Blogging in 2013

With a little bit of growth in my blog readership the last 4-5 months, I started thinking about blogging in 2013.

First I've spent way too much some time updating the layout and look of my blog. HTML is not my friend, but I'm learning. With lots of help from others who post tutorials to just trial and error, it's felt like a rough road, but I think I'm done tweaking it. I toned down the colors because it was looking a little obnoxious and I even made some blog buttons all by myself in Photoshop Elements. (Thank you You Tube!)

I now have my Events page linking back to the recap for each event listed. And with trying to keep my sidebar as clutter free as possible, I have a page highlighting my most popular posts.

In 2013 ....
I hope to stick to a schedule of new posts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

I have Challenges planned for February, May, August, and December.

I'd like to add in an interview every few months. I would love to highlight other bloggers on here.

I'll probably be scaling back my Links of the Week posts - not sure exactly if people get much out of those? Let me know.

A Monthly Goals post will go up at the beginning of the month and a Best of the Month at the end.

I'll be highlighting my Project Life album - about one post/month.

And then of course I'll be posting about my running/cycling training and events.

If there's anything else you'd like to see or hear about, let me know!

So basically, I hope to get a more regular blogging schedule going in 2013 with more consistent topics that can carry through the whole year along with those random things sprinkled in here and there.

And I figure this all goes along with my 2013 theme of Doing It.
