The pad surface rubs continuously on the rotor even with the pistons on my TRP Spyres dialed all the way out. There is not enough adjustment at the mount. It's odd that the TRP units are a bit thinner. I think the fit would be non-functional if you have the same type of rotors. If you're riding and racing in muddy winter conditions, the Swiss Stop 15 is the best Spyres I've found so far. The Swiss Stop units are expensive and hard to find, but they perform beautifully and last longer than any pads I've tried. Don't use these generic pieces of crap. They seem to have been made in a factory run by people who don't know how bicycle disc brakes work.

👤I upgraded my bike to 203mm from 160mm. I bought a Avid IS caliper adapter to make the switch. I ride in the city with a few long descents due to the hilly terrain. I'm a big guy with a heavy bike, so the larger discs were needed. The 203's barely fit, with only a small amount of clearance from the outside edge of the disc to the inside of the leg of the fork. It was just enough to clear. I could see the inside leg of my fork was being used to allow discs up to 180mm. The 203's were not easy. Before buying discs larger than 203's, you should look at your fork to see if there has been any changes made to the fork construction. The G2's were mounted onto my Centerlock hubs. The 203mm G2's work well and I feel more secure on long descents, with less fade visible at the bottom of the hill. I am using organic pads. The discs looked like original packaging. I did not use the 6 bolts because I used the Centerlock adapter.
