of the bicycle stems I looked for were fixed. When I saw that it had positive teeth engagement, I found this one. I decided to try it. I tried a 30 degree adjustment and ended up at the 60 degree adjustment. I like this better than an extension because it doesn't increase the moment and stresses in the bicycle stem. I can now ride 20 miles with no hands going numb.
👤I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Wake MTB varaiable stem. I was a little worried about the quality for the price. I'm happy to report that these feel just as good as any big name brand stem. The variable geometry will be useful on my hybrid road conversion project. I was worried if one could get the pivot bolt tight enough to keep the stem from moving. When you hit something. This was a non-issue. The inner part of the linkage is called a rosette surface. A bunch of "V's". It doesn't budge once it's tightened down. * 5 Stars: Works exactly as advertised, fit/finish are what you'd expect when purchasing this type of product, and it is a good value, 4 Stars: Works exactly as advertised, fit/finish are what you'd expect when purchasing this type of product, and it is I'd change a few things, 2 Stars: Barely works but can be made useful if you try, and 1 Star: Useless, does not perform it's intended function, and is generally a waste of money.
There are 4 sizes of bike handlebar spacers in this package. Each size provides a combination to adjust the height of the handlebars to fit your riding style. Bicycle headset spacers threadless are made of black anodized aluminum alloy material with smooth surface and exquisite workmanship, eco-friendly, sturdy and durable to use. Stem spacers road bike inner diameter is 28.6mm, 1-1/8" headset set, compatible with 28.6mm front stem fork of mountain bike, road bike etc. There is a feature. The aluminum headset spacer is more sturdy and resistant to damage than carbon fiber headset spacers, and it's 888-282-0465. If you go for a heavy duty off road ride, you should use aluminum spacers other than carbon, due to automatic cutting, smooth edge, and fit most of the road bicycles.
👤The stems on the two bikes I changed had 3 x 10mm spacers on them. I didn't know how I would position the spacers, and I didn't know the exact measurement of the bike's bar height. The kit was perfect. I used this product above the stem to place 20mm below and 7mm above. The other placee is 20mm + 4mm. These are an excellent value, and work exactly as I had homes. If I make changes again to this bike or others, I am set.
👤These work well, but they aren't as thick as the factory spacers on my or my son's bikes. It's a good value for the price and the selection of spacers. It's very easy to get the correct rise to allow for the 3mm gap between the steerer tube and the cap.
👤The image in the listing does not match what is in the description. There are three different types of spacers in the photo. The spacers they ship are 2, 3, and 10mm. When they arrive, you will be disappointed if you go off the photo.
👤The new handle bar was what I needed. I didn't think about needing spacers when I ordered the bike stem. I ordered this set and it arrived very quickly. It was nice to have different types of spacers.
👤These seem to work well and match the other ones on my Trek. I have had one of the spacers on my bike for a month and so far no issues. Will keep you updated if something changes.
👤The spacers were smooth with no burs and consistent sizes. There are 12 different sizes of the bag. You could buy a couple at the store. These are nice to have around.
👤There are 12 pieces for the price of 2. Good quality. I like aluminum more than carbon fiber. These mountain bikes will not fail because I can be hard on them. The handle bar height can be a problem if you don't have a good selection of sizes. For the next project, spare.
👤It worked out as planned. Good quality. There were no problems. Take accurate measurements.
👤This is a good set. The set has enough pieces to adjust more than one bike. They are lightweight and durable. The price was good and the shipping was fast, which was a plus.
👤Needed to install a new bike stem. There are lots of different sizes of Qurans.
👤There were different sizes of spacers. Excellent quality. They do what they're supposed to do. The product was good and the seller did a good job with it.
👤Good quality work.
The original setup in the shoulders, arms, and back had to be corrected to achieve a more comfortable riding position. The stem and riser handlebar allow you to sit upright on the bike, which is better for your back. Only fit for Handlebar diameter 31.8mm, front fork stem diameter 28.6mm, and Length: 120mm. The only handlebars that this fit for are 31.8mm. Do not fit bars larger than 25.4mm. Measure the diameter of your bandlebards before you buy them. The angle is 0 60. The height extension is 90mm. The weight is made of high-strength, high-quality aluminum. Before you buy it, please confirm your handlebar is 31.8mm. It's easy to connect up the original fork stem. The four bolt bar is in position.
👤My seat was making me uncomfortable. I was able to tease out that my handlebars made me lean forward, because they were set that way. I was forced to sit on my seat because of that leaning forward. There was no way to adjust the handlebars on my Giant Commuter bike. I found this post after a lot of research. I used a simple procedure to change out the old handlebar post for this one, and it is perfect for me now. A new bike is much more expensive. It works very well. I'm no longer leaning on the handlebars. That was very painful. The only concern with any part that is variable, changeable and handles the total steering of a bike, plus handles your full weight against it, is to make sure the screws are tight. The bar will not have any issues if they are tight. It would be disastrous if the bar moved on you because of regular checks. This item is a must have for me. When ordering, there are choices in length. Take the time to analyze what you need to fix your issue. This was a relief for me. My biking world has changed completely. I give it 5 stars.
👤It was installed on a Cannondale aluminumCAAD8. I ride 6,000 miles a year, but use multiple bikes. There is a The only drawbacks to this item are that it is heavier than many road bike stems, it is a little less aerodynamic, and it looks a bit clunkier. There is a If you can get past those things, you will like the way it is made and reliable, and you can adjust your riding position for comfort. That is what makes it worth it. There is a I am unwilling to test a stem that is so lightweight I can go down a roller at 35 mph. I need to know that my bike will hold up even if I hit something. I'm probably buying one for my wife. She says she needs to reach a little further for her reach.
👤I was uncomfortable on my bike because I had to lean forward too much. I found this and it made me feel better about how I ride. I wish I had found this years ago.
👤I bought this to make my bike more stable. The stem is skinnier than the Bontrager that came on my Trek Roscoe 7 and that is the only issue with the install. The fork wiggled when riding and braking. I dropped in to my bike shop and bought a set that allowed me to take over. The bike shop said that fish should be extended beyond the top tube to have something to press on. The answer was not to crank down on the top cap bolt. I did break one of the bolts, but it may have been a torgue wrench user error. It was easy to drill the bolt and get it to back out. I set it at 60 degrees so that I can play with it to find the best setting.
It's suitable for most road bike, mountain bike, track bike, and BMX. The front fork stem diameter is 28.6mm and the handlebar diameter is 31.8mm. Before you buy it, please confirm the diameter of your handlebars. It is possible to change it. 70mm is the maximum height extension. 2 inches. The gasket can be adjusted to fit your height. 3 10mm includes 4 Gaskets. Approx. 1 5mm. There is a 3/16 inch and a 115mm screw. 4 inches It's suitable for most bikes with threadless headsets. Mountain Bike, Road Bike, and so on.
👤I have a bicycle that is attached to a smart-trainer. I had to raise my bars for a while because of my hip injury. This extension is great for that purpose. Good luck finding a pack of headset spacers for the price of this extension. It comes with a bunch of things. This is a good value for a trainer. There is a This is a flimsy piece of junk. The headset's top cap bolt is not heat-treated. The threading is not done well. You need to be careful when applying Torque because the bolts are fine metric threads. The bolts were not oiled. I wouldn't use this on a bicycle that rolled out of my driveway. Not a good item.
👤It works as expected. It comes with a sufficient amount of spacers and uses 4mm pinch bolts. I had to use a mallet to get the stem on. I think the coating they used is too thick, so I had to use elbow grease to get my stem on and off. I did not have to hit it very hard with the mallet. A rubber mallet is a must for the installation. There is a I would tighten the stem cap bolt after you take your first ride. I've only ridden about 20 miles with the extender on, but so far it's been great. It was the best $6 ever spent.
👤To raise the handlebars on my 20 inch redline mx20 bike, I used a good fit. I have my seat up high because I am taller. I was leaning forward when peddling. The center bolt was bent. I had to use the original plastic cap instead of the one from the kit. Got it to tighten up after that.
👤I put a stem riser on my bike. It fits. It makes riding much more comfortable as I am in a more upright position. It feels the same as before. I think it will hold up.
👤The product installation was easy and what it was designed to do was done.
👤A simple yet effective addition increases comfort.
👤The riser makes my bike rides more enjoyable. I don't have to hunch over the handlebars anymore. Very pleased!
👤It's easy to enstall and it looks great. Gave me a better riding position.
The handlebars have a diameter of 25.4mm. Please confirm your bike's diameter before you place your order. The item isn't suitable for your bike. The bike stem is sturdy, well designed and easily adjusted, which is preferable to removing the handlebar stem and exchanging it for one with a different angle. The installation is easy because the specifications are accurate. There is a degree of angle indicator on the adjacent parts. You can see where the handle bar is positioned with the opening on the stem. This is a nice riser. The thickness of your handlebars may affect the installation of a shim. If the threads loosen up, be sure to use glue on them. The original setup in the shoulders, arms, and back had to be corrected to achieve a more comfortable riding position. The stem and riser handlebar allow you to sit upright on the bike, which is better for your back.
👤Went with this stem because of the reviews on the internet. It was on time and there was no damage. The stem is very strong. It looks like a piece of equipment from an original equipment manufacturer. I threw away the instructions and proceeded to install the stem backwards, since there is a degree of angle indicator on the adjacent parts. Loctite was used on all the parts. It has about 400 miles on it and everything is holding up. My Cannondale Quick 1 hybrid was raised to the perfect height. As I raised the bar, I had to change my attachment points downward. Allen head bolts are used so no phillips heads are used here. One suggestion would be to put a small line in the center of your handle bar so you can keep it centered as you install. You can see where the handle bar is positioned with the opening on the stem.
👤This was installed very quickly with a 4mm and 5mm wrench. You can see from my photos that it raised my handlebars up and pulled them closer to me, about an inch in each direction. My old stem was too long and too low for my comfort, and it set my drop handlebars too long and too low. Riding put a lot of pressure on my wrists and heels and it was also causing pain in my shoulders when I rode. The solution to that problem! The piece is strong. It's very stable because of good quality and construction, and because the screws are tightened down properly. I don't think it would detach from the bike. If you need to raise your handlebars, it's highly recommended.
👤I ordered it for use on my bike. After receiving this, I learned that the stems on mountain bikes shouldn't be adjusted. Put it on my wife's bike. The part looks good. It is easy to install. I would suggest that those who don't carry pocket wrenches do so when they have this installed. There is a chance that a bolt can loosen. Wouldn't want that to happen on the road. I have nothing but good things to say about this part and most bikes. I think mountain bikes are not a good addition due to the risks and rough trail impacts.
👤If you've never worked on a bike stem before, you should look at the stem spacers advertised in Amazon's "you may also want..." section. If you find that the riser extender's base isn't as tall as the one you're replacing, you'll need some 1-1/8" aluminum spacers to tighten your stem back up. Now is the time to order 'em. I'm waiting for Amazon shipment #2 to arrive. I have not used the riser extender, but it feels solid. If I don't experience anything else than joy, I will update this review.
👤I like to be as aerodynamic as possible on my main road bike, but my geometry is different on my commuter bike, so I need to change. It made a world of difference when this was added. A heavy backpack makes the ride much more comfortable. I can adjust and change the angle. Make sure you have enough play in your cables for the change, or you may need to rerun some cables. I had to reduce how high I increased the angle, but it still made a big difference. I'll just run it at the current angle until the next time I need to change the cables. The part is so good that you don't need to get one with another angle.
A universal short handle bar stem is suitable for most bikes. The maximum height extension is 70mm. There are 4 spacers, 1 x 10mm and 3 x 5mm. The height can be increased up to 70mm. Simply connect the original front fork stem to the new one. Light weight. It is made of high-strength T6 aluminum alloy. Handling more flexible, light weight, easier to force is comfortable. It's suitable for 1-1/8" 28.6mm Fork Mountain Bike, Road bike, Track bike, Folding bike, MTB BMX...
👤The stem riser extender worked well. Before this extender, I could have raised my seat to the proper height for my legs, or I could have put my seat too low for my legs, with good upper body posture. The performance of the extender is good. The bolts are smaller than the original neck bolts. I gave the extender 5 stars because they are holding. I will look for an extension with beefier bolts if they fail. Installation took longer than expected, but not because of the product. The nut in my stem was a little crooked, but it wasn't noticeable on the short bolt. I wonder if those people had a crooked stem nut assembly like me, because I read a number of reviews that the long bolt was bent. The graphic I attached shows what I found. I lightly tapped the head of the bolt with my finger to make sure the stem nut was straight. The stem bolt on my bike is held in place by 2 star shaped pieces of steel. It was not very precise, but easily straightened. The long bolt worked perfectly when the nut was straightened.
👤The stock steer tube on the 2012 Trek 3500 was too low for the current rider, and the handlebars were too low for the original 2012 Trek 3500. Those in need of an elevated handlebar need a stem extender. There is a The FOMTOR stem extender is an excellent quality aftermarket bike doodad. It has nearly four inches of vertical position. It includes a long titanium bolt to reach the distant star nut, six aluminum spacer rings, and a matching cap. There is a The FOMTOR stem extender was perfect for the existing steer tube. The titanium stem bolt is stout enough to hold the entire headset in place, and appears to resist dynamic loads and stresses under normal use. Black powder coat finish is what the stem extender, cap, and spacer rings are made of. There is a It's annnnnd... I bought the last one on Amazon. I need two more.
👤I used these for my bike. It made a huge difference in my riding position. The height to the bikes handle bars was increased by the spacers. I liked that it was all plain black and not colored. The end was very clean.
👤The bent bolt makes it hard to install with the new cap. The stock cap is not centered because it was not used without the recess. The bolt would be 5 stars if it wasn't bent.
👤It was my fault that I didn't double check the measurements for the bike I am fixing up. I won't be returning it because I am hopeful it will fit on another family member's bike. I was sad it didn't fit on my body, but it looks like it's very high quality. Will update this review if it works for the other bike.
👤The extender tightens down when it connects to my fork tube. I had the right amount of spacers and the extender fit my new stem perfectly. I am happy with my purchase and would purchase again.
Features a sleek and modern look. Fit for front fork stem diameter 28.6mm (1-1/8") and handlebar diameter 31.8mm (1.25''). The weight is 205g. The angle is 45 degree. Simply connect the original fork stem to the new one. The four bolt bar is in position. It's suitable for most road bike, mountain bike, track bike, and BMX. The front fork stem diameter is 28.6mm and the handlebar diameter is 31.8mm. Before you buy it, please confirm the diameter of your handlebars.
👤I needed a stem to make my wife's bike more upright. The size and angle of the handlebars help achieve that goal. It seems strong enough to handle day-to-day use and works great. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and this stem is cheap. Bad things. The stem doesn't fit well. The fork steerer tube has to be tightened a lot more than normal to make it grip the handlebar. The tension on the headset bearings changed when I did this. It took some fiddling to get everything right. You get what you pay for. If you're willing to pay for it, it's an ok product, and if that's what you're looking for, it's your stem. If you want a component that is precise, look elsewhere.
👤The stem raises my handlebars. It is large and heavy, but seems good quality. Other reviewers have used the word "choking" as a description. The connection to the tube is long and I removed a riser for a safe fit. The fomtor uno 35 degree 70mm stem was too short for me. If you want something lighter, you might consider the uno stem in 90mm or 120mm.
👤I have a bad shoulder and my mountain bike is hard to ride. I wanted to raise the handle bar to relieve the stress on the shoulder. That was done by this stem. It was quick and easy to install. It was well made. The handle bars were raised to make my body more upright. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their rides.
👤It does a good job. My handlebars are now at a more comfortable height and distance, which allows me to ride in a more upright position. There is a I was surprised at how heavy it is. It is more heavy than my previous stem. Either it's made of a heavier metal or thicker. A few ounces on my mountain bike isn't a big deal. I wish the cap was open in the middle like other stems are. It would have made it easier to make sure the handlebars are centered. The handlebar cap is solid, which increases the weight and decreases the usefulness, but gives them another place to shamelessly place their huge logo.
👤I wish the front plated didn't block my design. It would be perfect if it were seethrough like the 35 degree version.
👤The stem is a back saver. The perfect solution was to raise my position. The 45 degree rise moves you back onto your saddle more. The stem is very strong and very confident. There is a I would buy this again.
👤I made a mistake and ordered this for my beach cruiser. I needed to make this work with my handlebars because I enjoyed the quality of the stem. I ordered some parts. I fixed my error. Measure the handlebars to make sure you get the correct stem.
👤I needed to get a bit taller. This stem does it with the steep angle, but the portion that connects to the stem is taller than my old one, which lowered the handlebars a bit. It works well, seems sturdy, and no creaking or other noises are heard when installed.
It's suitable for most road bike, mountain bike, track bike, BMX, etc. The handlebar diameter is 25.4mm (1"), the Stereer Tube diameter is 28.6mm (1-1/8"), and the length is 32mm. Simply connect the original fork stem to the new one. The four bolt bar is in position. It is made of high-strength T6 aluminum alloy. A universal short handle bar stem is suitable for most bikes.
👤It hasn't broken off, so that's a great start to the review. I can see how these don't give you much wiggle room when it comes to over tightening them. If you try to feel it out, be careful if you ate spinach before. They use soft metal. It is mounted to a 29er hardtail that is used weekly and it has the ability to secure the handlebars from moving safely. I am gaining a full piece of mind while riding it. Some people said it fell apart worse than Charlie. I'm alive to give this update because it hasn't snapped off yet.
👤I used to do a lot of it. There is a The quality of this is exactly what you would expect. There is an error in the program, one of the machines has some worn items, the work piece wasn't fixtured correctly, or something else happened because there are two nice "flying-V" cuts on both sides of the stem. The end mill grazed the sides in error and it looks hilarious. I'm not going to swap out for something else. It seems to be a solid unit. The 60mm version is as heavy as my old 90mm stem with bolts. Not much has been done to reduce weight. I wouldn't expect it to be very well designed. This is probably not going to break. Unless I huck this gravel bike over a 50 ft gap. There is a The screws are the same quality as other low end screws. I can't complain much. The pockets the heads and washers are supposed to sit in are not made properly. Some of the heads are more proud than others. I'm pretty sure that the clamping forces are good enough, it just looks funny. I wish the threaded holes were tighter, but it works. Is it actually anodizing? I'm afraid to ask at this point. It has a different fit and finish than the high end stuff. There is a It got my handlebars where they needed to be, and it probably won't break, so good, right?
👤I've put these on two of my bikes. It doesn't get any better for the price. It's inexpensive and doesn't stand out, which is a good thing. There is no benefit to higher priced stems. Unless you need to save a couple ounces, don't waste money on a carbon stem and just use one like this. I bought these because it's short. It will make the bike more responsive when turning. There is a If I need another short stem, I will buy them again.
The instructions are given. The wrench should be used in the direction that the front wheel points for installing the pedal. Strong material: forged aluminum alloy material, solid and firm handlebar extender, durable for more safety when used. The stem riser can adjust the gasket to fit your height, which will reduce the pressure of the waist and raise you to your comfortable position. Simply connect up the original bicycle fork stem. Most of the Met bikes have a handlebar riser. Handling more flexible, light weight, much easier to force when climbing, is comfortable, convenient bike fork extender. Most of the Met bikes are compatible with work on mountain or road bikes with thread less Steering tube. The bike fork extender is convenient.
👤The product has a number of design flaws that make it very unsafe. It is unsafe because it doesn't allow it to be tightened enough to keep the fork from rotating. If you have more than 15 pounds of pressure and your bars and front wheel are not aligned, you can turn the bars without the wheel moving. There is a The shape of the bolt threads in the threaded end is the worst flaw. It means that one side has more threads to hold the bolt than the other. If it was better material than a cheaper one, it would be sufficient when tightened. It is shaped that way and that makes it hard to use a stop nut behind the integrated threads. The bolt was bent by the use of an angle washer and stop nut. There is a This is the product for broken bones.
👤I reviewed many of the STEM Extenders because the handle bars were too low and I wanted to ride my mountain bike in a more natural position. The instructions were clear. The tools were provided. Good construction. I enjoy riding my bike and feel accomplished. Best to everyone.
👤After taking off a few years, we are getting back into biking. The husband put a lot of money into his ebike. I wanted to keep my Diamondback. I found my hands and neck were not comfortable at the angles that have been an issue before. The problem was solved by this extender. It looks great on my black bike with red accents, and it gives me a solid gripping area when I load it onto the rack. It's easy to install. Very pleased!
👤The design of the stem extension is solid. The product is pretty nice and the anodizing process makes it feel high quality, even though I was skeptical at first. Highly recommended.
👤You pop this on top of the steerer. Just remove 3 bolts. Next, screw them back in place. You can't stop smiling when you ride a bike that fits all of a sudden. Wake up dude, wake up now! Welcome back to reality! Good morning America! It was a dream. You can only turn the steering wheel 8 degrees to the right and 8 degrees to the left in real life. Why amigo? The steering wheel range of motion is limited by the stretched brake cables. If you already have long cables and housings, you are one lucky guy. Don't forget to contact me if you win a lot, I will get 10% of your winnings. Remember, it was my idea?
👤There was a gap between the bike steering stem and the extender after it was installed. The inside dimensions of the extender do not allow it to seat properly. The problem could be solved by changing the inside dimensions of the extender to match the dimensions of the bike stem, or by using a ring to close the gap between the extender and the handlebars.
👤Allen stripped the threads when they were tightened.
It's easy to connect up the original fork stem. The four bolt bar is in position. The front fork stem diameter is not suitable, the Handlebar diameter is not suitable, and the length is not right. The angle is 35 degree. Light and durable. The weight is 106g. It is made of high-strength T6 aluminum alloy. It's suitable for most road bike, mountain bike, track bike, BMX, etc. The stem is only suitable for 25.4mm handlebars.
👤I got this stem to give me some support on my hybrid bike. I had a 7 degree stem and it wasn't working. The frame size was perfect, but I kept sliding forward on my seat and it was killing me. I adjusted my seat. I needed to change the distance I was leaning forward. I got a stem with a 55 degree angle which made a big difference by bringing the handlebars up and closer to me. I wasn't sliding forward on my seat, and I was more comfortable. The new setup didn't change how the gears or brakes work, which was nice because I have read that if you change the cables frequently, they can come loose. It was a great purchase and worth every penny. Please mark helpful if this review helped you make a decision.
👤The cheapest change for better bike fit is moving the handlebars. Imagine moving the bars so they are right where they want to be. What change in the stem riser will make that happen, or will you have to wait? There is a The note to buyer is important. The rise connects to the handlebars in two different ways. You should get the one that fits your handlebars. There are different lengths and angles on the stem riser. You are usually going up because you can get it down, and you are getting older and less flexible, not younger and more acrobatic. Wide handlebars further in front give you more stability, and narrower handlebars further back give you more responsiveness. You want your hands to be where they need to be to extend your rides and manage your bike. Your bike frame and body geometry are hard to change. Pick or embrace your real bike frame, then modify it with handlebars, risers, and seat posts to get the best fit. The cheapest are the risers.
👤I needed to reduce the reach on my gravel bike and wanted to try this size stem with a cheaper option before committing to a $50-100 stem. The fit and finish is not as good as the brand name stuff, but it looks good once installed. It seems sturdy enough for a mountain bike. I rode a rough single track on a gravel bike and sent a few drops, but it didn't budge. I don't see why I should upgrade to something more expensive. The bolts should be black to match the rest of the cockpit. I was able to use black bolts from a spare stem.
👤I wanted to raise my handlebars a little bit to make it easier for me to use my hands. It didn't resolve the hand pain completely, but it's an inexpensive way to get a little extra height without having to buy new handlebars.
👤This replacement part appeared to be well made and fit the requirements, but only time will tell. The bike I was converting to a two piece system was a vintage custom steel bike. My local shop refitted me and gave me some new numbers to set up my bike for more riding comfort after I had an surgery to repair my Achilles. My hope is that this product will add more years to my cycling health. I need to go on a few test rides and check the overall durability of the product, but out of the box and now on the bike, all appears to be in good order at a reasonable price.
It's suitable for most road bike, mountain bike, track bike, BMX, etc. The stem is only suitable for 25.4mm handlebars. It is adjusted. The product equip with 5 gaskets can increase the height up to 100mm, it can adjust the gasket to fit your need freely, reducing the pressure of waist effectively. The bike handlebar riser is made of aluminum and has a polished finish. It's widely comparable. Don't worry about buying a bike accessory that isn't compatible with your bike. Their bike fork stem extension is suitable for most bikes. Easy installation. You can connect the original front fork stem extender. Light weight and flexibility make it easier to force when climbing. It is hard to loose the handlebar extender. Work on mountain bikes, road bikes, and BMX.
👤The handlebars of my bike were lower than my bike seat. If I rode the bike as a road bike, I would have hybrid tires for off-road biking. The Zukka extender was easy to install, using up all 5 included rings and the 3 that came with my bike. All fit perfectly. Make sure you use an Allen key to tighten things up. The perfect ride resulted in no back pain from straining my arms and upper body.
👤I can sit upright on my bike. Solid construction. The pinch bolts of the riser and stem need to be snug to be able to move. Align everything and hold while you tighten the top bolt to eliminate any play in the headset bearings. The inside of the riser has bottomed out on the top of the steering tube, so if you find it is taking excessive Torque to eliminate this play, it's because the inside of the riser has bottomed out on the top of the steering tube. Put a short spacer under the riser.
👤I'm a big guy with 220 lbs and found myself hunched over when riding. The stem extender brought my handle bars up so I can ride in a better position and it looks great.
👤The expectations were met. Good length. If you don't use the full length, the excess will stick up from the handlebars, which is a possible safety issue. First you have to figure out what riser length you need, then you have to buy it.
👤It was a noticeable difference on the first day. I had groin, back, and next pain after riding so far forward. A guy with a bike. I also want to give up my bike. Win! It's easy to install. Looks great! I'm hoping this less than$15 item will make me happy after biking days. The game is changing now! Simple concept is great.
👤I was able to ride my new mountain bike with less pressure on my hands and wrists, because the handlebars were raised with this extender. LA gave a tip on excessive play in the front fork from the riser extender bottoming out on the top of the steering tube after its initial installation. LA's tip was to place a second spacer on the steering tube below the riser extender to raise it slightly and then tighten it down to eliminate the play in the front fork.
👤The bike handle was made higher by this extender. I'm happy my husband found it. We ordered one for our daughter's bike as well. It was easy to install. It's much more comfortable to ride a bike now. You'll be fine ordering this extender.
👤Lifted my handlebars. I'm really pleased with this purchase because I was sitting for a long time. Sturdy metal, and fit my bike well. The bikes brand is Specialized.
