I almost went into the office on Sunday for a few hours. The thought of having it all to myself without the phone ringing or anyone there to ask me questions was very enticing. I told myself if I went in for about 3 hours I could get through a bunch of stuff considering I was off last Friday and yesterday. I'm also in a training all day tomorrow.
But then I stopped myself and didn't let myself do it. I stayed home and dived into projects and chores at home. By Monday night I knew I had made the right choice. My mind was so clear.
I got to work this morning, wrote down my 7 item todo list, and powered through all of it in the first hour and a half. These were all things I was going to do if I went in on Sunday. Done!
My mind felt fresh, and I felt re-invigorated when I got to work this morning. I was really happy with everything I got done at home over the weekend. It was a good reminder of how important my time away from work is and how I think it actually makes me more productive when I am at work.
