Storage hooks give a resting position for your bikes. If you want to keep your bike out of the entryway, you can hang it on the wall and leave room in your garage. The 8 inch hooks with 4 inch wide opening are much more heavy duty than other 5” or 6” smaller hooks, and are unique extra large size in the market. 1/2 inch thick all steel construction provides 120lb maximum capacity per hook, which is the strongest in the market compared to 70lb capacity from other hooks. The threaded screw end allows you to easily tighten the hooks into the wall stud or ceiling joist after drilling the pilot hole. Non-marring and non-sLIP is a soft vinyl coating that protects the surfaces. It's ideal for ceiling hanging or wall mounting of bicycles, ladders, lights, lamps, recreational equipment, lawn tools, cords and hoses in your home, basement, garage or workshop. 👤Excellent for hanging bikes. I like it. I made two orders of 8 inches bicycle Hooks and 12 bikes fit in a 10 feet wall. This is a good one to recommend. It's a lot of work.
👤I bought those black ones from other sellers. It is too small and soft. It bends! There is a This one is perfect. 3 pairs for 3 bikes. Less stuff in the garage.
👤You could hang a VW up. They are a lot heavier than I thought. More than I needed. I'm fine with that as well. Better than not.
👤I used a drill bit for the pilot holes. The hooks were screwed into the holes I drilled. I have a lot of lawn equipment hanging from them and they are sturdy. Those will be holding up for a long time.
👤I need these heavy duty hooks. The size is perfect and the price is unbeatable.
👤I bought other ones and they are not as strong as these.
👤Excellent product and pretty much what was advertised. The description says "4 inch wide opening", which is not true. The attached picture shows it is closer to 3 1/2. There is a I don't believe for a second that this will support 120 lbs, but it will hang from the ceiling in a 2x4 position. I was able to get my gauge up to 95 lbs by using a top out of 100 lbs. I hung from it, so it supported my body weight. I only did that for 5 seconds and I didn't feel anything bend. I could feel the end of the hook starting to bend when I put my body weight towards it. The dimensions are accurate for most of the time. The widest part of the opening is closer to 3 1/2 than the 4 inch wide opening is implied. If you bend it to have a wider opening, that could also reduce the structural integrity, making it so it wouldn't hold the same amount of weight without bending. The description says that the steel is 1/2. There is a soft matt vinyl coating on the 1/2. The steel is only 1/3. It's still a strong picture, and you'll probably be interested in the dimensions. The larger drill is better for the pilot. It will take more elbow grease to get it in there, but it will be much more secure in the 2x4 stud. You have to find a stud to put this in.
There is a service for Pompeii customers. The package includes a rafter hook. They will be happy to make an exchange or refund if the items are missing or the package is damaged. They offer a free return policy and money back guarantee. The bike storage hoist is ideal for keeping your bicycle suspended overhead for convenient out of the way garage storage. The hoist uses a pulley system with a safety locking mechanism that makes it easy to lift and store equipment up to 100 pounds. The rubber coated bike hooks are designed to protect your bike from scratches. The pulley system can be used on ceilings up to 12 feet. If you want to mount the bicycle hanger on a 2 X 4 you can screw it to the joist or mount it right to the joist. Steel, Polypropylene, and rubber cover on hooks are the materials of the product. The weight capacity is 100 pounds. Includes a bike hoist. The color was bright green and black.
👤I am an engineer. This product is unsafe in its present form. It can be made safe with a simple modification. The hooks provided by the factory will not stay in position if the bike goes up unevenly. The hooks are provided by the factory. Remove the bolts from the pulleys and throw them away. The lock nut is attached to a threaded eye-bolt, which is a few bucks at a hardware store. The rope on the pulley's interior needs to be cleared by the eye bolt stem. Then purchase two more on Amazon. The easy hangs have a carabeaner that will snap into the replaced eye-bolts, and these will firmly strap to your bikes handlebars. If the pulleys are screwed into a ceiling joyce, your bike lift will not fall down and you will be safe. If the kit is changed to include the easy hang option, I would give it 4-5 starts. Unless you modify the kit for safety, you should not buy this. I am surprised these have not been recalled by the consumers product safety commission.
👤This is a good value for money. We have two electric bicycles that are taking up a lot of space in my shop. I bought the first package to see how it would work out. The package had a "hook" arrangement that I didn't like. I changed over to an eye bolt after taking the advice of an earlier reviewer. The E bike is attached with a 1 inch web and cam buckle strap. There is no danger of anything falling off the bike. I've put a few pictures here to show how I rigged it up. It works so. I bought a second one for the E bike. There is enough rope to hang off the shop ceiling. The auto lock mechanism works well.
👤Due to the open garage rafters, I had to modify the installation by adding 2x4's and using lag bolts to hold the rail onto the 2x4's. I threw the "hooks" into the trash. I replaced the hooks with a brand called EasyHang. These are worth every penny and are $6 on Amazon. When you pull your bike up to the ceiling, it's impossible for it to pull straight every time, sometimes the front end goes up first, sometimes the back end goes down, and finally leveling out at the ceiling. The hooks on the seat may fall. Do you not believe me? It's up to you. The idea of using hooks was poor design. The straps are made of velcro.
Includes a pulley system, mounting system and rope. The bike lift is designed to ceiling mounted for bike storage in garage or other place when it's not used, which can save a lot of space for your garage. The USAGE is VARIOUS USAGE- The bike lift hanging rack can be used for a variety of things, from kid's cycle to mountain bicycle, kayaks, extension ladders, and other gears. HEAVY DUTY Heavy duty iron and nylon ropes are used for the ceiling bike hoist. The bike pulley hanging system can lift up a mountain bike or road bike up to 100 lbs. It's easy to install. The bike hoist is easy to install and ceiling mount. It is easy to hang your bicycle/ladder from the ground with 3 pulley hooks and 45 ft rope. Their hooks are coated and welded to protect your bikes from scratches. It's time to say goodbye to your worries about bike damage or potential collapses. 👤Great product. The hoist wheels are wide so they prevent the rope from going into the crack. I had to contact the customer service because my rope was a little shaky. They only offered a $10 Amazon credit for me to purchase my own rope, instead of sending me a replacement rope. The rope I got was larger than the bike hoist I had. I made it work. I like the fact that the rope I bought on my own is a quarter-in size, it makes it easier to lift the bike to the ceiling. The other type of bike hoist that I used to have was of a lesser quality, but I know this is a great product. There is a I highly recommend that you mount this onto a 2x4 and then mount the 2x4 to the ceiling to make it more sturdy. I will post pictures soon.
👤If you wanted a better bike hoisting system, you would have to spend a lot of time figuring out what to buy and how to assemble it at a hardware store. The packaging indicates a lesser weight capacity than the 100 lbs listed in the listing. The weight capacity in my packaging is 100 lbs. I am confident that it is more than 100 lbs. This hardware could support it. The installation method is the actual limiting factor on weight capacity. The box has screws that are normally used for installing screws in sheetrock. Anyone who uses those to attach a sheetrock ceiling will have a problem. The result will be weaker if the hardware is screwed directly into the wood after a proper size hole has been pre-drilled. There are suggestions for mounting in other reviews. The instructions don't provide guidance on how to mount it. The installation instructions don't mention the correct route of the rope. There is a hole in the cam lock that should be threaded. It would be difficult to upsize the rope because the hole is barely large. The sheaves and pulley cheeks have gaps. The provided rope can jump out of the sheave grooves if there is a gap. The sheaves are designed so that squeezing the cheeks to reduce the gap results in a lack of lubrication at the axle. The hole in the cam lock does not allow a substitution of a larger rope. It is for this reason that I am giving 4 stars rather than 5, because a person could be misled by the plastic sheetrock anchors and fail to attach to solid wood. The hooks to hang the bike do not have enough curve to hold securely and you probably will need to bend to get a good result. I use a cord under the frame section to secure the hooks to the seat because it doesn't have a structure for them to attach to. There is a chance of conflict with hooks if you have a speedometer or similar device mounted on handle bars. The cleat that is provided to tie off the rope when the bike is lifted is pretty good, but the cam lock is enough to tie off the rope. If you are a belt and suspenders person, you might want to upgrade the cleat. The cleat can be used to get excess rope out of the way. There is a I would buy another one if I had a second bike because this is a good solution at a good price.
Lifetime warranty is provided by them and they stand behind their product. If you don't like it, just return and they will give you a full refund. The finish rails and sleeves hooks are coated with a powder. Bike storage solutions are custom. A rail interlock design. You can display or hang your bike with the help of the rails and hooks. Installation of paneled wall sheeting must be located to solid structures. All installation hardware is included. 👤I think spacing each section to separate the joists worked well so far, but I think having the entire 6 bikes would have been too tight. I was able to hang at different heights to make it easier for the kids to hang their bikes. The install was easy with 4 screws. I didn't need to use the mollys that came with it because I don't have drywall hung.
👤Can you hang 6 bikes? The rack is mounted side-by-side and flush together, not as pictured on the product page. It's important to center each rack across the wall studs, or mount it on wood panels that are anchored into the wall studs. Two bikes can fit on each section, but there needs to be spacing between the racks. There is a The rack system is not designed for bicycles. The literature that comes with the rack doesn't even mention bicycles. It's safe to say that bikes are the heaviest thing this rack system can handle, and proper mounting is important for stability and safety. Hanging and removing bikes from the rack takes care; pulling down on the bike could cause injury or even break the hook. I don't want my younger kids doing it, so only larger bikes will be mounted at our house. There is a Measure your bike and take note of the top of the tire to determine how high to mount the rack. The bottom of the rack should be mounted below the front tire. I eyeballed the 3-inch approximation because my wall is unfinished. Use a level to draw a line on two studs after you mark the desired mounting position/height. Place the rack between the studs. To mark the screw position, use the rack as a template. How close are the screw holes to the edge? It needs to be about an inch wider for standard wall stud mounting, that's my biggest complaint with this product. Make sure the holes are pre-drilled to make sure the screws are straight and the studs don't split. Once the rack is mounted, pop two large hooks on each end. Different size bikes should be mounted side-by-side on the same rack. I think this is a 4 vs 5 stars because the racks are not wide enough for optimal mounting on studs, and I am concerned that bicycle weight may be pushing the design limits.
👤Hardware for "brick walla only" is included in the packaging. This won't work if you are a majority of the rest of us and you have a garage. The holes in each panel are drilled at the center, so you're not going to find 2 studs to mount this to. The panels would have been a great product if they had made them longer, but they either cheaped out or made a mistake in manufacturing and sold them anyway. I wish I opened the box and started the project 2 weeks ago, when I was still in the return window.
👤The construction of our garage made the installation a bit complicated. Our garage was built with 24 on center studs, but the product is made for 16 on center stud construction. This meant attaching the unit to the 2x6 and covering the studs needed to hold it. The unit screws were not attached to the 2x4 because it was not wide enough. We put five adult-sized bikes on the rack, with handlebars alternating up and down. It's a lot of weight, but it holds up. Our teenage girls can handle bikes on their own, even though it can be difficult to put up and take down one at a time. I no longer have to lift large bikes over my head to hang them from the ceiling because of the amount of floor space it saves. If a person is concerned about the tires marking the wall up, then a high gloss paint should be applied first so you can clean it up every once in a while. This was a great purchase.
Inclusive usages include road bike, mountain bike, tandem bike, etc. The bicycle lights can be fixed to a helmet, pet chain, bag, and also to your safety at night. The rubber coating on the hooks protects them from scratches. It is easy to install and use. 👤I purchased a kayak hoist in November of last year. The hoist has a 100% lifetime warranty according to the "From the Manufacturer" section of the listing. I was completely satisfied with the product until a few days ago. The "100 unconditional lifetime warranty" isn't a 100% lifetime warranty, even though my hoist just suffered a catastrophic failure. I have been using the hoist for over five years. I secured the kayak to the ceiling with safety straps connected to a hook screwed into a ceiling joist, instead of relying on the straps to hold the kayak. There was no stress on the hoist mechanism. One of the straps failed when I was raising the kayak for storage, it was about 6 feet in the air. The kayak fell down. There was nothing under the kayak. The kayak fell because the strap separated from the buckle, which was broken. I was surprised that there was a plastic strap on the hoist. There was a continuous strap with no buckle in the Amazon listing. I was worried that the plastic would fail. I used safety straps because of that. I was right to be concerned, since that was where it failed. I contacted the manufacturer to replace the strap since the product claimed to have a 100% lifetime warranty, but I didn't ask them to replace the whole hoist or claim any damages. Guess what? They said thank you for reaching out. I would be happy to help you. The lifetime warranty is only on the hoist. I apologize for the hassle this may have caused. If you have any more questions, please contact us. This had to be a mistake. A 100% lifetime warranty doesn't exclude certain parts. There is a I contacted them again, asking how this could be. The failed item was in the same box as the hoist. They can't say that they are not responsible for just one piece of the product. The mechanism, straps, and other items make up the hoist. If there was no way to attach the kayak to the hoist, what would it be like? I quoted the warranty from the Amazon listing. We offer a 100% lifetime warranty because we are so sure you will like this kayak hoist. You can find anyone else offering that on their Kayak hoists. I asked if they meant 100%, unconditional, and lifetime. It doesn't say "except the sling/strap" and doesn't have a time limit. All I asked for was a replacement strap. There is a The warranty is for the hoist only. Since your purchase, the buckles have been upgraded. The warranty does not cover ropes and straps. I apologize for the hassle this has caused. I was even more amazed. The unit I purchased had inadequate buckles, and have been revised. Even though they admitted the product was flawed, they didn't take responsibility for it. There is a I wrote to the company's executive offices as a last resort. I did not get a reply. It's obvious that RAD Sportz doesn't stand behind their product and has zero integrity. They make false claims for a 100% lifetime warranty, but then say it really isn't. They are just plain liars and there is no way to sugar coat it. Please don't buy this product. The mine failed dangerously. I was lucky that nobody was under the kayak when it fell, or that it didn't damage my car, or ruin my kayak. If you do have one, use safety straps instead of the straps or ropes. You shouldn't trust the company if they don't think enough of their straps or ropes.

👤The hook is large enough to fit over a wall. I was expecting it to fit over my wall, but the hook opening is only 1.75", so I have to return it. There is a It seems sturdy, durable, and well-made, but I wish manufacturers and distributors would provide useful dimensions.
👤I love everything about these books. They are galvanized so they won't dust. I received green and ordered gray. The color does matter if you use these around a pool deck. Poor order execution is tainting an otherwise perfect product, which is not worth going through a return.
👤I hang step ladders in the backyard. Ladders are out of the way when it rains. Just put them in the fence and forget about them. As need arises, I will buy more on my 2nd set.
👤It took some work to get between the fence panels to rest on the bar, but it is very sturdy for lighter weight objects. I wouldn't hang a large flowerpot on this, but it holds a large. The ladder is easy to climb. Will be buying more in the future.
👤The product arrived on my trash can, but it was not in my mailbox. The vitamins that the husband had sat out for two hours were not ours. I've never asked on top of a garbage can. Very sad.
👤They work great and are perfect for 2 x 6 ceiling joists, even though they cost more than the should. Stand a 2 x 4 from a stud wall and use them that way. I'm buying a new set of hang tools.
👤I wish the hooks were a little bigger for the wall hook.
👤It worked well for hanging two mountain bikes. I didn't have to drill or screw into the rafters.
A life time warranty on top quality. It was made in Taiwan. The product weight is 1.96 kilograms. 4.35 lbs. The rubber coated hooks are designed to protect your bike from scratches. Heavy products can be lifted up to 100lb. There is capacity. The bicycle hoist is the one the other are trying to copy. They do not cut corners. You've heard of the original RAD Bike hoist. Indoor ceilings can be up to 12 feet high. You won't know what to do with all the floor space once the bike is out of the way. The safe locking mechanism prevents accidental release. No one wants to find their bike on the floor when they come home.
👤There are a couple things about this. I like the idea of this, but there are some flaws. The hooks on the hoist system are just bars. It has a curve but not much to make me feel safe about my bike being in the air. There is a This doesn't fit on a 2x4. You have to angle the screws on the 2x4 to get them to tighten. There is a The screws are next. The screws that come with it are cheap. The screws were stripped during the install. There is a It's a good deal if you rig it yourself. Different screws, bending the hooks, and getting a 2x6 instead of a 2x4 to install this.
👤I tried 4 different bikes and each one had the same program. The bikes fall off the hooks. 1. Hooks aren't hooks. They are a bar bend with a piece of rubber on them that are constantly sliding off. I had to bend the hooks in a way that would allow them to hang on to the handlebars. The seat hooks are only usable on a big bike seat that you can find at walmart. I couldn't secure the seat hook to my Santa Cruz Tallboy or Giant Defy Advance even though I did what I could. I have experience that the standard bike shop quality seat has no place for the hooks to grab. 2. The rope is terrible. Gloves are required to prevent rope burn when raising or lowering the bike. 3. It's not easy to store bikes. If you ride daily like me and my wife, it's hard to raise and lower the bikes.
👤I needed to make more space in my workshop. The value is under 40 for four. There is a The product quality is very good and it took no more than 30 minutes to install the rest after the first one was up. There is a The only concern I have is how long the cord will last. It's a coarse weave. The cut ends weren't properly sealed so they were unwrapped. When raising the bicycles, the cord runs through a small hole in the mechanism, which locks down on the cord. The cord will fail through rubbing and pinching eventually, I guess, because of constant use and always raising to the same level. The bicycles will be stored for a long time without much raising and lowering. There is a If you need storage, go for it.

👤I bought a few of them for my garage. Installation was done quickly. I used my stud finder and a pilot hole to install these in the ceiling and hang some pool stuff in the winter. These have been perfect so far.
👤The hooks went in smoothly after the starter hole was drilled. Two hold up a ladder and the other two hold heavy yard tools. The black rubber coating on the prongs is a plus.
👤These hooks are not bad. They have a non scratch coating. We will see how they do after a few months.
👤The hooks were perfect for hanging a ladder from the bottom of the trusses. I found similar hooks at HomeDepot but only in black. The hooks match my ladders.
👤Solid hooks. The rubber coating was a plus.
👤Sturdy hangers. They can be used to hang 2 ladders on the ceiling of my shed.
👤I was able to use the ceiling as a ladder.
👤Holds up to a lot of loads. The rubber surface is hard to peel off.

👤If your dry wall studs are not 32 inches apart, this bike rack won't work. The product description states that it works on Plasterboard, Dry or Stud Wall. The template for the holes to be drilled for the rack is 32 inches apart, and the interior garage wall has the studs spacing 18 inches apart. I mounted the right side into the stud and used 50lb dry wall anchors on the other side. After placing the second bike on the rack, the side with the dry wall anchor pulled out of the wall. If you can mount it into the wall, it will work.
👤The advertisement states that the rack works with up to 5 tires, but it is easy to follow instructions and use the template for the screws. It could hold my fat bike, road bike, and cross bike. The hooks are small on the unit that I received. Maybe I was mistaken and there is another rack with larger hooks. I can hang the fat bike on the rack, but I wish the hooks were longer. My dog only has four tires. Couldn't imagine trying to mount something bigger on these hooks. You have to make sure that the end of the hook isn't pushing into the fattie wheel. The fat bike is in the middle and the aluminum channel is pulled away from the wall in the center. There is a We'll see how it holds up. If you are using it for skinnier tire bikes that are not heavy, it is a great rack.
👤The bike rack is nice and works well. It's very easy to install if you have standard wood studs. The installation instructions make it seem like it's much easier to install than it is. I think it's hard to get a full sized 10 speed bike up onto the hanger. My wife can't do everything an average man can. It is easier to get them down. She can do that. She could probably get them hung up if she really worked hard at it. There is a It works great, but you need a little strength to actually use it. I can't find the button to attach pictures.
👤The instructions for mounting the rack were good. I had to mount a piece of lumber first because the location I chose didn't have the right spacing for the mounting holes. It was easy to mount the rack from there. The corner of my garage is where the rack is located. I had to figure out how far from the side wall to place the rack and still have room for a bike on, accounting for handle-bar width and hook placement. Your buyers might benefit from some guidance on this. The red hookcovers are cheap. I'm not sure they're needed, but more for aesthetic reasons. The shipping package had two halves of a red cover stuck together. I tried to pull the pin apart, but it broke. Oh well. Amazon sent me two sets of hooks and mounting hardware. I was able to steal one of the red clips from the spare set. It seems like a waste. I will not use the extra hooks. There is a I bought this rack because I thought the design would allow me to roll a bike up to the rack, lift one wheel and then roll it right onto the hook, with one tire still on the ground. I wouldn't have to lift the entire weight of the bike. The directions for this rack are very specific about how high off the floor the rack should be. I put up the bikes for the first time after following the directions, but not a single bike touched the floor. All three bikes have at least two to four inches off the floor. I am aware that bikes have different lengths. You might want to think about how far off the floor you want the tires to rest and account for different wheelbases before you mount this rack. I still have to lift the entire weight of my bike up when it's mounted off the floor. I ride a large mountain bike that is 27" in length, and I am 5 feet 10 inches tall. The prescribed distance between the hooks should be more of a suggestion. Depending on your bikes' bar width and how you hang them, you can have different spacing of the hooks. There is a The rack does what it says. I was able to mount three bikes. The bike rack is sexy for anyone who cares about bikes and is willing to pay for it. The cost is high, but the rack should last forever, the only breakable parts are expendable. There is a What does "sheerness" mean for Amazon? I'm having fun imagining.

👤I don't like the way the beam bows at the current price of $40. I like the way the frame angles fit my bike. The included front wheel strap has been very useful. I took off one star because I still question the beam's integrity. 10 minutes is the time it takes to install with a stud finder and drill. I adjusted the mount beam and tightened the lock knob after drilling into the wall stud. The bike arms fit perfectly on my bike frame and I noticed that the beam started to bow slightly when I adjusted them. For reference, see the photo. The mount's max weight is 50 lbs. If my bike makes the beam bow, I would start questioning the integrity. The mount and beam are level against the wall without the bike. The screw mount portion is securely placed with 3 screws and I don't expect it to fail. I don't see how a metal beam can hold a 50lb bike when it isn't fully extended.
👤I am using it for a 20 lbs bike and it is a good value.
