2013: Doing It

Doing It. That's my theme for 2013. I'm not setting a big list of goals for the year. I'm going to take this year month by month. I'll be posting my monthly goals at the beginning of each month.

As I look out across 2013 I do have some things I already know I'll be doing:
  1. Seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time.
  2. Visiting my best friend in Texas.
  3. Spending a weekend in San Diego with friends.
  4. Riding in the Wine Country Century, Levi's GranFondo, and Foxy's Fall Century.
  5. Running a half marathon on St. Patrick's Day.
  6. Taking a San Francisco photo safari in April with professional photographers.
  7. Filling my home with more original artwork.
  8. Keeping memories via Project Life.
  9. Cheering on friends from the sidelines during a few days of AIDS/LifeCycle 12.
  10. Purchasing only things I actually need or deeply love.

I'm jump starting my January with a little checklist I made up. I challenge you to do the same!

Go HERE to download a free copy of this checklist.
Is there something you want to get a jump start on in 2013? What will you be doing in 2013? I would love to hear about it.

Let's do it!

  1. Oh, I want to see the Grand Canyon so bad! That will be an amazing trip.

Unsubscribing from all those junk emails has been amazing. I also set up filters so those retail emails I still want to get go directly to a separate folder and don't clog my main inbox.

When we moved from Sac I told myself I could not buy new lotions until I ran out of all the stuff I had. I just purchased new lotion before Christmas - three years worth of lotion was excessive. :)

  2. I can't wait to see your pics from the Grand Canyon. It's an awesome place. Sounds like you have a fun year planned :)

I don't know what I'm going to do this year. I'm kind of in limbo at the moment. A Big task I'd like to tackle is organizing our photos. It's going to be a daunting task.

  3. I love your #10. That's been my view and I often get frustrated with the confusion many have between what a need is and what a want is. Even with my DIYs I only do that which I really really want, would use and have function for me.

A few weeks ago I did the email unsubscribe! I unsubscribed like a mad woman and deleted like crazy. My inbox went from over 1000 emails to 50. :)I don't own any medicine so I suppose I couldn't do that one but I do need to update my passwords. Thanks for the reminder! And I love your sell something. I'm always selling something and currently have stuff listed on Craigslist. :)

Cheers to you and some great goals!

  4. When we first reached the Grand Canyon (north rim) we weren't that impressed. I mean it was nice, but not really that big. Still, we'd have time to explore when we got to the lodge. Then we reached the lodge we saw the real canyon. Wow. What we'd seen from the road was just a side canyon.
Great tips. My email is fine but I've been having a similar clear out on Twitter.
Good luck with the half-marathon. I did my first last year.
