The Trigger is Simple Green. The Degreaser is based on a fruit. It's a great product for metal parts. Grease is removed from non painted metal parts.
👤I tried most chain cleaners and they didn't work well. This one takes off the chain lube on my mountain bike quickly and efficiently. I am using a waxy chain lube and it works well. The cassette area and the chain rings can be found on a brush. Let the chain dry and it will be clean.
👤I cleaned the chain on the bicycle I bought at the estate sale. It had been in a barn for 20 years. I bought the Trek 1400 aluminum road bike for $12.00, and I wanted to give you an idea of its condition. To get the chain to flex, I had to remove the chain from the bike. It was gunked up. Do you want the condition picture? I used Pedro's chain in a Filzer Chain Cleaner and it looked brand new. Highly recommended for regular maintenance. I plan to use this at least once a month to keep my bike in good working order.
👤The degreaser is amazing. I hated cleaning my chain because of the smell of degreaser. Pedro's makes it smell great. I don't dread cleaning my chain, but I do look forward to it. Just fill the to the line and back pedal. I emptied out the dirty cleaner and repeated the process a second time because my chain was dirty. Everything looked great after that.
👤It is expensive. It works and lasts a long time. It works well and smells good. You don't want it on your skin if you use it under normal use. If you buy a pack of gloves from the store, you're good to go. It works well with my chain cleaning tool. It takes a while to evaporate completely, so I usually clean at night, let it dry overnight, then lubricate the next day. If it wasn't so darn. I would rate it more expensive.
👤It was open and leaking all over when it arrived. The product is close to being gone. It was unfortunate waste of money.
👤This is a repeat buy for me because I'm a long time user of Pedro's products. I use it all over my trike. I like it for cleaning my cassette and chain. I use a wax based chain lube that works well in cleaning the power train. I have never seen any damage to the various surfaces it has been applied to. It has a pleasant smell and is based on the fruit. I don't need to look for anything else.
👤Excellent product for cleaning even the toughest gunk on my drive train. I've purchased this many times and the same result.
Fit type: Specific. Finish Line's degreaser is powerful and popular. A dry-style degreaser which cleans and strips everything down to bare metal and then evaporates dry. It's perfect for disc brakes. The mechanical agitation helps remove the contaminants. No rinsing or brushing required. There is a plastic safe.
👤The Finish Line Speed Degreaser is the fastest degreaser I have used. It's expensive ($9.99-$15.99) but it's so good. You can watch stuff come out of chains that you already cleaned. I usually start with Park Tool Chain Brite in a spray bottle and use it after to make sure everything is clean. I get 2 chain cleanings from a can. I am very picky. I know I use too much. ZEP used to make a 60% or 90% heptane aerosol quick degreaser which could be had for $8, but they removed a very high percentage of heptane in the new formula, so ZEP is no longer a choice as a substitute. I checked at least 60+ products from ZEP,WD40, automotive stores, and Liquid Wrench but could not find a similar formula. The starting fluid is a good cleaner, but it is highly inflammable and can leave oily messes thanks to upper cylinder lubricants. Go for the finish line! I need to use a chain cleaner. It is made by Finish Line and is similar to most other branded chemicals and lubricants made by the same company. The history lesson is done.
👤Very little fuss. I own a city road bike. My opinion is that your greasy grimy shit is different. It's urban greasy crud. The parking lot where I park prior to my favorite bike riding routes was sprayed over. The bike was turned upside down. The frame on the asphalt side was covered with a couple of towels to keep the spray out. The mission was accomplished. I estimated that most of the greasy gunk was wiped off. I realized that I might have to go through a whole can to get everything perfect. It's good. It isn't that good. I stopped when I felt like it. I ordered something I never heard of until I researched it on Amazon. It's calledFinish Line. The strands of floss are thick and hard to reach. It's dental floss for your cassette. Your creativity may be different. They are a 5 star+ treatment and I'll just say that since I'm not reviewing them here.
👤Maybe it was all the hype from other reviews that said this stuff is like magic - spray it on and by the time it drips off of your chain and the rest of it evaporates, your chain will be new again. That didn't happen for me. It was marginally better than a generic cheap degreaser I used before. The new Bike Degreaser is better than the old one.
👤I have been in the bicycle industry for 30 years. I have used the dry type aerosol degreaser from Clean Streak for 20 years. I was forced to make a different selection due to supply issues, and am happy I did. I like the Finish Line Speed Degreaser more. The can does a better job of cleaning than my previous cleaner did. It has a pleasant smell. There is less fluid volume in this can compared to Clean Streak. Finish Line Speed Degreaser lasts me as long as I can remember. I think it's a more effective product that is delivered with greater pressure. I have used Finish Line Speed Degreaser on many surfaces. The cleaner has not caused damage to painted, delicate, plastic, anodized, etc. Thank you later if you decide to buy some.
It is just as friendly on the environment as it is on your ride. A professional strength formula. Removes grease, dirt, and debris. Works well on engines, machinery, tools, tires, and rims. It works fast to remove grease, oil, dirt and grime. It can beDiluted to desired needs. It can beDiluted to desired needs.
👤This was used on a 13 year old diesel engine that had never been cleaned. The engine had a lot of dirt on it. Everything under the hood was sprayed with half water and half degreaser. Did not allow any on painted surfaces. It was washed with water 30 minutes later. The engine is new. The product will etch aluminum. There are etch marks on both of my alternators. It had a coating of grime before. I think this stuff is my go to degreaser.
👤To make the rear look like new and cut through a year of standing stains. I tried to take pictures of the rear of the trash truck. If you've ever seen a rear of trash, you'll know it's full of all kinds of grease, Grim, and so much more. I used this product on the lift gate from top to bottom. l put the product in a 3 gallon spray and mixed it with water from a 16.9Pepsi bottle. The whole rear gate was sprayed. Then I washed my truck with a wash brush. After spraying it all over, I let it sit for about 3 minutes, then power washed it all off. This product cuts through a lot in less than 6 minutes. L would have done it again if he had more time. When you look at the pictures you see brown and white marks from the paint being scratched off while using this equipment for almost a year. This product does eat through what they say it does. It does what is advertised. People don't know what a cut ratio means and they give it 1 or 2 stars instead. This product is great. To make it look like this and cut through 1 year of standing stains. I am very happy. If l remember next time, I will post newer pictures when I can spend more time cleaning the whole truck. This product is worth spending money on. It's great, and you should be happy.
👤I don't know what this orange glowy stuff is made of, but it is awesome! It looks like orange fluid, spray on, let set for a minute and rinse off. I don't have to scrub anything. My motor was almost new. I took a few pictures of the underside of the hood. I've used it in the house and vehicles. It will stink on your motor for a day or two, but it will go away after a while.
👤I used this in the engine compartment on a 1999 Honda Civic, the whole engine, firewall, inner fender, all of the surrounding components were caked with grease, dirt and oil. There were 2 different oil leaks in the car. It had been leaking for a long time from the build up that was in there. I bought this because it would make it easier to fix the leaks since they were caked on for so long. The directions said to put the cleaner in a 6 to 1 ratio. I was blown away when I started cleaning. I have never seen anything like this before. I had to go over it about 4 times, but it was so clean that the engine compartment looks almost new, and it took less than 6 ounces of the cleaner mixed with 30 ounces of water. I've never used a cleaner like this before.
Keep your bike running smoothly by keeping it clean while you ride. It is safe for use with all plastic and rubber parts. Made using orange peal and soy-based extracts. Strong enough that you can use water for less difficult jobs. The surface tension is low for penetration.
👤The deep cleaning power of this product makes it easy to use and thus waste too much, but I can't say enough good things about it. It works like magic when I use citrine to deep clean my bicycle chains. I think it works best if you gradually diminish it, rather than going for a single pass and then rinsing. I like to fill the chain pig and use it until the degreaser is well-degreased and then replace it with water. It is potent enough to work even when it isDiluted, and I just find that it produces a cleaner chain.
👤I tried a few. I can't rely on anything else because this hurts the pocket book a bit. Do they make a bigger size? I use this with the power tool cleaning thing and they make a lovely pair. I don't like bike things. I think I will keep buying it until it is out of production.
👤I don't know if it's better than any other degreaser, but it does work and it works better than I thought it would. I use Finish Line's chain cleaner, but I also use a rag to wipe down some components that had built up a bit of dirt after a summer of riding. I was surprised at how easy it was to clean. I expected this to be a watered down product so as to be more friendly to bike parts should someone use too much and degreased things. Not true. It's a very strong degreaser. Use caution around the parts that are Greased on a bike. It will clean things up nicely.
👤I bought my first can of this a year ago. I put this in my chain enclosure and pedal a few times. I like the smell of it and it cleans quickly. If the cap falls, the liquid and scent can be kept out. I'm about to buy my second can.
👤This will clean your cassette and chain very quickly. You can keep the degreaser in a jar and let it settle, all the muck filters down to the bottom, and the clear solvent can be used again. I don't use it very often. If you want the lubricant to stick to the rollers, you need to remove it from your chain with soap and water.
👤This was the best investment I could have made for my bike. It cleans the gears and chain on my bike. I am able to use this product in my garage with the garage door closed because there is no harmful fumes. I don't have fancy tools, but it cleans perfectly. You will enjoy the investment in a smooth ride if you try it.
👤After sitting in a garage for two years, my bike needed some serious work. My chain is new again. The picture may not show it well after I tried cleaning with rags. It was still full of gunk, particularly inside the links, which are difficult to clean by hand. I used two rounds of this degreaser in the Finish Line chain cleaning tool and it worked in less than five minutes. This combo is a must have if you own a grungy chain.
The PCS Precision Bicycle Cleaning Brush Tool includes a professional bike chain cleaner, tire scrubber, tarpered detail brush, wheel brush, and sparrow scraper. Attach the cleaner to the chain and use the pedal to turn the chain for free wheel designs. The bicycle has to be elevated or flipped over in order to work. The part of the bike cleaning kit that fits for different parts of the bike is easy to clean, all the bristles are sturdy enough to clean in between cassettes, derailleur areas, and any other areas that are hard to reach. Different brushes fit different parts of the bike. The handle has been designed to grip the brush comfortably. It is easy to remove dirt from hard to reach areas. It is made of high quality material. The cleaning kit can be used as a daily household cleaning tool.
👤I bought this for my boyfriend, who is a retired pro, and he wasn't sure how he would feel about it. He is amazed at how clean his bike is. He likes the chain cleaner and says his bike chain has never been clean.
👤The chain cleaning tool broke. I didn't bother to return it, but I don't recommend it. I used a tooth brush for my gravel bike.
👤Cheap plastic tools for the home mechanic. I think they have a short life span.
👤Products are described. It was worth the price for the chain cleaning unit to make sure my chain will last as long as possible.
👤You get what you pay for. A chain cleaner is a joke.
👤The machine is made of garbage. The rest of the stuff is plastic from the dollar store.
👤Alright set. The chain cleaner is small. I bought a larger one.
👤I can do a better job cleaning my bike now that it's easier. I would buy it again.
👤After one use, the elastic band separated from the cloth. For a couple cleans a year, the flimsy tools work well. It's nice to have different options to clean, but I should have bought a better chain cleaner unit.
👤A complete cleaning set. It's useful and practical.
It can beDiluted to desired needs. The Trigger is Simple Green.
👤This product was a big disappointment. My cycling buddy described foam. This isn't the same. The difference? The aerosol spray can was purchased by him. The product in the bottle cleans the same as regular Simple Green. The bottle and label are the same. Shame on me, fool me once. No way!
👤The Simple Green Bike Cleaner/Degreaser is a product that I have been using for a while. The tool uses about two ounces of cleaner. After doing two cycles through the scrubber, my chain was completely clean. I was amazed by the result. The combination of a cleaner and scrubber works very well and is very cheap. There is a The spray bottle was inconvenient for filling the scrubber, but it was necessary to let the rear sprockets soak while I scrubbed the chain. The bike was washed with water from the hose.
👤I like to detail my dirt bike at least once a week. I like to use a degreaser that is safe for the environment and works well on my parts. It's hard to find this stuff in the stores so you have to order it online. The package was well packaged and was shipped in about 3-4 days. Will buy again if I can find it cheaper.
👤I am an avid cyclist and love to do my own mechanical work, so I thought I would try Simple Green because I love it for household cleaning. Don't ever buy anything else. It cleans everything to the bare metal in no time at all, but I don't know what it is about. It is gentle and can be used on a variety of materials. It is the best bicycle degreaser on the market.
👤A good chain cleaner. Removes build up without a lot of effort. A person to clean your chain.
👤It is very effective to clean bike mechanical parts. It's easy to do a decent clean to be a professional. It is highly recommended to use for the home owner.
👤Does what it is supposed to do. It gets grease on my bike. Use it on the entire bike. Cleans chains.
👤Cleaned, but didn't remove the caked on grease. Some of the ingredients may not be natural. I had a nasiea attack after using Bike Simple green. I recommend using rubber gloves, a mask, and large eye glasses.
👤Me gusta el trabajo.
👤Fcil de usuar. La bicicleta efectiva para limpiar.
👤Muy tiene producto para desen grasar las cadenas.
👤No tienes agresivo con la bici.
Sturdy triangle base with rubber feet will hold bikes steady and won't scratch the floor. Bike chains, rear cogs, and chainrings can be cleaned with a complete cleaning solution. Includes degreaser, gear brush, and chain scrubber. The chain scrubber cleans chains quickly and effectively. Dirt collects between gears and other places where the brush reaches deep. ChainBrite Chain and Component Cleaning fluid is plant-based and will not harm plastic, rubber or carbon fiber.
👤I ordered extra bottles of the cleaning solution because the one that comes with the kit will only last about 3 cleanings. I was able to hold the cleaning tool in my left hand while spinning my pedal backwards to run the chain through it. I use the brush to scrub my cassette. It cleans everything. Thanks to this tool, I will be obsessed with having a clean chain. I wear medical exam gloves to keep my hands clean, wipe the chain with a microfiber rag, and then apply a little lube to the chain, and let it air dry over night. It is easy to rinse out the cleaning tool with clean water. All of them were very pleased with this kit.
👤I bought this to clean the chain and gears after 3 years of use. My review is here. There is a The chain and gears are much cleaner than before. It works! The liquid degreaser works well. The tool works, but there are some things to be aware of. The supplied brush works well for the gears. There is a If you are going to use the tool you need, you should use a bike stand, a place to hang your bike or another person to help you do the cleaning. Lift the bike so the wheel isn't on the ground and hold the cleaning tool, that's what it's called. I think that works if you have 3 hands. Some of the bad reviews are due to this. It can get messy if you don't have rags and towels handy. The degreaser turned black when I had 3 years of dirt on my chain. The black degreaser was spilling out of the tool onto my floor when my bike wasn't level. The degreaser would flick out of the back of the tool if I was pedaling backwards or forwards. I had to put towels on the bike. I wish I knew that before the end of the world. The black greasy mess that was on your bike chain needs to be cleaned. Taking the tool apart wasn't that bad. There is a It's a good tool if you keep the caveat mentioned above in mind.
👤The cleaning solution that comes with the chain tool seems to be overpriced if purchased separately. Simple Green and dish washing detergent are recommended. There are alternate cleaning suggestions in the videos. Hopefully Park Tool will look at their reviews and lower the price and come out with larger containers that will bring a better value to their chain cleaning chemical. There is a Park Tool has excellent products, excellent videos, and an excellent customer service team.
👤The chain cleaner works well, but the solvent runs out quickly. You should buy a can of the bike degreaser for $7 instead of buying a new bottle of solvent. Since it sprays foam, it will last you longer and save you money. You can spray the degreaser on your chain. In my tests, the same amount of grease was removed with the WD-40 and it was much more cost-effective.
Get a bike clean mitt in a random color and a tapered detail brush for free. The Professional Bike Chain Scrubber is a high quality and professional package. , The Sprocket Scraper, Sprocket Brush, and Bike clean mitt are free gifts. There is more practice. There are 6 cleaning tools to meet your needs. This package can remove dirt from hard to reach areas with different brushes. It is easy to clean the chain. Put the chain scrubber under the bike chain, hold the chain scrubber with the left hand, and turn the pedal in the counterclockwise direction for cleaning. Durability and multi-purpose. The tools are made of high-quality material. The package works for mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes, hybrid bikes, BMX bike and folding bikes.
👤"You get what you pay for" is something we've heard before. That is definitely the case with this bundle. The brushes in the set are nice and I gave it 2 stars overall. The wash mitt feels soft, but I never used it. There is a The chain cleaner isn't functional. There is no way for the chain to drive the different brush heads inside so no cleaning solution is actually applied when it goes through. You should purchase a different product since that is the main attraction of this bundle.
👤The chain cleaner is terrible. It doesn't clean the chains. I can not believe it. These are not good copies.
👤My husband got an ebike and he wanted to keep it working. It's easy to clean the chain. The price was not out of line.
👤It doesn't work as you would like it after using it. I would suggest cleaning the chains manually.
👤It's hard to assemble when you have the soap and water inside, but you would prefer to have an opening on the top for filling.
👤I use brushes more than this and oiling or cleaning with my hands is much better. Thank you.
👤This little set is very cheap. The chain cleaner works well.
👤Cheaply built, feels shoddy. All the parts fall out of the container when the handle is barely attached. It was definitely expected that it would be better. No instructions either.
Powerful soy-extracted solvents break down grease, grime, and stubborn soils. Formulated for use in chain washers. Non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-flammable, non-corrosive. It's safe for your bike's paint. It works well as a general-purpose parts-cleaning fluid. The flip-top lid makes pouring easy.
👤This is a great degreaser for bikes that have regular maintenance. It is best used with a chain-tool cleaner such as the Finish Line Pro Chain Cleaner. Some people are disappointed that they compared this to Windex or Dawn dish soap. This is a non-toxic, non-flammable product that won't have the strength of an acetone like degreaser that they might be expecting. It is not a spray-on, dry-off type of degreaser and is not suitable for caked-in grease, dried gunk or old lubricants on poorly maintained bikes. This is an Eco-friendly degreaser that is best for routine bike maintenance. I use it on our mountain bikes to get the job done.
👤It was used in a park tool chain cleaner. It should be better than solvent-based in my hood. Don't want solvent dirty and bad should be the new fad. I can't vouch for solvent-based cleaning, but this chain degreaser has great meaning. I think it's a good idea.
👤This was the first time I had ever cleaned a bicycle chain, and this degreaser worked perfectly. There is a I used the solution TWICE to dump the black fluid on my chain. Twice more with plain water as a rinse, which turned cloudy. After applying new lubricant, I went for a nine-mile ride and my chain was quiet for the first time in months. It's a good thing. I chose this product because I live near wetlands, so it was a strong selling point. It works so well that it's icing on the cake.
👤When you are waiting for it to break grease and wax loose, you have to take that into account. This one takes a lot more time to complete than a degreaser like Krud Kutter but it does get the job done and isn't as harsh.
👤The chain on my new road bike was tacky grease. I ride it to work almost every day. I put off degreasing it for about 5 months. I applied it to my derailers. I used an abrasive brush to scrub my Chain after soaking it in the solution. I had to dump out the solution three times. There was a lot of grease on it. I spent 15 minutes with the chain scrubin. It isn't clean in between the side plates or inside of the chain. Some of the sprockets came off of it. It is not much. The derailer was the same. I had a feeling that the solution was just dawn dish soap and water. I used to use a chain degreaser from WD-40. It should be sprayed on, hosed off and cleaned.
👤The degreaser is very light. It was not much of a mess to handle, unless there was oil in the degreaser. It is easy to clean off grease in water because it emulsifies it. I clean my bicycle by removing the chain and placing it in a basin. Even though runaway is a soapy degreaser, it can be used as a thicker, oily degreaser like a park tool or even paint thinner. I was asked to rate the thickness of the product. The thin nature of this product allows it to clean effectively.
It is easy to clean. The Dirty Chain Cleaning Machine can be used again and again. If you have used one of their bio chain lubes, the Drivetrain Cleaner is safe to dispose of down the drain. Maintenance is recommended. The warranty is for 1 year.
👤Everything is a trade off. The product is the same. It's a very good degreaser. It falls short compared to a professional degreaser. I tested Pig Juice against Simple Green and Pedro's Peelz. The Pro HD Heavy Duty Cleaner is a high definition machine. Both Pro HD and Oranj Peelz did a better job of cleaning the chain. There is a problem with disposing of these products. Pig Juice can be flushed down the toilet if it is the color and consistency of used motor oil, and if you use it over and over again. You can't do the same thing with degreasers that aren't biodegradable.
👤It will take some elbow grease to get the job done. Get a good set of brushes. There is a I wear gloves because "biodegradable" is not the same as "non-toxic", so I keep my hands free of dirt. I worry a bit about what "biodegradable" means in this case, but I'll offer a pragmatic reason why I like this product. This stuff doesn't seem to cause that sort of chemical change, unlike some car products that do "melt" the grease away. This means that if there is a leak in your bottom brackets or the bushings on your frame, it won't ruin the precious grease inside. I still recommend that you tender with the application of any degreaser, and avoid getting it in or near any bearing point as best you can. Make sure you remove your rear wheel when cleaning the chain to protect the hub, and tilt your bike in a way that causes drips to roll away from the bottom brackets. After cleaning the drive train, I wash the bike. If you have to use it on the cassette, you should take the wheel out and put it in a different position. Park Tools has an instructional video on how to do this. If you're new to the cleaning game, I recommend watching it. You should practice on your kid's bike. They will grow out of it before you notice any mistakes. I have used other brands of degreaser, and while this might not be as "magical", it does get the job done in a way that makes me feel safe to use on my precious ride. It works well with water and seems to wash away beautifully. I tried some "Schwinn" degreaser, but it didn't remove the grime or the degreaser, so I needed another solvent.
👤It's hard for me to find this locally. Amazon to the rescue! I've tried a few products like this in the past, and the best one is the one that kills your grass and your brain cells. It works pretty darn, but there are tradeoffs. It works well with an on bike chain cleaner. There will be some dirt inside the plates. It's true of all bike chain cleaners, no matter what chemical you use. There is a This one does the job well and isn't harmful to the environment. It is recommended.
👤I have used Pig Juice a few times and it works well. It is the same as using distilled water and floor cleaner. It leaves behind a lot of soap bubbles. I think I should have made my own.
Grease is removed from non painted metal parts. It's made for modern bike's painted surfaces.
👤It works great for supper.
👤The product works very well on dirty frames and greasy drivetrains because it smells like grapes.
👤I own a bike. It makes it smell like grape soda. It is amazing.
👤My bike was left very dull. Only used once. Back to Pedros.
