👤There are a lot of great features on this rack. There are security features that lock the rack to your car and lock the bikes to the rack. Everything can be changed. I was able to get the bikes to fit together without touching them. It looks great when you fold it up against the car.

👤I have spent over $500 on Yakima and Thule rack and I use them 3-4 times a week. I decided to give the rack a try because I was impressed by the wall mount from the Vibrelli. It arrived on Thursday and I was impressed with the quality and features that I had 2 bikes on the back, each worth more than my car, doing a 300 mile drive for a weekend of riding and racing with friends. I put this thing through hell this weekend and it is now my primary rack. No problem with fat tires. No problem with rough fire roads. I-95 and 85 MPH, no problem, last minute repairs to your rig before go time, no problem. I only had to use the dropper on one of the 2 MTBs. This thing is solid. It's easy. It took about 20 minutes to assemble, with good instructions and quality materials. I would recommend putting your money in the bike. Unless you have a brand name piece of jewelry hanging off the back of your vehicle. I will be posting a video soon.

👤I replaced my roof-mounted bike rack with a hitch-mounted one and I am very happy. Overall quality is great. The instructions and how-to video made assembling the rack easy. My fat tire bike and road bike fit on the rack. You can access the truck with a press of the foot. The included cable lock and rubber pads are some of the things that really impressed me. Cyclists designed this. Would definitely recommend.

👤It took me a couple of days to figure out what type of bike rack I wanted. I looked at price, brands, reviews, aesthetic design, weight, and features. The features of the most recent and expensive ones were all present in the bike rack that I came across. I was not sure if it had only one review. It was put into the market recently. I think it's perfect for my needs, especially the aesthetic ones, there are some expensive racks that look bad when you leave them on, and they might obstruct the license plate and rear camera view. The 2 bike tray style rack was very nice. The parts and finish of the product look very good and the price is fair, as a Quality Manager I can tell. Positive reviews will start to show up soon, as it will soon be one of the most popular bike racks.

👤Wow. I'm new to the bike rack market. My wife has a 15lb rock Hopper and I have a 60lb ebike. We're going to get another ebike soon. A Kuat or Thule is just so expensive, because we just installed a hitch on our outback. I understand. They're very nice. Then I came across a book. I'm very happy. It is incredibly sturdy. It was easy to use. For me. There are multiple locking features, sold to me. You can save a few hundred dollars and support a good cause. I bet you will also love this rack.

2. MaxxHaul 50025 Mounted Rack 100 Capacity

MaxxHaul 50025 Mounted Rack 100 Capacity

A vehicle is protected from a bicycle. The hitch adapter is better to fit the standard hitch receiver. Can be used on Class I, II, III and IV hitches. Transport 2 bikes with improved cradles and straps. A locking knob keeps the main upright sturdy. 50 lbs per bike is the maximum capacity. 50 lbs per bike is the maximum capacity.

Brand: Maxxhaul

👤Can't beat the price. The rack is wobbly. I have driven my car with it a couple times and no damage has been done. There was no noise. The straps are my main concern. I feel like if I don't tighten up the straps twice, it might get loose. Make sure it's secured!

👤There was a sticker on the outside of the box that said not to use the RV's on the bike rack. What is the deal? Can I or can't I? I've been an Amazon customer for a long time.

👤I use this with a Nissan Xterra. The hitch receiver is off the ground. Bikes ride very low on this rack. I have a bike that clears the road in about 7 minutes, but I have to remove the front wheel for clearance because I hauled my friend's 29" bike. It was annoying. There is a The rack is easy to assemble and works well. If you own a hitch riser, you could use this rack. If you don't make sure your hitch receiver is high, you might be disappointed. I got mine from Amazon Warehouse. It was assembled when I got it. The bottom part of the receiver was installed upside down after I looked at it. I unbolted the vertical bar and flipped the receiver over. It's a good 10 inches higher than it was, and the right height to work without the bikes being close to the road. I changed my rating to 4 out of 5 stars because I haven't used the carrier yet. I might revise again after that. July 2021. The bike rack works. It does move a bit, but all of them move to an extent, and there's nothing alarming about the amount of travel this one has while driving. If you tighten the bolt through the hitch receiver, you can minimize the wobble. I've driven this all over the place, including four lane highways and dirt backroads, and it handles my ebike without issue. If you have an ebike that has a battery on the down tube, it is advisable to remove the battery before putting it on the rack.

👤The rack is simply user error, and no one should pay attention to the negative reviews. The thing is pretty sturdy if assembled and attached correctly. You can watch my video. It is easy to install. The rest will take care of itself if you have the correct tools.

👤I will let you know the things to note for your purchase. There is a The pad around the pole was in the box. I expect this foam to back up in time. Simple packaging adjustments wouldn't affect the operations of the product. You can consider this under Aesthetics. There is a The picture is attached. If your bike doesn't have the horizontal bar, you will need an attachment. That is not a ding again, just a heads up. It takes about 15 minutes to assemble a person. To tighten the bolt, you'll need a wrench and a socketst. You don't want them to lose in time. 40 foot lbs of Torque is what Id gage. Don't tighten to the point you're squeezing the metal. The components are flexible. I was worried that my large bar would be too big. It seats well. I don't think many bikes have larger bars, but if you do, you may want to look for something else. There is a The straps are easy to use. You may be surprised at how easy they are to release. I would recommend doubling back on the strap. You should check these frequently as this is all that holds the bike. Modifications to this strap may be required after they become more used. The vertical bar needs to be installed the right way. If you put yours in backwards, it won't tilt until you reverse it. There is a The instructions state that this should be straight. This is a mistake. It will be able to access the rear of the vehicle, but not flat. There is a The instructions state to tie up the bike components to prevent them from turning into the car. Again, it's obvious. I wish they provided more straps for the product. To keep your bike straight, you need to go through the front wheel. The brakes should be tied to the handle bars. The less movement, the less vibrates. I recommend doing this regardless of your product choice. There is a I've been tested locally. I'll update if things change. I'm happy that I read the above and decided to purchase it, I think you will be as well.

3. Allen Sports Deluxe 4 Bike Receiver

Allen Sports Deluxe 4 Bike Receiver

The 4 bike rack is only for vehicles with a 2 inch trailer hitch. This product requires a Class III or IV 2 inches hitch. Allen's patented tie down system secures bicycles with 22 inch long carry arms. When the rack is not in use, the carry arms quickly fall out of the way. It is necessary for minor assembly. The rack is set up and installed in less than 5 minutes. Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers. Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers.

👤I took some time to use this product before I wrote my review because I wanted to be able to help people decide if this was right or wrong for them. Here is how I use the bike rack. We only travel about 10 miles to where we ride when we have it attached to the hitch of my truck. There is a The pros are as follows. The rack I bought was cheap. I paid $68.00 for it and it has doubled in price. It will come down again, so my suggestion is not to pay more than $68.00 for it. I've seen this happen recently. There is a I can't say how it will hold up in the weather because I only put it on the truck when I need it. This is made from heavy steel and it is not light weight so that should be a plus for its longevity. The cradles that hold the frame of the bike in place are padded so that they fit girls and odd shaped frames without having to buy the extra support bar. It uses a bolt and nut to remove the rattle instead of a locking pin. The mounting system is both pro and con. The pro is that it stops the bike rack from rattling inside of the hitch. There is a If you keep the bike mounted to the vehicle, the frame support arms fold down to make it easier to store away when it's no longer needed. The bikes have been secured with the straps and buckles. I don't know how they would hold up in the sun and weather. The bike support arms fold down, as well as the lower joint. If you need to open the SUV rear door, this is the place to go. There is a Cons. I don't think this particular rack is terrible, but I think you can only design any hitch mount bike rack to do so much. I don't think this design will improve some of the cons I have listed. 1st. The bikes are close together. You have to manipulate pedals and handle bars as you stack the bikes together after the first one. You will need extra bungee cords to secure the spinning wheels and handlebars. Not because the bikes will come loose, but to prevent everything from hitting together and scratching all of your bikes up. The bottoms of the bikes swing back and forth if not bungee strapped. You will get scratches even if you mount things carefully because pedals and handle bars stick out. There is no way to avoid that. The pivot feature is useless when bikes are mounted. If you need to open a car on an SUV, the rack is too heavy to be lowered. Maybe its not supposed to be lowered with bikes mounted. I'm not sure if it would be heavy enough to clear an SUV door with bikes mounted to it. I have it on my truck. There is a The tension bolt isn't as quick to remove as a hitch lock. It is an aircraft style locking nut and you need 2 tools to loosen it. If someone wanted to take the time they could unbolt your rack and steal it. I tried mounting it with a hitch lock, but it allowed too much play in the bike rack to happen. The tension bolt will have to be replaced. The bike support arms can be mounted to the upright. I don't think it would be an issue with breaking if they had designed this area to be a bit more solid. There is a Those are the main points I've noticed. I could see some improvements, but I'm not sure how you could make this type of rack better. If it's right for you, read the review.

4. LEADRACKS Tightener Hatchback Removable Receiver

LEADRACKS Tightener Hatchback Removable Receiver

The rack folds in to a compact size to access the car rear boot or easy storage when not in use. The Hitch Tightener can be installed to strengthen the receiver and rack to make them fit better, and keep your journey safer. Note: The straps have to be very tight when used, or the strap will cause a brand of strap to break. The old straps and saddles need to be used less than 8 hours at a temperature greater than 90 F. The updated straps and saddles can be used longer and more durable under the same conditions. The bike hitch rack is double folding and modular. If one of the two bolts is pulled out, you can easily open the trunk without unloading the bicycle. The bicycle rack is graded load-binding and isSTANDARDIZED. If you are a standard 2 hitch mount, use it. If you have a spare tire, please give them a call. If you have questions before or after the purchase, you can contact them. The staff is always online. They will do everything they can to solve your problems. The purpose is to maximize the interests of guests. If you have questions before or after the purchase, you can contact them. Brand: Leadracks

👤This rack is easy to use and install in a flash. Points to improve, loops or 1/2 circle welds on the rack to run a bike lock through. The tie downs will eventually wear out. I added my own loops to lock my bike because I don't want it to be stolen while I'm away. This would be an added convenience that would be worth paying more for. I put a hitch pin lock on it.

👤The customer service I received made me change my review to a 5. True. The company that made the straps for the bike rack reimbursed me for the new straps I had to buy, which restored my faith in customer service.

👤I almost lost my bikes after the rack broke. The bike rack does not hold many bikes. I put 3 standard size bikes on this rack and it bent the arms of the bikes that were strap to almost immediately. I had to support the bikes with a strap. Even with the hitch tightener, the hitch shakes very badly. I don't like this product.

👤It was well made and sturdy. You have to look at the pictures because assembly instructions weren't there. There is a The plate adds strength. The rubber holding straps are hard to fit over the holding tabs, so the force needed actually bends the plastic mounts. They won't last long. I have been using this rack for about a month and it works great, the rubber straps have stretched out and no longer bend the plastic mounts, I recommend this rack.

👤It looks to be okay, but you would have to ship the whole thing back if you wanted to replace the broken one. I think I can add some ruggedness to it by applying bed liner.

👤The unit came in pieces. I was able to figure out how to assemble by going back to the web and looking at pictures. The seller failed to include one nut and one of the two reflectors. Since I have to buy a nut, the unit has yet to be tested. The owner contacted me about missing pieces. The unit is sturdy and stiff. The rating was raised from 3 to 4 stars due to owners care.

👤It is easy to install and hold bikes. The lower part had more play than I would have liked. It held two bikes in the back of a travel trailer that had a lot of bounce.

👤We bought this for our family. We haven't used it yet. We put it on the truck to make sure it fit and all was well. It feels solid and looks great. It was the silencer.

5. Allen Sports Locking Release Carrier

Allen Sports Locking Release Carrier

Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers. The locking hitch insert can fit either 1 1/2 or 2 inch receiver hitches. A quick install hitch secures and tightens a rack inside of a receiver hitch. When not in use, the arms fold out of the way and the rack tilts back. Individual tie downs are used to protect bicycles. Accommodates a wide range of bicycle frame designs. Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers.

Brand: Allen Sports

👤The warranty is not worth anything. I was told by a representative that my F-350 suspension system is too firm and they wouldn't cover it under warranty. There is no place in the description or PDF where they say anything about one-ton trucks voiding the warranty. They claim that it is not covered under the warranty, and that I used it on my camper. If you want to use this on a truck or camper, you need to know that it's not covered in writing.

👤I love it but only after the 3 problems are solved. I can now drive with 2 bicycles mounted without wobbling, with the bicycle's front wheel in place, and I can remove the post and its arms in 10 seconds when not needed. There is a I have used solutions for three issues. The post and carry arms obstruct the license plate when I don't carry bikes. It is illegal in my state to drive with a rack and no bikes around. It is a crime to obstruct the license plate. They also obstruct the backup camera. I replaced the single bolt that connects the elbow to the post with a new hitch, pin and handle. The cost is about $8.40 It takes me 15 seconds to remove the bike, remove the pin from the replaced bolt, and remove the post from the car. There is a Also: If you drive with an obstruction, the police have a reason to stop and lecture you. Why do you carry the bikes? I don't know. I drive most of the time without the bikes. 2. I have a hitch. I used the elbow. There is still some wobbling after the correct bolt is provided. I used the Hitch Tightener recommended by others. I used the provided bolts face up, otherwise they stick down too much in my car.

👤I wanted a bike rack for my scion xb so I bought a 3-bike rack and a 1.25 inch hitch. There is an issue with the 1.25 inch hitch after installing the rack. It seems very secure. I did some research and found a cheap solution - buy a U bar. The whole package was completed by this.

👤I left the first Allen 3 bike tow hitch carrier at an RV park by accident, but this is the second one I have. I had the cheaper version for a long time and it worked well. I thought I would upgrade to the nicer version of my old one because of the rubber stretch straps instead of the nylon ones that were on my cheaper version. The Allen one is cheaper than most. The folding mechanisms in this one are easier than the ones in the other one and the holding cups are nicer. There is a A lot of people complain about how bad the bike rack is, but that is not the case. It is easy to fix, you can either do it in one of two ways. Most people who use a tow hitch bike carrier have a truck like mine. The bike carrier hole is smaller in your truck than it is in my truck because the pin hole is not as deep. The bad wobble was created by the tow hitch. The anti-wobble pin is the wrong size for most, so don't mess with it. You can get a 5/8" drill bit for drilling through metal at Home Depot. The bike carrier has a hole in it. If you want to make sure someone doesn't steal your bike and rack, you can get a 5/8" locking pin at Home Depot. The wobble will be taken out by this. There are a couple of good Hitch Tighteners on Amazon that are less than $20 if you want to purchase a Hitch Tightener. I use the Hitch Tightener for long trips, but for short trips I use a simple fix. Problem solved.

6. Thule 9040 Platform Carrier Capacity

Thule 9040 Platform Carrier Capacity

Premium platform hitch bike rack. Without frame contact, secures bikes in place. It is easy to install and remove. Attach bikes with wheel loops quickly and securely. Remove bikes with a handle. When not in use, fold the bike arms down. Installation is quick and easy.

Brand: Thule

👤It was great for the first 6 months, but then the internal spring broke and now it's useless.

👤It's a nice bike rack. It looks good on my Q7. The handle to pull the tray is very flimsy, the handles to sehure the bike are very cheap, and the back up sensor on the vehicle. I don't think it will last long.

👤I am not sure what is going on with Thule, as they used to be the standard for bicycle racks. The plastic bits on the Helium platform are what heals this rack. They make up the critical connections with the aluminum trays and they fail/crack due to the required force at the ratchet straps to tighten the bike to the rack...this creates a slight cantilever motion which stresses the plastic that attach to the trays. The mechanism sticks. I have been buying Thule products since 1989 and they are not what they used to be.

👤This is a great carrier. It is very easy to operate. The bike is held firmly. The license plate is hidden when traveling with the carrier in the up position.

👤I'm not impressed by the price of this bike rack. It looks like it was made cheaply. The springs inside the handles for the bike arms and the hitch feel like they will give out any moment as they don't always respond right away when grabbing them to unlocked the ratchets. The key is hard to use and I haven't been able to get the hitch to unlocked so that I can remove the rack from my bumper. It's a bit heavy and full of scratches, since most of it is made of plastic. I would expect a better product from Thule. If I can get it off my car, I might return it.

👤This is a very cheap product. The product had a missing plastic cover. A warranty claim was opened with Thule. After waiting for two weeks and calling customer service, I was told my product would be returned as it was within 30 days of purchase. That is how well the products of Thule are held up. I will not be buying Thule products in the future. The seller is refusing to give me a refund.

👤I love this bike carrier. Not too heavy to take out. It's easy to put bikes on and off. Highly recommended. I didn't think about small tires before buying, but I had to figure it out with my son's bike tires. Not designed for small tires. I like hauling by adult bike. It was easy and quick.

👤It looks very sturdy. I have only used it twice to see how it works, now my bicycle is due soon, I tried to lower the platform, but it didn't work. I have found that contacting a seller through Amazon is a slow process.

👤It's a great rack, but it's a bit heavy for average women. It takes 10 seconds to secure your bike on the rack in a car. Great look too. I'm not talking about the quality of the aluminum. The only downside could be the size. You need a big empty spot in the garage to store it. It takes some room to store it, but other than that, freat product. If you are not concerned about your budget, it is worth it.

7. Allen Sports Compact Folding 2 Bike

Allen Sports Compact Folding 2 Bike

Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers. The bike carrier is ultra-compact. It fits inside a carrying bag or backpack. 3 padded legs rest against the vehicle. The bike is secured and separate from the vehicle. It works on sedans, hatchbacks, minivans, and SUVs. Please consult the manufacturer's web page for a specific fit. Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers. Please consult the manufacturer's web page for a specific fit. A vehicle is protected from a bicycle.

Brand: Allen Sports

👤I bought this item in the year of 2013. I have used it twice since that time. The carrier malfunctioned the second time I used it because the buttons that snap into place to hold the bike rack were missing. I contacted Allen to see if he could help. They said that since the pins were there when you purchased the carrier, this wouldn't be a manufacturing or material defect. This wouldn't be covered under warranty. Allen is choosing not to honor its lifetime warranty because the pins were not installed properly in order to prevent this type of thing from happening. Thank you for the information. I will keep this in mind when I recommend products to others. There is a I am telling everyone that Allen does not stand by their lifetime warranty, and that you would be better off spending your money on equipment from a better company.

👤There are good and bad points to this bike rack. It is very easy to set up. It folds down to nothing. It was very easy for my daughter to use on her own. It isn't the most well-equipped rack. You are not buying a Thule. The tie downs for the bike are not clips, you have to thread and unthread loops to take the bike off. It is great for short trips around town. We are hoping that the bike will make it to Maine safely. It would have been helpful to see the chart on the back of the box before we bought it. My daughter's car isn't on the fit list and we had to make some modifications to her car to make it fit. We should have known that any rack of this type would have been attached to plastic. Our bad. I would recommend this rack even though it isn't perfect.

👤When I bought the bike rack, I thought it would be the perfect accessory for transporting my two bikes from Northern California to Washington. I prepared white duct tape to cover the metal clips and protect the paint on my car after reading reviews about them. The first leg of the trip took only an hour and a half. I thought I needed to tighten it even more as I noticed a small wobble during the drive but the wind was high and it was my first time putting it on the car. When I arrived at my destination, I would make the adjustments that I had been warned about. The cause of the wobble was that one of the rubber stabilizing pads fell off and the metal tube underneath chewed the paint off of my car. I have invested in a Thule and am returning it. I wish I'd made this choice the first time. I'm glad I have touch up paint to protect the car from rust since it can happen in some spots.

👤It works great on our car. I wish they had a protective coating on the metal hooks that sit on the car. I put some cloth between them and the paint.

8. MaxxHaul 50027 Hitch Platform 2 Bike

MaxxHaul 50027 Hitch Platform 2 Bike

Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers. The hooks are foam-padded and do not scratch the bike's finish. Hooks and tire cradles are used to fit most bikes frames. There is a patent pending. ROLL DOWN AND BROWSE THE A+ PAGES FOR MORE INFORMATION. Quick hitch pins assist in accommodating different size bike frames for safe and reliable transport.

Brand: Maxxhaul

👤The product was in good condition. Over the years, we've had several bike racks. The type that hangs your bike from the cross bar is all of them. There are only two frames we have to transport. The female bike was a pain with the extra bar. Not any more. We love this rack. It took about 15 minutes to get it together. It works well in our 2 inch receiver and is stable. They said it was rock solid when I used the clamps. The bikes are super secure and easy to load. Going down the freeway. Awesome. The name brand units are a great price if you check them out. The quality is very good. Highly recommend this product.

👤You can tell by the weight of the box that it is a large hunk of metal. Do not be deterred by the posts that say "too many parts" or that it's too confusing. The average person can figure this out in 20 minutes if they have pictures and instructions. There is a You will want to use the hitch lock piece. It is a deterrent to theft as someone will need a deep sockets or inc wrench before they can remove the carrier, and it keeps the carrier rock solid in the receiver. It will take more work to get your bikes to fit without touching each other. The bikes are reversed in the photos that come with the carrier. I couldn't make this work because the handlebars on one bike made contact with the seat on the other. There is a I have two bikes facing the same direction and the carrier works great. Everything was safe and sound because of a high speed run down the freeway and a drive all over Houston's crappy streets. The red arrow should be noted. As with all bike carriers, it is important that you put some kind of material between the bike and the carrier, as movement and vibration can wear paint.

👤I was worried about the price and the fact that it had no reviews, but it was easy to put together and it fits on the back of my jeep wrangler with the spare tire.

👤I read reviews. Know when I do... I took out the 5 stars. They have to own the company or stock. One star can't even see the pictures and this is easy to assemble. Period. I saw a lot of things. The husband and wife team. It's funny. Repacked and sent it back? You sent the bike rack back. Not a bolt or washer to assemble! The rubber tire straps would be difficult to push over the steel peg. The instructions were terrible. Agree! Take a look at the parts picture. It is easy if you use common sense. I adjusted the bike by shaking it. It is going to your destination. Oh yes... No common sense people... There is no off loading your bike pics. The bottom line. I look forward to my first trip with my bikes because of the inexpensive, sturdy, easy to assemble bike rack. The bike rack is very EXPENSIVE but at a fraction of the cost of a bike shop rack. Those of you that can't figure it out will get totally assembled bike racks. There are bike shops waiting for you. Enjoy your travels with your bikes.

9. Tyger Auto TG RK3B203S Hatchbacks Minivans

Tyger Auto TG RK3B203S Hatchbacks Minivans

Allen's warranty doesn't cover third-party sellers. 100% assembled. It works on most sedans/Hatchbacks/Minivans and SUV's. This can't be done with vehicles with rearSPOILERs. TYGER No-Hassle Lifetime Warranty for US customers!

Brand: Tyger Auto

👤It's easy to set up and install, but once I mounted my bike on it, it didn't feel safe or sturdy. The straps that hold most of the bike's weight are supported by small metal clips with only tiny springs inside, which is a concern for me. It makes sense that they function as a quick open-close system to release the straps for easy and quick installation. The springs can give out with heavy bikes, so there is no additional tightener or closure to secure the straps. The bike rack would fall off the car if this happened. I think this is a major flaw. I bought plastic "tighteners" to add to the straps. It was very easy to add this above the metal clips, and I felt much better having this in addition to the metal clips. It's common sense that the manufacturer didn't provide something similar. There is a I like the design of the rack and it looks better than the most single bike rack I've seen, but I still think that the manufacturer should make the straps more secure and improve the design. I'm hesitant to carry my bike on this bike rack because it's heavy. The freeway is off limits. The safety of the strap clips is questionable, as if one is going to carry a bike with hands for hours, while the heavy duty rubber on the handles is questionable. The rubber protectors on the strap hooks that were supposed to protect the car paint were one of the reasons I decided to buy this rack. These are useless with my car. I had to hook them up to the bottom of the car because I couldn't slide the hooks into the thin opening on top of the car. I had to put some tape on the hooks to protect them. This modification is only for short term and short rides. The rubber protectors were useless because there was no paint to protect the car. The rubber coating is on the outside of the hooks and not inside where the paint rubbing and damage is most likely to occur. The hooks have rubber "dots" inside which are supposed to protect them. I don't think this will do any damage. There is a I don't use the rack daily so I can live with some of the issues, however if I were to use it daily I wouldn't like it. I don't think customers should buy a product and then have to look for ways to make it better or safer. It should meet the expectations right out of the box.

👤I decided to buy this bike rack after going back and forth on whether or not to buy a Thule rack that cost 3 times as much. I use it to haul two expensive bikes on freeways and winding mountain roads. The rack is very sturdy. It was easy to mount on the car, didn't slip or loosen even when the back of the car was open, and didn't scratch or damage my car at all. I was able to mount my women's bike without a cross-bar adapter because it held the bikes tight. The bike rack is better quality than the price suggests, and it's not just good quality for the price. It's a good rack.

👤The seller reached out to me with another replacement and it worked out. The rating has been updated from 2 to 4 stars. The bike rack is a good value at $80. You get what you pay for. The bike rack might be small enough to be stowed away in a small space because the box was smaller than I had expected. There was an issue with installing the 90-degree arms that the bikes mount on. The two holes through which the pin lock would be inserted did not line up, making it impossible to lock those arms. I requested a replacement and that one had the same issue, but to a lesser degree. I widened the holes so that the pin lock would slide through. There is a We finally got to use it last weekend. It is possible to carry heavier loads with the PROS hitch connection and can be lowered to allow the tailgate door to open without having to remove the bikes and rack. The height of the bottom lock pin did not obstruct my friend's truck's rear view, and the bungee cords included to help secure the bikes from sway were very compact. The bike rack hitch is more like 1 7/8", but it was necessary to dremel the 2nd order to make it work. The difference is that the tow hitch has built-in mechanisms to tighten the rack firmly in place. This one does not have that. It comes with a rechangular, metal plate and U-bolt to secure the rack firmly in place with instead of a built-in lock like the more expensive brands. If all 3 bikes are mounted, this could be a problem. Why? It might be difficult for some people to hold on to the heavy weight. This rack is what it is. It is inexpensive and comes with no frills. The ability to lower it would be the best feature. I would have given it 3 or 4 stars, but the fact that two shipments had the same hole alignment issue drops this down to 2 stars.

👤I think it is worth the price. There is nothing that can be done to keep the bikes from swinging.

👤A sturdy rack. There is a picture attached. It was delivered on time. Assembly instructions were clear. Prompt assistance was provided by the seller.

👤This is great for the money. The metal frame fits into the hitch well. It would be a good idea to recommend someone who is looking for a bike rack but doesn't want to spend a lot of money. It was worth it!

👤It was very sturdy and well-made.

👤We used it after we got it. It worked well. The pin fell off during transit because it didn't fit properly. They replaced it because no one was hurt.

👤The locking pin on the second bike rack won't go through, so I bought a different one.

👤I had to drill the holes again because the bolts weren't aligned.

👤There are a lot of bad reviews for this product. I think a lot of people didn't do anything to have amazing results when using this bike rack. I read the directions. I know, right? Weird. I read the directions and recommendations and the rack didn't break my window, it didn't scratch my car, and it didn't fall off while I was driving. It worked. And worked well. I hope the review helps others. The rack is awesome.

👤I put this bike rack on my 2012 Prius V. Amazon says it doesn't fit, but it is verified by the Allen fit guide on their website. It's been on several trips up and down the CA coast, from 70mph freeways to stop and go city traffic, and no problem. It's not easy to put on a car, so bring a friend to help you hold it up and do the straps. I found a few quick tips from other people that worked for me: 1) Wrap the metal strap clips in electrical tape or 2) put pieces of rubbery cabinet liner between the clip and the car. Protects your paint from scratches and helps the clips hold your car. There are two more To keep the wheels from spinning, use bungee cords to strap the bike to the rack. bungee cords never hurt anyone You can put your bikes on the rack. I saw people putting their bikes on. The bikes fit into each other better and the weight is distributed evenly across the rack if they are alternating them. There are four After putting the bikes on the rack, tighten your straps. The added weight on the bikes will change the distribution and forces on the rack so you need to give the straps more tugs. You should have your friend lift the rack while you tighten it. You can tuck away the excess straps in a variety of ways. If you have paint, I wrap the excess around the straps. After a long trip, take the rack off frequently and clean in between the pads. If you keep the rack on your car for long periods of time, dirt will get up in there and scratch or stain your paint and/or bumper, which is hard in the California climate. It's visible on my car, but it isn't bad. Enjoy your bike racks with those tips. I would love to hear about any additional tips you have.

👤I agree with those that say it's easy to open the box and install the rack. Take your time the first time and it will go on quickly. It took me 20 minutes the first time, including looking at the directions thoroughly. The next time I do it, it will take me less than 5 minutes and most of that time will be used to tighten the straps. I tried to use the rack today for the first time to take my son bike riding, but got the rack on the car and put his bike on the first spot, which was great. I tried to put on my ladies bike, but it was not good. I saw some pictures of other reviews that showed ladies bikes on there but it wouldn't work because I couldn't maneuver my bike on there. I was very tired and hot when I gave up. Sorry son, no bike riding today. The directions mention the stabilizer bar for ladies bikes, but this sheet is inside the box. I would have liked to know when I bought it. It's terrible that customers don't know that it's an issue before they buy it. I have to wait for a bar so I can take my son for a ride. If you are going to use this rack for a ladies style bike, you need to buy this thing. Just include the bar and update the price for the extra money. It's called the Men's 3 Bike Rack.
