1. ZHIQIU Bicycle Installation Multi Speed Universal

ZHIQIU Bicycle Installation Multi Speed Universal

Thimble is made of high-hardness alloy CR-V and is built to last with outstanding strength. There are tools with 2 thimbles in them. The design makes you safe to use, and the fear of breakage can be eliminated. The 30mm extension bar is precision finished and ensures that the chain post can fit the ejector pin. The locking bolt is designed to adjust the spacing. The bolt rod needs to be close to the chain before it can be disassembled.

👤I used to own a different cheapo chain breaker that broke after I used it a few times. I expected the item to be the same and lackluster. Since I use Master Links, I only needed one to work twice. This tool is better than my previous one. It is easier to use and comes with an extra tip when the original breaks. Don't lose it. The extra backer piece that braces the chain from behind is what makes this tool better than my last one. It turns more quickly. I don't need one of these very often, so I'm happy to have this one when I do.

👤I love this little device. It makes a simple chain link adjustment. It's easy to use, little effort is needed. The cost and performance is amazing. It's a must have. My motorized bike-builds are less congested when I am on this section. P.S... Nice and Gentle gets the job done because the tool will break. 5 stars from me...

👤This is a very good deal and I highly recommend it.

👤No good at all. I wish I could get my money back. Soft metal could not push pins off the bicycle chain links. No hope with this product.

👤I was angry with the bike shop for not working to separate the chain links, as it seemed like it was ready to breakdown if it passed the limits. I used a file, punch and hammer. 3 stars were given for getting a refund.

👤The price grade tool is from Harbour Freight. This tool is acceptable for a rider to use occasionally. Not for a pro mechanics tool box.

👤No need to buy expensive tools. This worked well with my chain.

👤Inmediatamente, me lleg, no sirvi, es de baja calidad. A primer intento se transrosco. No lo recomiendo.

2. Oumers Reliable Hardwearing Bicycle Splitter

Oumers Reliable Hardwearing Bicycle Splitter

Go/no-go gauge shows wear of.5% and.75 percent. It is possible to remove a chain on most bicycles, so you don't have to worry about buying a different tool for your bikes. This chain breaker is easy to use and will fix your bike chain quickly. It is easy to remove the link. Take your time putting the chain back together and push the pin out, just line everything up and remove the link. The chain rivet tool was made from carbon steel, which is very strong and durable, so there is no worries of it breaking or bending while working on your bike. The plastic handle is very comfortable and anti-slip. A built-in hook for holding the bike chain in place while performing maintenance is included in the bicycle chain tool package. They guarantee to provide the best product and service. They are happy to give a Refund or a Replacement for bicycle chain cutter tool issues.

Brand: Oumers

👤I only needed this tool to work once. It was easy to figure out how to use it. It only took 2 minutes to get my first chain link apart, and there was no damage to the chain. It is not a professional tool, but the price was right for what I needed.

👤A piece of junk. Trying to be "Universal" is an old problem. It's worthless for all applications. The chain should be secured to prevent it from getting lost during the operations. That is offensive during the reassembly process. The chain needs to be secured in order to get everything aligned, and to be able to press the pin home through the links. That process is almost impossible because of this thing.

👤I like to ride a bike. I enjoy tuning up my own bikes, but not a pro. I had to remove the chain from one of them and order the breaker. It worked great for me, I have never used one before. I saw some negative reviews, but my experience was great. I might never need to use it again, but it did a good job when I needed it.

👤The chain slots on the chain splitter are meant to hold the chain in place as you remove the pin, but they bend very easily and are difficult to move back. I only needed this for a couple of uses, so it didn't matter to me, however for someone who is going to need this a lot, I highly recommend spending a bit more for a better quality steel. It's worth it for a few uses, but not long term.

👤It was very easy to do and it was disappointing how quickly it worked. It's done if you place the chain in place and twist it. I was surprised. My first thought was, "I paid for this?" It took 15 seconds. You realize that it is impossible without this tool. It works for me, despite being a novice at bike repair. For the rest of us, it works, even if it isn't a heavy duty tool for a pro.

👤It is an ok value for money. When it's screwed in, heobbles a little. Not tight, but sloppy. The packaging looked like it might have been returned. It will work for my purpose, but not high quality.

👤This did what it was supposed to do, and it was a good price. If you have kids who will use it, or you're looking for something that you might need in a pinch in the middle of nowhere, you'll probably want a sturdier one.

👤I should have bought a park tool. I had a park tool that was stolen. Since it was cheaper, I bought it, but a chain tool is worth the extra money.

👤I spent 2 days trying to untangle my chain and re- install it on my bike before I got this chain tool. There is a I just disconnected a chain-link and re-installed it because of this chain tool. The chain rivet was put back into the chain link. I used pliers. It arrived in 2 days.

3. Odoland Repair Bicycle Multifunction Perfect

Odoland Repair Bicycle Multifunction Perfect

There are four spoke wrench sizes. Function: Multiple The bicycle repair tool kit is made from carbon steel and high-quality plastic and is perfect for all bicycle repairs. The bike tool kit set is easy to use, it has a suitcase which can organize all the tools in the place, and it is lightweight so that you could carry it easily and conveniently to anywhere you want. Their repair tool kits can be used to repair bicycles, but also can be used as a household tool. The tools you need are included. The package includes a freewheel and B.B. cup wrench. The forged "O" spoke Adjuster is the Hub ConeSpanner. The Cotterless Crank Tool is a tool. 8mm L handle and Square Nut are included. The tire lever is 7 in 1 and has a folding tool. * The chain rivet kit has a screwdriver and cold patch repair kit. The open wrench is a tool used to remove a crank. It's perfect for bike repair. The bicycle maintenance tools set is a great kit for beginners, it has everything you need for basic maintenance and tune-ups.

Brand: Odoland

👤It earned 3 stars because of its value for money. I was able to use the tools that were designed for it. The tire 15mm wrench is too small. It will make your nuts stand out. I had to use another wrench to get a few uses of them. The wrench case was not fastened. All of the tools came apart at the point where it was loose. Don't buy this kit if you want to keep it for a long time. The kit is supposed to last for a few uses. If you want your tools to last and not damage your bike, buy them separately.

👤I'm not going to write an honest review because what I say will be flagged and not posted. Don't buy this unless you're 13 years old and looking for your first kit, I'll say only this.

👤A complete set of tools is what this is. It's a nice kit if you're like me and have never done bike repair or maintenance before. I wouldn't recommend them for someone doing a lot of this kind of work because they aren't the most solid feeling tools. They are all made from the same light cheap alloy. You can see it in budget tool kits. We only ride occasionally, and will probably never need most of them, but having the ability to remove and replace parts should the need arise is a great thing. If you carry a portable kit, I would recommend just bringing a small set of tools, but if you need to use them while out riding, I would suggest tossing the plastic case in a backpack or car. Those of us who ride casually in non demanding conditions are geared for this. If you're a mountain biker or a road biker, you'll put hours of hard riding on your bike. Higher grade tools are available. If you are an occasional leisure biker... This kit is great.

👤I bought this kit for the chain tool, thin wrench and crank removal after I refurbished my grandson's bike. There were no problems with the thin wrenches. I added a piece of metal from a cut off bolt head that was too small to push the crank arm bolt out, but the crank removal worked well after that. The chain tool was useless. It didn't hold the chain properly and there was so much play in the probe that was supposed to push the pin out. I used a small nail set to knock the pin out. I'm rating it a 3 because it came with some other tools that seemed to be ok.

👤I had to remove the burrs from the Freewheel removal tool to fit my Freewheel. The chain tool was used on the side chains. The links wouldn't fit in the tool. The links fit properly after the burrs were removed from the link journal. It was first used on the KMC 9spd chain. It worked well. The threads on the punch pin rod were starting to get a bit weak. I finished the chain after applying lubrication to the threads. The pin rod was seized while doing the chain. I tried to get my chain out by breaking the handle and pin rod. Very disappointing. There is a I didn't have much Torque to apply to the Cone and Chain Wrenches.

4. Park Tool CC 3 2 Chain Checker

Park Tool CC 3 2 Chain Checker

It's perfect for the home mechanic. It's possible to easily remove and replace chain links with a compatible one. Accurately measures wear on the bicycle chains. It's compatible with most 5-to-12 speed chains. Go/no-go gauge shows wear of.5% and.75 percent.

Brand: Park Tool

👤This is the most specific tool you can buy. Measure your Road bike chain fitness and let you know if it's time for a chain replacement. It's all over. It can't do anything else. I've tried. I've tried to make failure as dull as a butter knife. I tried to use two chopsticks at my local restaurant, but they were not accepted. I tried to re-market these as metal back scratchers, but one person with a really itchy back bought one and used it to see if their bike chain is stretched beyond its useful life. It's magic for that. The tool has a.75 inch measure and a.125 inch measure, which are both fine indicators for high end road bikes. I like to replace my chain when the indicator is too low. It's a low tech tool that's really good. Fred should own one.

👤I had a chain for a long time. Disappointing. I thought it was time for a new cassette since it was shifting ok and it wasn't worn. The tool was simple to use and the.75 was a push on some links but I just slid it in to make me say, why not? People who replace their chain every 2,500 miles must be animals and throw down some TDF-like power, or just don't keep their chain clean and ride in gnarly conditions. The tool takes all the guess work out of a decision in 5 seconds.

👤I have a different brand chain checker tool. My other one only checks to.75 and 1.00, so I bought this. The other one works well for single, 6, 7, 8, or 9 speed chains, but on newer 10 and 11 speed chains the specification to replace them is.50 of chain wear. The Park Tool CC-3.2 chain checker tests to.75 and.50, but not necessarily single speed chains. You can replace single speed chains early at.75 instead of letting them wear to 1.00 so you can use this one as well.

👤The Park Tool CC-2 Chain Checker is twice the price of the one I have. The CC-2 is easy to use. The readings are the same, but the CC-2 suggests wear earlier than the CC-3.2. I love this thing and think it's essential. If you have to choose one chain checker, go with this one.

👤I tried the ruler method but it was hard because the chain wouldn't be straight and I thought I'd just buy this and it makes it easy. I'm over 4% on my 7 speed bike. I just ordered a new chain and I needed to get it. There is a I was too late and my new chain was slipping in the two high gears I use the most. I ordered a new wheel. If you have a bike that uses a casette, it would cost you a lot more. Had I just checked the chain, I would not be out an extra $38. Park Tool may cost a little more but their stuff works well and they provide the community a very valuable service with their videos. I want to support them whenever I can.

5. Pro Bike Tool Torque Wrench

Pro Bike Tool Torque Wrench

It comes with a head that can drive in both directions and measure Torque in a clockwise direction. Installation components with precision are 2.0 to 20.0Newton Meter Torque range with micro adjustment to 0.1. It helps to ensure that the fitting on your bike is tightened to the correct Torque and that the clamping forces are distributed evenly across the surface. This helps prolong the life of components. It's ideal for use on stems, seat, lever, chain sets, and headsets. Over-tightening bolts can cause expensive damage to your bike. Applying too little Torque can cause bolts to work loose. It is easy to follow the manufacturer's recommended settings with their 1/3-inch drive dual-direction Torque wrench driver. Each hand tool is tested for accuracy before it is shipped. It is easy to use and read. The spring loaded adjustment collar is locked in place at the desired Torque setting, so it won't slip when being used. The scale is easy to read. When the pre-set Torque value is reached, the wrench emits a click that can be heard and felt. The click can be subtle at low settings. The click will be stronger if it's between 5 and 20 Nm. The right tools for the job include: H2, H 2.5, H3, H4, H5, H6, H8, H10 The sockets are T10, T25, T30 and the extension bar is 100mm. The case has a section for storing bolts when using the wrench, as well as a protective molded case to keep the wrench and bits safe. The head measures Torque in clockwise and counter clockwise directions. Release the bit instalments button. Each hand tool is tested for accuracy to the requirements of ISO 6789-2:2017 and DIN EN ISO 6789-1:2017-07, as well as test methods for quality conformance testing. Each set has an individual certificate of calibration. If you have a problem with your purchase, they are happy to give you a Refunds or a Replacement.

Brand: Pro Bike Tool

👤If you are getting this, please learn how to use a Torque wrench. You can't pull on this thing like you would a regular tool. Make sure your bit is seated in the correct place, then slowly pull from the handle until it clicks. If you are not next to a jet engine, you should see it click and hear it. You are more likely to get a bad reading if you yank on the wrench. You should be able to pull the Torque wrench slowly and evenly with one hand. Take care of your tools and it's a great piece at a great price. If you rush it, you'll miss the click at low settings and risk over torquing bolts.

👤The product looks similar to the pro vibe wrench. It is easy to set and use. The purchase was worth it. I received an email from the company explaining how to use the product.

👤Since I did not have a Torque wrench, I am not comparing this to other Torque wrench, but rather to my previous strategy of estimating Torque by the amount of pressure at a given lever length with my right arm. One pound of pressure at one foot of leverage is one pound of pressure at six feet of leverage. The metric system doesn't calibrate itself to feet and pounds, but small bolts get hand pressure, big bolts get arm pressure, and huge bolts get more pressure than body weight with big lever arms. This is a small wrench for hand and arm pressure. When I reach the point where the wrench is set to, there is a "spring-loaded" "click" that occurs. There is a The instructions state that you can learn what to expect by setting the Torque very low, near the bottom of the range, which is easy to exceed with gentle hand pressure. There is a If you haven't used a caliper tool, you may be surprised that the adjustment moves up and down in a screw motion, with the smallest increment marked around the circumference, and the larger increment marked longitudinally. You can dial in the detail by rotating part of a single rotation. There is a In practice, bike bolts are set to major increments. There is a I discovered that some of the bolts on my handlebars were not tightened to the full amount. I was able to adjust this by setting the Torque to 5, feeling the Torque all the way around the set of 4 bolts, then increasing it to 6 and tightening each one a bit further. There is a I am impressed. It is a quality tool, coming with a handwritten certification of calibration so I don't have to re-do it, and I was able to get assurance of even Torque at the proper tightness that neither has unnecessary flex nor results in a stripped bolt. The first bolts I tightened were made of steel in aluminum, not steel in carbon. No point in raising the stakes if you don't need to. There is a I liked the small extension bar and the variety of heads. I keep the Torque wrench dedicated for Torque, and use my other wrenches for everything else, so that the Torque wrench stays in adjustment, as it should.

6. KONON ONE Cleaning Precision Scrubber

Brand: Konon One

👤It feels like a toy and the chain cleaner falls apart. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.

7. Park Tool Chain Checker CC 4

Park Tool Chain Checker CC 4

It helps prevent premature wear of your drivetrain. The tool works on any 5 to 12-speed derailleur chain and is designed to indicate when a chain reaches.5% and.75 wear.

Brand: Park Tool

👤A tape measure can be used to check chain stretch. You have to get down next to the tape to see what's happening. My eyes are not what they used to be. You put it in place, then dip it in the instructions, and you are done. It's time to buy a new chain if the tab drops too far.

👤I don't know why I didn't get one years ago. This tool could save you money in the long run if you just run your chain to the point where it breaks or is so worn out that it causes shifting problems and excessive wear on your cassettes. Net savings over time are good, because you'll likely by chains more often, but your cassette should last much longer. If you own a bike, this is an essential tool.

👤This is a good tool that is easy to use. As most of you know, it is important to replace your chain as it stretches beyond acceptable limits. Depending on riding conditions and how frequently you clean and lubricate the chain, your results may vary. Failure to maintain and replace the chain will cause damage to your rear cassette and chainwheels which are expensive to replace. Park tools are expensive, but you should get a lifetime of use from this gauge.

👤I have a chain checker that I can fit into good chains, it has two arms to allow you to add some tension to the chain for a good reading. Chain checkers are quick and convenient, but they are not replaceable by a good quality ruler.

👤You pay for the quality of the park. It is very accurate on my chains. The chain tolerances are more important than it is on SRAM Eagle drivetrains. The older Park tool that just sits on the roller and slides in as a go/no go tool is better. This tool will give many years of service.

👤The tool works well for money. It seems like it will last a long time. It's easy to learn how to read. It seems to be better to measure the chain on the bench with a ruler. Since you can use the bike to measure several spots, you can get a good idea of how the chain is stretching before it wears out.

👤I have a cheaper stamped metal chain checker, but I wanted to get a second one. I kept one in my bike toolkit. The park tool is better than expected. The tolerances should be much better because it's definitely machine-made. It takes a better sampling of the chain links because it's longer.

👤If you know how to use it, it's fairly simple. You can look at the diagrams on the back of the package. There is a video showing how to use the chain checker. There is a I hope the lightweight tool does the job. There is a Con: I hope it doesn't ware over time because I'm blindly trusting this.

👤It is simple to use. It is worth watching the instructions. I can test on a variety of worn chains. I used a ruler to measure the same chains and came up with the same results. I can confirm that it works. It takes less time than the ruler method and is more reliable, as I have to repeat the ruler method 4 times to get a reliable average result.

Brand: Aunocy

👤My bike needed a chain replacement. The chain was old-style without a Quick Link. There is a The chainbreaker was able to dismantle the old chain and remove the extra links from the new chain in the same time. There is a The install was done with the help of the wire clip and the Quick Link. The tension was taken off the end links by the clip. The Quick Link was snapped by the bike link plier. One suggestion is to put the chain over 2 smallest sprockets to make it easier to work with. There is a Sorry. The wire clip hold should have been used to fit the Quick Link.

👤Good product. The pliers fit between the chain links well. The chain removal tool was easy to use. There was rust on the wire that keeps the pliers closed, but it was not a big deal.

👤I was shopping around and some things you could buy separately for more money, so why not pay less for all of it?

👤It took some time for me to get used to it, but I know what I'm doing. This is a must have for anyone riding. I think it's great to have it if your chain breaks.

👤It's hard to buy for a son, but he loved it when he opened it. He knows what he is talking about. Absolutely recommend.

👤The chain was quickly fixed. It was the first time. Very simple.

👤The tool was broken a bit. It doesn't work. I'm too lazy to send it back.

👤I've used these tools a few times and they have worked well. Quite happy. Good value.

9. Park Tool AK 5 Advanced Mechanic

Park Tool AK 5 Advanced Mechanic

There is a multi- funtional complete tool. The bike chain kit has a bike master link pliers, bike wear indicator chain checker, chain breaker splitter tool, and 3 pairs missing link connector. It is a perfect match for all your bike chain repairs. There are 36 carefully-chosen tools for a wide variety of bicycle maintenance. The guide to working on bikes is included. A great way to start or add to your collection of bicycle tools. A tray insert and small compartments are in the toolbox. There is a full list of tools.

Brand: Park Tool

👤I bought this kit in Summer 2020 after I broke a gear shift cable and couldn't find the right wrench. I decided to buy identifiable tools for bike repairs because I was frustrated by the fact that I didn't know what household tools were for. The kit has met most of my needs, and while I haven't used all the tools to make it a resounding great value, it has saved me the time of buying each individual part when needed. There is a Most parts are easily identifiable with either Park Tool's blue finish or their label, and the tools appear solid and have held up through repeated, although light, use. I noticed chain slippage in my usual bike as well as in a brand new bike that had a clearly-aligned rear derailleur. The local bike shop wasn't able to fix the issue on the new bike correctly after two visits after I bought the DAG-2.2 tool. I adjusted the derailleur on my old bike using the gauge, but then found the chain was worn and I had to use the CC-4 tool. After replacing the chain, slippage was limited to three gears, and I found the necessary tools in the kit to replace the rear cassette. It was easier to reach tight spaces through various adjustments. I'm very happy with the kit. If you own a bike with something other than the ones from Sram/Diore, you should check the Park Tool videos to see if you need to buy a cassette lockring tool or a chain tool. If your bike occasionally falls onto its right side, and you need to replace your disc brake pads, you should consider buying the hydraulic piston press.

👤It isn't a complete set of bike tools. It is very expensive. The Allen wrench is flimsy and could break at any moment. The picks are too small. The box has all the other tools in it. It does not come with break bleed tools. It is not worth the premium price.

👤I enjoy the construction tools. I think that Park is more expensive than it should be, but they are quality tools. The bike repair manual can be very helpful. I will be using these tools on my bike and others for a long time.

👤It seems like a great tool kit for a bike repair beginner like me. It would be great if it came with a Torque wrench. I had hoped the blue book would be helpful. Online videos are helpful to me.

10. Oumers Universal Mountain Bicycle Splitter

Oumers Universal Mountain Bicycle Splitter

Replacements with the Gorilla Force Lifetime Guarantee are free. A metal frame with grip coated by rubber is well made. A chain hook holds links. A chain pinbreaker. It's easy to break the peg and to remove the chain with the peg out of the tool, because of the unique grooves on the top. The design is portable. The common bicycle chains are suitable for most of the bicycles.

Brand: Oumers

👤This is a tool that feels really nice when you first use it, but the teeth on the chain tend to bend very easily when you're removing pins. I think it's made of a soft metal that isn't suited for this use.

👤It worked out great. I had a chain on my bike that wasn't flexing. I was able to repair the link with this tool. The tool is built well, but I would class it as consume grade. The quality of the tool was good for $10 and I would use it a few times. There were no instructions in the package. M&M K wrote a decent set of instructions which I started with. There is a The hollow threaded receiving screw should be turned so that it supports the chain. If the chain isn't fully supported, it could snap the pin. Remove the pins in the same direction if you are removing a full link. It will be easier to put the chain back together if the pins are in the same direction. I used the tool to drive the pins on the removed link back in to their original positions. I pressed on the back side of the link to get the chain. I paid for my chain tool. There are no discounts or freebies.

👤I needed to shorten a chain and take my bike to the shop. It wasn't easy, but this tool did the trick. I'm not an expert bike mechanic, so maybe I just need some practice, but a couple of keyTakeaways from my use, that may be me, may be the tool, or may just be the way it goes To make it easier to push the pin back in, I saw enough videos that said not to push the pin all the way out of the final link. It was difficult to tell how far to turn since you can't see the pin coming out. The pin came out completely for the first time. It made it harder to get the chain back together after the links were removed. The metal "guides" on the device bent after I removed the first pin. I was careful to center the pin pusher, but I was surprised to see the metal bend. It was easy to bend back using a flat head screwdriver, but I would expect this part of the device to be heat treated for strength and flexibility. The instructions show you how to break the chain, but not to join it again. It was a little tricky since I had to try and get the pin to hold in after it had come completely out in step 1! There is a It got the job done, and I think next time I would have a slightly easier time, but the metal and lack of instructions make me not give it a rating.

👤Oumers Universal Bike Chain tool is an easy to use, comfortable and inexpensive bike tool that would be a good addition to anyone's bike toolkit. It is small enough to fit in your home bike shop, but large enough to be taken out on the trail with you. There is a The chain tool has a comfortable plastic coated handle which aids in securely gripping it while easily removing pins from 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 speed bicycle chains. It comes with a chain hook that can be used to hold the chain together while a new pin is inserted. An extra pin is stored in the handle of the tool. If you have never used a chain tool to break a chain, Oumer has included a colorful and easy to follow instructions card. Give it a read. I was able to easily remove the chain pin from the large plastic knob when I used the chain tool. The tool is a good value for the price, and the feeling of using it to break a pin in my chain is pretty good. I will use the Oumers Universal Bike Chain Tool a lot. This tool is not likely to last more than 20 years. You would want to spend 3x the money for that. There is a Oumers Universal Bike Chain tool is an inexpensive, easy to use option if you need a bicycle chain tool. There are worse options. Thank you for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.

Brand: Pro Bike Tool

👤I am picky. It's seriously. It's very picky. I keep a record of everything. Data, data, data! I wax my chains. It's seriously. Not many people do that. I mention waxing chains because you know why. It's not just because it's the best all-around way to extend the life of your drivetrain, but because I'm separating master links all the time. Did you ever try to separate them with your fingers? You should try it if you haven't already. Sometimes it's not easy. What fixes that? This is a tool. There is a The Master Link Chain Pliers do a good job. It is easy to re-attach master links. The best part? It is black. My Park Tools are gross, but I worry less about that with black handles. You are missing out if you haven't purchased one of these. If you want to skip the Orange Mocha Frappacino, order one of these instead. You will not regret it. I ordered the new versions of the tool, which took the already great tool to the next level. I mentioned a picky thing. My fiancĂ©e wanted to start waxing her chain. I had to order a new version of the tool so she could have the old one. She loves the ease of snapping quick links off and on and the new tool makes it even easier by squeezing the tool to make both actions happen. Some good folks engineered the quality stuff.

👤I didn't know if I needed the tool I ordered. I'm pretty sure I won't use it. I used it to install a new bike chain that uses a master link. I think I could have installed the link without these pliers. I might find these chain pliers indispensable down the road. For the moment, it's not indispensable. The chain pliers cost fifteen dollars. I received a discount by purchasing two separate Pro Bike Tools at the same time.

👤There is no instruction on how to make a riveted master link in a chain if it is a factory chain or a custom. I bent the handles of the tool in order to try out a few places on a chain. This tool is meant to take the pressure off of an item that has a lot of pressure behind it. It's a common thing in all industries, but minimal instructions with little illustrations is way too frustrating. A link to an instructional video and PDF would be a good step.

👤This is a great tool. The design allows you to squeeze to both links. This gives the best leverage, especially with Quick links. I used to not be able to get the links closed with conventional tools. The tool is similar to the one used by the Shimano. It is not as strong as the cast tool. It's much easier to install the quicklinks and they will work as well.

👤I've been riding a bike for 20 years, half of it was riding to work and the other half was riding from Utah to Panama. I don't know how to find quick links. People on bike rides show me how to connect my bikes by pressing them together on the sides. I can't do it. It's something you're born with or not. I am not. I have been saved from frustration in just two bike chains by these. I would recommend these to anyone who has a bike.
